Tamara HThe mobile app was slow and not user friendly. The fact that an employer verification was needed is ridiculous. The employer was unavailable on a SATURDAY to verify employment because they are closed on the weekend. Did not give any options for references It would not allow me to go back to the previous page. Got frustrated and left that location and drove down the street to another location that was open but they didn’t have what we needed so we had to drive back to the original location. Called uhaul customer service number and the representative was great! We’ve rented many many uhaul trucks and this was one of the worst experiences we’ve had. Took almost an hour to get the truck. Return was easy breezy.
Sandra HAdd Jacks to the tounge of the trailers so if we need to park them for a short period we can, I had to rent a second vehicle so I wouldnt tow the trailer into small lots everywhere i went. only a suggestion, would really help people in the future!

Matt OYesterday was a cluster fuck! I had ordered supplies on the 9th, pick up was the 10th, they gave us a lock I had ordered online, and yet I also got notice that another lock was being shipped to me. I DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING TO BE SHIPPED. I tried all day on the 10th to cancel that order and wasn't able to. Spoke with the most awful representative this morning who was more interested in listening to his own voice than to hearing me. I'll be charged $13.40 for shipping although I never requested it. I can also tap into my own personal time and return the lock for a refund to a uhaul dealer. When I rented the truck and bought supplies and ordered a storage unit online I thought everything was going to be at the same location. Silly me! Truck pick up in one location. Storage place with supplies at another location. Also, when our guys showed up to get the storage units we were given, there were keys on the locks. They were trying to give us someone else's units. The desk was very crowded while my guys waited there and I got on the phone to resolve the situation. Eventually we were given two new units. Next time I will seriously look at someone other than uhaul for our moving needs, which we use at least 2x/month.

cora kI had the absolute worst time working with U-Haul for this move, I’ve never experienced so many inconveniences with one booking as I did with this one. Moving as a 36-week pregnant single mother is extremely less than ideal, yet uhaul somehow made it the most stressful day of my life. I obviously can’t move anything myself, so I had to have friends and family and coworkers move their schedules around to help me out, everything was on a schedule because they have their own lives. After my pickup location being moved TWICE well out of the way because U-Haul could not provide any truck within twenty miles of my preferred pickup location, the location never left a key out for me to pick up the truck. After multiple called of sitting on hold with customer service for almost three hours, we finally got to someone that informed us they found a location (this location) that left a truck out, bigger than the one we’d booked originally, and they’d upgrade us for free. We get there and complete the pick up process, but the app never provides me with the code to the lock box where the key is located. Another call to customer service. We got the code and hung up. The serial number on the key did not match any of the trucks in front of the building. Another call to customer service. During the 15 minutes I was waiting for someone to pick up at customer service, my dad found the truck on the side of the building, with the big door open and trash throughout the truck. I hung up and sent a picture to the open chat on the app, the picture was added to my contract. We finally hit the road with the truck, but with the delay uhaul had caused we had lost 2 of the 4 people that was supposed to help my dad move everything from my second story apartment, so what would have originally been a one-hour move turned into a two/three-hour move. This delay also caused us to lose three people that were supposed to unload at the second location. And to top it off, we found a leak in the U-Haul that (between the leak and the state of the truck when we picked it up) soaked water dirt and mud into my brand new mattress. After expressing the issues we had with U-Haul customer service, we were offered a $50 refund, which was completely offset with a $104 charge for extra mileage (which wouldn’t have been an issue if they could’ve provided a truck within 20 miles of my original pickup location) and 13 gallons of gas (when the truck was almost on empty when we picked it up). I, in total, spent almost $400 directly into U-Haul and this fiasco, plus the loss of a $350 mattress, and was only offered a $50 refund. Absolutely the worst customer service experience I’ve ever experienced, they had no remorse for how much stress they put me under, especially when I’m three weeks away from having a baby.
Kristiana KSonya? I think, was very pleasant to work with. I would suggest a real key drop box for after hours returns instead of dropping keys through a hole in the door. It's definitely possible for someone to reach through the door with a grabber and steal keys.

John FThe very inefficient lady at the front desk had one customer but chatted so much that she could not answer a simple question of a 12x20 rental guess. Also, she would not give my key until after finished with the current customer. I had movers scheduled and had already checked in mobile but she couldn't take a second to give me my key that I saw right in front of her; waited 30+ minutes. Also the check engine light was on in the truck and the exhaust was extremely loud; sounded like it had a hole in it.

Jueline LThe 15ft truck I reserved was not available, so I was given a 20ft truck. And while I was only charged for a 15ft truck, the 20ft truck was far too big for my needs. I reserved a utility dolly which was also not available and was forced to use an appliance dolly. Lastly, I was told by the attendant that I could return to truck early at my destination and get a refund for the time not used. This turned out to not be true. I rushed to get the job done and return the truck early only to be told that I could not get a refund for returning the truck 24 hours early.
