Representative ignored us when we came to pick up the vehicle. He kept working on his computer for over five minutes without even greeting us. The dog and cat paid attention to us but he just acted as if we were not even in the room. When I returned the vehicle, he did the same thing. I waited at the counter, five feet from him, but he just looked down at his desk ignoring my presence. Finally, he looked up took the key and just nodded. When I made the reservation by phone, the lady I spoke with was wonderful. She was helpful, acted interested in my needs, and was repectful.PHILLIP S.

First, I had to drive an hour out of my wah to pickup the uhaul because no locations had a 20' truck. Then, I ordered a dolly and pads; get there and the equipment I ordered isn't there!!!!! I call customer service and it says it is a 29 minute wait. We were on a time limit, that is unacceptable. My boyfriend called the sales line and got right through to someone. It was 10am and we were told we could wait for our location to open at 1pm! Or She found a dolly and pads, another hour out of the way. I literally laughed at her. We ended up asking for a refund and did without because it was too much of a hassle. I will never rent with uhaul again. It was an awful experience. let me pick up the truck where i go to order the truck provide a truck with less than 80,000 miles on it when i am traveling half way across the country deliver truck with a full tank of gas cuz its impossible to return with exactly 5 8ths of a tank why charge a clean up fee when the truck was not at all dirty when returned.DAVID B.

I wasn't thrilled about booking online and having my pickup and drop off locations changed. It added miles to my trip and cost me an extra mileage fee. I guess it's the nature of the business but I think the extra mileage should've been waved. Otherwise a good experience.Robert H.

The Salem location was fine, but my reservation was supposed to be for 10:00 a.m., and when I received the phone call regarding my pick-up location on Saturday, i was told that it was for 1:15 and 45 minutes away. I was not pleased! This later time really affected our move, making it extremely difficult. I have always used u-haul in the past. I will think twice the next time.JOHN D.

It took 2 trips to get the rental - your on line renting is terrible- had to call 2 times and got a very nasty girl ( second person on the first call)hade to redo the whole rental- took from 11:00pm and I got home at 1:30pm - and I live 2 minutes away- This is the second time I have used U- haul - not a fan at allChuck S.

I was over charged and lied to by the Uhaul in Salem, Ohio. He was very rude and unprofessional! He charged me for cleaning a clean uhaul and the ledge inside was dirty when I rented it! I is treated very unfairly by those people and I will never go back.SHAWNA R.

When I arrived and I entered the building no one inside was wearing a mask despite the COVID-19 mandate. He asked for the keys and no other info. I had to tell him that the truck I was returning was not the one I had started off in. There was an accident on my trip the U-Haul handled beautifully. When I picked up the new truck it was dirty and only had a 1/4 tank of gas. I informed him of this and that I did sweep out the back of the truck and fill the tank all the way. He still charged me for cleaning even though I received a dirty truck.Peter S.

This is the worst pickup location i have ever imagined. The staff was extreemely rude and unprofessional. The agreed upon pickup location and time were changed without my knoledge, and the vehicle had less than a half a tank of fuel in it. The Region Manager changed my order and no one let me know about it until I arrived. I ordered and received a confirm for a smaller truck, one way, to move a mattress and dresser. When I arrived, I was told I had no reservation. That's when we realized some region potentate had changed the order from one way to local, and the size I wanted was not available. I had to pay more and accept a 20 foot truck to move a mattress, box spring, simple metal frame and a small dresser. Just a total waste of space. And if I wasn't a confident driver of large vehicles, there is no way I would have been able to make the backing maneuvers I had to make at the pick up location...on a lake, tiny roads barely able have two cars pass in opposite directions. The truck was clean and operational. I'd rented from this firm last year. The local guys are helpful, polite and patient. I like 'em. Like most UHaul locations, this one was not the most inviting of spaces. A little pride of ownership in your customer space would go a long way. Not just for this location, bur for others I've used over my lifetime.Arthur S.
