Michael EI picked up the U-Haul and the employee told me that the person before me forgot to check in so the mileage was going to be off. Never updated that into the system so when I dropped the U-Haul off the mileage was wrong and it said that I drove 80 miles, 30 miles over my expected mileage so I was charged for extra mileage even though I drove my estimated amount.
Brandon AI don’t agree with being charged 364 dollars for dropping it off at a different location than where I picked it up. It would cost 50 in gas to drive it back to where I got it from. I will remember that the next time I’m in need of a moving truck.

Frederick CClear precise information that is honored by the company. Was told since I was picking it up on 1/4 tank of gas, if I returned it with the same amount I would be reimbursed $10. But if less then no penalty. However I got charged $40 for gas. Was told that I could estimate additional mileage and if I used less then I would be refunded. That was also false. Looks like profits are gained on hoping customers believe what they say and don’t follow up on their promises.
Caldin HWe were delayed 30 minutes before getting to location, so they were closed. Therefore, used online return. this was a disaster. I could not go forward on site all the way through without being sent back several times. Ended up calling a number I was giving by a uhaul customer support rep. and being sent to another location. The person at his location had us checked in and out of there in 5 minutes. People I talked to were great, but the online process needs work. My son said he had a similar situation when he rented a truck awhile back.

Bob HI picked up the trailer on 1-7-23 @ 2pm. I told the clerk I would have it back by 6pm. He said drop it off after hours and it would be fine (no extra charges would be filed). I dropped it off on 1-7-23 @ approximately 530pm. On 1-12-23 I received a email stating I had late equipment. I called safe storage. They stated they didnt have the trailer but they would get to the bottom of it. Today 1-20-23 I get a text and email stating i dropped off my trailer and was charged for 14 days.... I used Safe Storgae because it was close to my step sons apartment. He lives in Alabama. I live in Tn. I physically dropped off the equipment on 1-7-23. I am the only person in my family with a vehicle that can tow a trailer thats why I rented it. Now Im being overdrafted because of a clerical error or stolen equipment. Either way they need better help there to ensure no one else loses money for helping out a family member. I have disbuted the charge but have no money going into the weekend. If and or when I get my money back Ill still be in the hole because of overdraft charges.

Crystal JThe first trailer that we were given had a flat tire. We insisted on another unit instead of the one they wanted us to take. They said if we would take it they would reimburse us for the air. We inspected the tire and saw a nail in it. The units should be physically inspected by the renting agency. If we had taken that first unit we could have been stranded on our journey.

Crystal JMake sure that the person renting the truck know exactly when the truck needs to be returned before leaving the lot instead of calling 25 mins after the return time and charging for another day!! Especially if it's their first time renting a U-Haul. If I knew they was charging me for another day then I would've kept it till the following day at least then I would've had time to pick up the last few items I needed.
