David AThank God for Rocky’s! I dropped my truck off with the app. I usually go in. The app froze as it often does, so I called UHaul. Sent pictures of the mileage and gas. The truck did not get returned in the system. I was busy and did not realize. I got a call from Rocky or I would have been charged extra and had to waste time on that. Would be great if the app worked. I rent trucks all the time. Works 2x out of 5.
DEROLYN BHurt by back severely while trying to connect the trailer to my car in the rain, on an incline. Was unable to connect the hitch because the plate on the trailer that tightens against the ball was not functioning properly. The attendant at the gym had to go inside to his business and ask members of the gym who were working out, to come out and help us lift it onto my truck. This business model is absolutely ridiculous and I will never give uhaul my money again to rent equipment. In no part of the rental process prior to showing up, does it say that the customer is responsible for connecting the trailer to the car themselves and lifting this massive piece of equipment onto their car without help. (Liability reasons). The greedy practices of uhaul, scaling to this business model from a proper client experience where you show up, pay money, and receive a service -- to a pay in advance, show up, connect your own trailer (no matter age, sex, or physical capability). This is the most mentally ill business practice I've seen in a long time. After injuring myself on site loading the trailer, I wasn't able to load the trailer AT ALL. I had to wait until the next day, call in my 70 year old father in law to help us move. It was pathetic. I wasn't able to make it to our destination in time because of the pain while driving. I barely slept for the days it took to make it down to Florida from Massachusetts. I then couldn't unload the trailer and had to hire help. The whole experience was terrible for us. I am still in pain a week later writing this email and have trouble walking.

SHANE RWe had a wrinkle when picking up, realizing that the truck I reserved wouldn't be large enough. The person in CS was able to locate and direct me to a nearby location with a larger truck that was great. Very pleased.
Dave DIt seemed that there was excess slop in the trailer hitch. The trailer looked new but had been repainted. Unloaded, the trailer rattled like crazy on the ball. Rocky and his team were great though.

George TI specifically did in person pickup and drop off due to not being able to download the app on my cell phone. Once I got to the location I pretty much had to do everything online...pretty frustrating out in the hot sun...there were items on my original order that I was not able to edit out, the location was able to take off the moving blankets but I had other charges when I completed the return online...what was supposed to be 34.00 van rental cost over 77.00. That is not OK. Last time I was overcharged for mileage by double and neither haul or the location was able to fix it. I WILL NEVER AGAIN USE ANY UHAUL SERVICES.EVER AND I WILL RECOMMEND TO OTHER PEOPLE NOT TO USE IT AS WELL. Great scam you have going-enjoy ripping off your customers while you have them. Want to mentioned Dan at the pick up location of Rockys gym was very friendly and helpful!!!

Only question I have is that I got charged for two $15.00 Safe Trip Charge. One for each of the two trips that I made (Fist trip Friday/Second trip Sunday). JARED SI have rented a U-Haul 5 times from this location and most every time the charges are more than I expected. This last time I was charged $70 for 1 hour rental and 11 miles for the van. I was also charged the $15 safe fee which I did not select.

PAMELA HDo you have any rating below "Poor?" How about "Disastrous?" The young lady with whom I dealt wasn't interested in dealing with me, too busy vaping (in a gym, no less!) and totally flustered by having more than one customer at a time. She could not find the drop-off location on her system, so she just picked one (New York City, no less!). She never printed out any paperwork for me, telling me it would all be handled at the drop-off. When I received the contract via email later that day that indicated a price twice the amount I was quoted, I called and spoke to her and she again said everything would be handled at drop-off. She also tried to charge me for insurance, which I had specifically declined. I realize that this was a franchise location, but U-Haul's image took a mighty blow through this experience.

Robb HRocky and the location was helpful; When I opened door of the truck there was food on seats and cup holders spilled dried up coffee; floors not vacuumed ; I requested help with cleaning and Rocky staff wiped down the vehicle so I was able to sit in seat and drive; truck was never vacuumed or swept clean from the prior users.

John PMy rental experience was a nightmare. I was supposed to pick up the moving truck in Hyannis, but on the day of the scheduled pickup, U-Haul notified me by phone that I needed to pick it up in East Falmouth, which is further down the Cape. They claimed they had sent me an email about this change, but I did not see it at the time of driving to the original destination. When I arrived at Rocky's Gym in East Falmouth, I was instructed to go up the street to get the truck. Upon arriving at that location, I found the truck parked on the lawn of an abandoned house and stuck in the mud. It took two hours for the truck to be removed from that spot, during which my movers were charging me for those additional two hours. The fuel gauge showed that the truck was close to empty and needed gas. All of this was happening during a snowstorm. When I finally reached the location where I was supposed to move and opened the back of the truck, I discovered that none of the equipment I had requested (the furniture dolly, appliance dolly, and moving blankets) was there. Daylight was quickly fading, making the pickup and delivery process even more urgent. I contacted a U-Haul service representative to report my issues and place a formal complaint. They told me that a manager would contact me after reviewing my case within three business days, which meant I would hear back by Wednesday of the following week. They also informed me that I needed to drop off the vehicle and make my payment before any further action could be taken. I returned the truck to the drop-off point on the same day as the move. On Monday, I received the transaction details from Rocky's Gym and Country Rentals, and the drop-off center charged me for an additional 21 miles over the limit of 59 miles, along with gas charges. They also charged me an extra day fee of $40, which I did not have the truck and had dropped off on the same day I took it. The drop-off location was a business closed for the winter, and no person was on site. I couldn't believe they were also charging me for the additional miles caused by their change in my original pickup location and for gas that was not provided initially. I have not heard back from UHAUL management and expect to hear from them by tomorrow.

Fabio MTerrible customer service. No available equipment besides the truck, and the person working the desk did not remove the items from my original rental contract or make any effort to explain why or how I could find the tools to help with my move. The Hyannis location, on the other hand, was amazing in the middle of all of this when I needed boxes and other items. They helped put a note on my original contract to get the charges removed, and the regional rep who called to apologize for the bad service at Rocky's was also fantastic in helping get the charges reduced. Save yourself from stress, rent from a full service location like the one in Hyannis even if you have to drive an extra distance. Ricky's 0/10 do not recommend.
