The lot was too full - it was after hours, so no personnel were available
LESLIE DI made a reservation on May 8 which was confirmed. I drove 4 1/2 hours to get trailer to move furniture from Greenville to Pawleys Island and was on a tight schedule. I went at 8 o’clock to pick up trailer as scheduled. There was no trailer. What is the point of taking reservations and not having promised equipment available. Fortunately they were able to get trailer from elsewhere which I appreciated but it totally screwed my entire day up. They also moved where I was supposed to return trailer which was way further and a major inconvenience. This should NEVER have happened and I was greatly inconvenienced. I feel that they should have given me a minimum of a 25% discount. Will not use u haul or recommend them to anyone. Worst rental experience ever! The Sarks employees were very nice and helpful but shame on U-Haul for not doing their job. This was U Hall fault but the pick up location should ensured they had the reserved trailer.
SUZANNE U- Have the equipment offered on the site. - Have the equipment already on the truck (as detailed) for the customer. - Ensure that you provide the customer with a digital and printed receipt (once the service is completed and equipment returned)

BRIAN G1. The pickup location was changed by UHaul to a farther away location from that of my original reservation confirmation with no notification othar than the substitute locations addressbeing burried in the final rental hyperlink message . There should have been a seperate message sent advising me of the change as it wasnt until when I called to confirm pickup time I realized it was a completely different (farther away) dealer location. 2. Trailer had electrical malfunction in the electrical wiring (activating right signal or brake lights also caused parking lights to flash / light up). 3. The left tailgate pin / latch receptical was completely worn away from vibration leaving only the right side latch to hold the tailgate shut. All of these issues were not the dealers fault but rather UHaul's reservation system & it's equipment maintenance program.

HENRY STruck was very dirty inside cab. Appliance dolly I had reserved when reserving the truck was unavailable. This 10 ft. truck did not have a ramp, which was not mentioned anywhere on the website or by the people I delt with when picking up the truck, so I wouldn't have been able to use the dolly IF one had been there.

HAROLD RThe woman working the counter was very kind and friendly. However the location doesn't have any moving supplies. They do have some mats, but no tape, or boxes, or dollies. I specifically requested a moving dolly, and originally a different pick up location. The morning of my rental, they changed me to this location due to equipment availability. The truck was there, but had a major safety issue (more on that in a moment), but they didn't have any dollies. Not sure if uhaul confirms all equipment availability when they change locations, or if not considered, but not getting a dolly with the truck was a major inconvenience. The major safety issue with the truck was the passenger side view mirror. It was being held by zip ties, and wouldn't stay in a fixed position. If I had a passenger maybe it wouldn't have been as bad, but I was alone. I couldn't see the right side of the truck, couldn't see if someone was in the lane to my right, had no idea if I could merge over safely or if I was about to hit someone. This is a major safety issue and could have caused an accident. Thankfully I didn't have to drive much or fat, but it was very uncomfortable, as was trying to back up or turn around. No visibility on the right side. The truck itself was clean and worked fine mechanically, and the woman at the counter was nice. Other than that, I must say it was a very unsatisfactory rental experience. However, I think more responsibility goes to uhaul and not just this location.

DANIAL GY'all are horrible for changing the drop off point with barely any notice and then changing again after I drove 30 min out to drop off the truck. Never using U-Haul again
NIKO PThe cab was covered in some sort of spilt, sugary drink. The back storage unit had pollen all over the floor from the roll-up door being left open from the last renter, making the floor very slick (it wasn't clean when we picked it up). The pickup and drop off processes were a pain in the butt, i don't work for uHaul but they had me doing their job for them. Horrible experience.

EDWARD SUpon entering the shop Justin was assisting a customer on the phone, he let me know he would be right with me. Great multitasking!! Regina entered the office, hung her jacket and immediately offered her assistance. She took great care of me and addressed all my needs. While explaining the uhaul policy, she assured I understood all my charges and the great benefit of receiving any funds due back to me after the return of the rental. She was very knowledgeable and very professional. Top Tier Customer Service 👍

ASHLEY EThe U-Haul lady that I worked with I’m picking up my truck was very considerate very kind and very understanding of my needs. She did a great job. I returned it on time put my fuel in it and everything was came out. Perfect I would recommend you haul to anybody anytime. I’ve used you many times in the past. Have a great day.
ROBERT Dmy U-Haul broke down and I was pretty much just told that someone rented it before me like do we not check our U-Haul‘s when we get them back to make sure they’re good to go to other people I got my U-Haul from the place. Got it to my house to haul up my things and it broke down. I called the place that I rented it from and they pretty much just told me to call like 1 million other places they were not helpful at all

CLAYTON CGood service but once in vehicle it was not clean. Windows were dirty so we cleaned once we arrived home and wiped inside a little. Tore alert was on but guy stated sensor issue and assured us no problem. We were unable to see mileage. My husband drove actual trip because I was uncomfortable in truck

OUIDA BWe reserved a 15 foot U-Haul, but Sarks Automotive gave us a 20 foot which was more money in mileage, gas and rental (approximately a $65 difference). What's the point of making a reservation if it's no guarantee you'll get what you reserved? Very unprofessional and dishonest in my opinion. Justin, who works at the front desk at Sarks Automotive in Mauldin, South Carolina, blamed the Uhaul company for switching our reservation from a 15ft to a 20ft, and said that he has no control over them changing customers reservations or canceling customers reservations since their 3rd party. The courteous and professional thing for Justin and/or Uhaul to do was to call me with that updated information... But to my surprise my reservation was switched without me being informed. Needless to say, I will never rent from the again! PLEASE don't reserve a Uhaul from Sark's Automotive!!! They will tell you they have you reserved, but there's NO guarantee you'll get the same Uhaul you have reservations for... ASK ALL NECESSARY QUESTIONS UPFRONT OR GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

DIEGO DTruck ran fine. Inside cab was not clean. Precious driver must have spilled an energy drink because the cab, console and steering wheels were all sticky. Other than that it wa a good experience.
