You need to know how to operate what you’re renting. If you don’t you could get in a lot of trouble. After trailer was put on truck I asked Phillip to make sure strap device worked? It did not! Philip then said I will go get some w-d 40 and try that. After a minute it started to be ok. I always ask how all mechanical things work if I do not have any tools on me and I was 400 miles from home. If I did not know anything he would have just let me drive away without checking. And when I had to put my broke down car on trailer I would not of been able to use the straps. Terrible! I had no issues other than that for the trailer. The truck itself was very dirty inside. For what I paid and the 8 hours I had to be in it at 55 mph you would think it would be in better condition.

Caroline DEmployees were very friendly, truck was clean, service was quick. I was surprised to get a $25 cleaning fee for a little mud in the back of the truck - I did not see the sign that said I need to sweep before returning. I returned the truck a day early and would have had time to clean if I knew. I also wasn't invited to inspect the truck together when returning, at which point I would expect them to tell me to quickly sweep to avoid the cleaning fee.

Juliana HI reserved a truck online. Very easy process. Thirty minutes before pickup time the location was changed. Text message and a phone call advised me of the change. That was very helpful and the new location wasn’t far. However, it might be a good idea to let potential renters know that pickup location might change. Phillip at San Marcos location was professional, efficient, helpful. By the way, the $19.95/day price is misleading because the mileage charges are a significant addition to the final cost. Still worth it to us but might not be to others. Besides the cost of mileage, it was a great experience.
Juliana HI have been charged $50 cleaning fee. I do not understand. Can you please explain. I have not rented from this location in years so I can only assume they are trying to gouge for extra dollars. I swept the bed of the van before returning. As a regular user of U-Haul I have never been treated like this so I'm assuming it is the location. PLEASE REMOVE THIS FEE.

How about an incredibly courteous, professional, well-informed and witty staff that doesn’t miss a thing? Yup, kudos to Danny, Ray and Phil! These guys rock. The trucks were extremely well-maintained, clean and reliable. The office was spotless, and displays well-organized. The grounds were likewise tidy and welcoming. Honestly, I didn’t think simply getting a truck could be such a positive experience. But it was. Blue Ribbon, Boys! Thank you! 🙏🏻🏆🥇🚚

Adnan OWhen I arrived at the pick-up location on State Street, I learned that the truck I had rented had not been returned and that they couldn't let me take the other one because it had been taken to Burning Man and was a mess. The employee went out of his way to ensure that I left with a vehicle, and though it wasn't the one I wanted, it ended up being a better choice for the garden work day. Wish I knew his name, but he is to be commended for his customer service.
