I was making a long haul move. Yellowknife to Edmonton.Reserved a 22’ truck a month in advance. Kept calling and asking if it would be available, but they kept telling me they were new and would do their best. The day before I was to pick up, I was told the truck was not available and was being downsized to a 15’ truck and an 8’x5’ cargo trailer. Was told that if this was not sufficient to submit a message. I did. Nobody ever responded. When I picked up the truck/trailer, there was a larger truck on the lot. I asked if I could use that one instead. I was told that someone else had reserved it. Took the 15’ and trailer to my place to start loading. Not nearly enough space. We had to rent an 8’x10’ storage unit for some stuff and are now having to pay movers to get the rest of that stuff down here. A couple days later we drive past the Uhaul lot and the large truck was back there. The person who rented it was using it for an in-town move. Making them take the 15’ trailer would have meant two trips across town instead, I have to take the smaller truck from Yellowknife to Edmonton. Makes no sense!

Current location is under construction/renovation. Once construction is completed location will look much better. Equipment (Trucks, trailers, etc) on site is in excellent condition and very clean. Received excellent communication from various U-Haul reps over billing issue. Sorry but I am bad with names but those who helped resolve the the billing issue will recognize themselves. Overall an excellent customer experience and I would highly recommend U-Haul as an excellent moving resource. Would use again in an instant.

Sean was already on site for the meet-up. The trailer was ready to go and did not take long to hook up. He was thorough on the paperwork and ensure I was happy with the order.
