The truck had a smell of someone smoking inside the cab. It was not cleaned there where sunflower seeds everywhere.

I was overcharged over 2 weeks after. They gave me the vehicle with 1/4 of a tank of gas and had me driving everywhere to get a uhaul. This was totally unprofessional.

Lock had to be pried open. Nobody on site to help assist. Lost 30 minutes of my appointment trying to get open rusted lock and get into contact with someone to assist. Terrible experience.

This is a drop-off only. It's a beauty salon. With no place to park the truck except on the street. Staff advised to move the truck to a "free" parking location on a different street. There was no available parking anywhere nearby. Ultimately the truck was parked in a paid parking street slot as the only available nearby location. By that time, the Studio was closed, even though it was only 3 p.m. and they were to be open until 7 pm. That required a long call to Uhaul to determine what to do with the keys.

The location itself was fine. But using locations that rely solely on the 24/7 app is absolutely ridiculous. The app and the website itself are not sufficiently functional to allow for any kind of quality experience. It took 2 hours and a change of location to check out the van and took another hour and a complete failed experience on the app and phone to return the van. Your business model is very problematic and you need to go back to having fully staffed locations if you're going to have any success. I do not plan to use U-Haul again based on how bad my experience was.

Great customer service; promptly answered phone and my questions. This location is mobile checkin only (no counter) just parking spaces in the back of the store. The U-Haul website needs to be more location specific. I would rent from this location again.

The location did not have the Uhaul in the correct location. I was walking around aimlessly trying the key in any uhaul I found until someone finally answered the phone to explain that it was blocks away from where it was described.

The parking location was difficult to park in, the lot was too small for the two vans and the alley narrow to maneuver into the spot. The van that was parked in the lot on my return took half of the lot and made it more difficult to park when I returned the van. The van was dirty, smelled like smoke and have cigarette ashes in the cup holders and counsel.

Right side rear view mirror was broken. Ordered a dolly too and was not included in the rental. They said they put in a work order about the side view mirror but the fact that they still lent this UHaul for someone to drive shows their lack of attention and concern for driver safety, especially driving a large cargo van. Worst experience I've ever had moving.

Instructions for pick up were not great. I managed to do it with phone help. The person on the phone was helpful. The return was less smooth. When I brought the van back, there were two cars in the driveway and no room for my van. I searched for instructions as to where I should leave the van in this situation but found none. I tried to contact a human, but received no response. I ended up parking on the street nearby and dropping the key in the drop box. Later, they called me and told me that there was no parking on the street, although I thoroughly checked for signage to make sure I wasn't parking illegally. The person on the phone then suggested that I would be charged for any parking tickets! I said absolutely not. They ended up hanging up. They did not end up charging my account for a parking ticket.

Waited on hold for 45 minutes to get lock box code, because the online check in did not give me the code. Truck was horribly dirty, both inside cab and in box. Fuel level was at "48 miles to empty" Blankets were requested and charged, but were not in the truck. I couldn't talk to anyone to get blankets As many rentals as I have had with U-Haul, this is by far the worst experience in regards to cleanilness, customer service. I could not verify the starting mileage at online check-in either, so there was no way for me to verify starting mileage and fuel level. Be happy to share photos of the condition of the vehicle. I had to clean it to feel safe in today's Covid-19 environment. Box had to be cleaned in order to place household goods in back.

The dollies that I ordered (and was charged for) were not included in my cargo van, requiring me to visit another U-Haul location to get them (I would, however, highly recommend the South Loop location for their promptness and friendliness in providing me with dollies). The pickup for vehicles at this location is in an alley, obstructed with gates that are difficult to open and keep open. The van was parked so closely to the garage next door, that I had to climb in through the passenger side. The key box for the vehicles is incredibly difficult to open. I think the only way to improve this location would be to close it permanently.

They were 30 minutes late to communicating where the truck was, so our move-in time was impeded on putting us in a timing predicament. I had rented dolly's and moving blankets, but it wasn't communicated until after we finally had the truck that that wasn't a service at that location putting us at an even more moving disadvantage with our time to loading.

I scheduled a van rental at one location and then last minute was told that my order had changed and that a van would now be available at a different location, with which i was unfamiliar. I then had to go find the van in an alley. I selected the original location/dealer because i had picked a van up from them a year or so ago and was familiar with the area and the parking was pretty straight forward. This new location had a parking spot in an alley where the van butted up against the garage and didn't even fit in the gated driveway. I had to ask for help parking/returning this vehicle.

Hard to get in and out. No one at the site. Hard to open lockbox. Had to wait for someone to come and open the lockbox. The guy forgot to send me the code for the lock.
