Fender was damaged, Trailer lights were not working. Mechanic came to fix 2+ hours after the call. Your dispatch couldn't figure out our home address, so we had to wait at the dealer until he arrived. Took him less than 10 minutes to replace the light and fix the wiring. There is no reason that couldn't have been maintained previously. The woman at the dealer did everything she could to help us out. The person she was dealing with on the phone from U-Haul did everything she could. My only issue was the lack of maintenance.

Employee was not well trained waited over an hour during pick up for employee to sort out rental and waited over an hour during return for employee to sort out refund because rental was processed wrong. Spent more time waiting at facility than I did actually using the trailer I rented

I had reserved a truck at a location in Ottawa. When I arrived in the morning to pick up my truck, I was advised that the time had been moved to the afternoon & the location was at a different spot in Ottawa. They advised that someone should have called me, but no one did. I had a specific time frame at my apartment to use the elevators and had hired movers to help and they were arriving at that time. The afternoon was not going to be an option. At that point I called the main number for U-Haul as the original U-Haul location advised he couldn't do anything. The customer service rep that helped me was very professional and helpful. They were able to find this location, which was over an hour drive away, but it was still an option. I had no issues at this location, but was an hour over my elevator time and had to deal with the building manager and the next people scheduled to use the elevator. Overall it was not a good experience.

Train the girl at the counter to be able to use the U-Haul online program or improve the wifi. Wait time was over 40 minutes to finalize the contract and pick up the equipment when the online check-in was ALREADY done by customer.

Kept me waiting 40 minutes while waiting on store customers, charged me for 10 km over even though I left truck with more gas than it came with and not willing to negotiate...not impressed and will probably not use this service again

The gas station/variety store worker was very young and inexperienced with uHaul check out. I had to call uHaul customer service first. Then he had to call. He did try his best but perhaps someone with more experience should process rentals.

The tailgate lift assist spring had 3 of 4 leaf springs rusted and broken making it quite heavy to lift. Fortunately the last leaf held and no one was injured.

Not sure where to start. This was a disaster! The guy at Rubs garage was working alone and trying to run the gas station and serve me. Took him an hour to get me set up and give me the keys. U-Haul double booked, so somebody coming in after me was about to be very upset. The people at U-Haul when trying to reserve the truck couldn't figure out that Portland, ON to Kingston, ON is not that far. They had me down for over 3000 km and needing the truck for 10 days! They had me picking up in Portland, Oregon! I had to call 5 different people to get it right. It still wasn't, she just fudged the system for the right pick up and drop off, but they wanted $1500! After freaking out, she said she would make it $117. The icing on the cake was when they sent me my in voice, it said $0, but my visa was charged $117. Who is running this show? A bunch of monkeys?

Portland was not my original rental reservation site. Princess Street in Kingston was,they cancelled my reservation because no trailer available. .Nearest trailer available was a 45 minute drive away in the wrong direction adding more than 2 hours onto my trip. The person that arranged that reservation gave a p[ick up time as of 10 am, even though I told them I worked till noon, and was almost an hour away, asking for a 3 pm pick up, when I arrived there my reservation had been cancelled because I did not pick it up on time. NONE of the emails reacted me until hours after I had picked up the trailer and left. This is the worst company for customer service...trying to run the world from TEXAS!!!

This location is operated by a rude and controlling man. He demands people be submissive to his questions and doesnt give you an opportunity to answer before cutting you off by demanding an answer. Very bold and impossible to tolerate. He uses the police to strong arm clients as he believes he is being cheated and robbed. No sooner did I drop off the key and he left threatening police action if I did not call him back immediately. My response is to leave someone that rude waiting for as long as I want to. His response is to just continue to escalate the situation beyond hope of resolution. Very poor people skills. On my part too but I'm not running a business. I am supposed to be the customer that is treated politely in the first place. I would guess that a lot of people are just like me and just walk out and dont go back. Who needs it. There are other companies to use without the hassle of dealing with a rude jackass. The use of the police to threaten and intimidate should be illegal. He filed a no trespassing against me by lying to the police. I was fortunate to have the employee provide testimony to the police report to refute his lies. Also the video to show it was untrue. Not a good person.

Truck tire pressure sensor was alerting of an issue when picked up. The rear tire had a nail in it and needed to be replaced shortly after driving the vehicle.

little attention to details.... truck was at 3/4 tank rather than full, right front tire had a slow leak....BUT unit was clean and well maintained. overall, quite satisfied...

I rented a 5 x 9 trailer. With all of the freezing rain this year it was froze in and they got out of the ice and ready for me. No complaints.

Their reservation and payment system was extremely slow. The service rep seemed unsure what to do at times. The trucks windscreen was full of snow and ice; it took me 20 mins to clear and thaw it. Truck was great otherwise.

Engine light on. Drivers seat not adjustable. Rep had no experience. Had to call someone else to process reservation. I had to request that screaming kids in background be taken away from phone I had to repeat info too many times. Took too long to process. I had people waiting to help me. A very unpleasant experience. Never again!

My initial request included the absolute necessity for a ramp and when everything was set up I verbally confirmed that there would be a ramp on it. I was disappointed when the truck was picked up and ready to be loaded when we discovered that there WASN'T a ramp on it and that truck had to be returned/exchanged for one with a ramp. However, there were no problems whatsoever with the exchange and, therefore, we were happy in the end.

there was a truck outside so I walked in to rent it, no reservation. Computer was down, the store guy did not know what to do. He called a bunch of phone numbers eventually handed me the phone, I was on hold with u-haul for a long time. Eventually I hung up and booked online. I was in a hurry and somehow apparently got dinged $15 for insurance I guess, I did not want. Truck had empty bottles and garbage in the cab, pink insulation and bits of stuff in the back. The location is very convenient for the odd time I need to rent though.

Check over your rentals and clean them before renting out again and update your records. Vehicle rented was filthy,stinky in drivers cab and outgoing mileage was incorrectly documented.

I booked the trailer online on Saturday I went at 9am on Sunday to pick up the trailer. I was told there was a problem with my credit card. I called UHaul and was told there was no problem and to continue with the pick-up. When I hung up I was told by the cashier that the man that could help me had gone upstairs to a meeting and wouldn't be able to help me for 30minutes. (This is Sunday morning in a tiny village gas station) After waiting for 40minutes with my 8year old son I called back to UHaul who called the store, at this time the man showed up and we signed out the trailer. No one even came out to point out the trailer or to help hook it up. I just picked one and took it. The man told me I had to have the trailer back for 8pm. I told him that now I was an hour late because of the ridiculous wait. After much complaining he agreed to let me drop it off after closing. I had the trailer returned by 10:30pm. Tuesday I received an additional charge on my credit card and a message from the man saying he didn't know when I returned the trailer so he was adding charges. When I called back he was again in a meeting for 30minutes. At this point my wife called from home to complain (I'm at work) the man who answered cut her off the minute she said UHaul, told her to call back after 5. He cut her off numerous times eventually yelled at her and hung up on her. I did finally reach the man regarding the charges explained I had returned the trailer and he agreed not to charge me more. The man in charge called my wife back (must have used call display) yelled at her, called her an idiot women, told her he didn't care if she never came back. My wife spoke very calm and professionally and explained that this was not the type of customer service we would expect from a member of our own small community. He just said go whine to UHaul, go whine to the Prime Minister I don't care and hung up on her. I am shocked that UHaul would jeapordize your reputation by being associated with these types of businessmen.

The location is a one-man operation that also is a gas/convenience store. He clearly doesn't have time to do everything, and so the trailer I rented was dirty. He helped me lift the trailer on to the hitch, but then went back to service his customers. He wasn't around to check me in. I would likely rent there again because the location is convenient to my cottage, but if one had a choice of locations, this is not the one I would pick.

What a joke! Don't even have a clue what's going on. I dropped off the truck the night before. So the key was in a locked key box. He told me to go get it when I went in the next day to revieve my deposit back. He acted as If I knew where he kept the key to his lock box and told me to get the kms and basically do his job. I was there to collect $100 and it took almost 25 minutes. And there was no customers. Just a asshole wanting to waste my time. I think he was hoping I'd just get pissed off and leave and he'd get my $100.

When we arrived here, we were greeted by Gary who went over and above to help us out in the situation we were in. He called the head office to try and sort out what had happened with all the paperwork. (Regina carwash booked it as an intown move instead of the one-way I had booked it as. Needless to say he helped me out of a huge fee.) I would recommend the Medicine Hat Mini Storage and would go through them again.

Left turn signal does not work. My reservation turned out not be a reservation. I picked up my U haul 2 hours after the scheduled pick up time at different location and it was a different piece of equipment than ordered.

Exceptional service. Cheryl Barker, the Operations Supervisor at your Calgary branch, was very helpful particularly with respect to my moving goods from the USA to Canada. I had no problem getting hold of Cheryl when I was in the States and needed some information. Cheryl is an exceptional, knowledgeable employee and certainly went out of her way to help me with my move. If Cheryl is indicative of your other ABF employees in your company, the company has a great future. I should also mention the online tracking system, quotes, helpful hints for moving, etc. was very useful.I would certainly use ABF again.

The personnel informed my husband nand myself the trucks are to be inspected each and every time, he told us the truck was a mess, my husband and myself spent our time cleaning the inside of the truck, the outside was dirty, when we picked up that is the way we dropped it off.

It would be helpful to receive notice of the location pickup prior to the night before. That's fine for a local move, but not helpful if moving a distance. It was difficult to talk someone into letting me know if there was in fact a truck for us!!
