The people at the office were very nice. The vehicle however was in very bad disrepair. I had a check engine light an airbag light and some sort of tow warning light. Vehicle would not go into overdrive.

Someone was hauling something in the back of his truck and smelled horrible I washed it out with soap and water and scrubbed it and it still was not remove the smell

We were not able to check out our truck via the app, had to go in where staff was not wearing masks and room smelled of smoke heavily. Truck was not cleaned prior to our use- debris left by previous renter. Had to wait for them to move truck out to front for pickup since there is no real parking lot to maneuver trucks

The only thing you could do to improve for the next customer is ensure the trucks are inspected mechanically regularly. The truck I used needs to be aligned very badly.

They gave me used straps on the car dolly and when I returned to a real Uhaul they charged me 38 for the same straps I had for less than 24 hours.

Back of truck was dirty. Personnel did not do walk around and record any damage prior to rental. Did not have moving blankets to rent. Personnel did not wear mask.

Although maintained, this was the oldest trailer I have ever rented from UHaul. Very dated and very well used and banged up. Biggest issue was the holes in the internal wood rails were very small and unable to slip a ratchet strap around them like I can do with some of the newer equipment. Very difficult to secure the internal load with only the four floor mounted D rings in the corners

Make sure the truck has no smoking odors. The truck smelled of cigarettes. I had to keep the windows down.

The auto hauler had a flat tire and we didn't know it until I had the truck on it and was gonna drive away. That meant I had to leave my truck at the center and make arrangements to pick my truck up after my move. That involved 4 hours drive and 4 hours return and having a friend drive me in my there.

U Haul reservation system could have work better communicating change of location for pick up to me.. I did not receive notice of location change. I had to contact original location twice to know new location.

Reserved 26' truck, appliance hand truck,regular hand truck. They said they had they did not have the hand trucks but then found them , they had 6 ,26' trucks reserved but only had 4 to rent. Luckily I got there at 8 am and got what I needed. U should not reserve equipment you don't have!!!

Always great customer service. They had a trailer ready to go even though I was doing this last minute, and from the time I walked in the door until I had a trailer attached and was out, it took about 15 minutes total. Very happy!

I ordered to 2 dollies one of which was appliance dollies. Uhaul reservations sent me to Saks Automotive in MauldinSc. This location does not have dollies and they said Uhaul knows it. We were not informed of this until we arrived at the site. The employees treated us as if it were our fault, terrible attitudes. Very uncomfortable and irritating. I called the Uhaul 800# to find a location that had dollies. I was send to Reedy River Storage, which is not the name, of the place. We were sent to a 24 HR. storage facility which had no employees to assist in sight. I found one myself. The company that was hired through Uhaul to load and Unload our furniture etc., Always Above Average Movers are so FAR BELOW AVERAGE they should not even be in business. Two young men, one of whom looked and behaved like a minor. They showed up two hrs. late due to transportation issues and took too many breaks, used our facilities (this was disgusting. My 80 yr old mother could see they were milking the clock. We had a 26ft truck and by 1:45 only 1/4 of the truck was filled. This company didn't send men to move us, but 2 boys that seemed to be deliberately taking their time to milk the clock to get us to pay them more money. I had other family members who witnessed this and they started moving the furniture. 2 women, and 3 men with disabilities did a much better job. The boys took a break drove up to the new house which was a 10 min drive away. They had already expired our 3 hrs and were asking for more money. They said it would take 1 hr to finish moving our furniture and charged me $100 extra for 2 hrs. I agreed then thought about because it was not right. I texted them then called their boss who made up some ridiculous story. I have the texts and my daughter was in the car when I was talking to him. He said they needed to leave because they had other jobs booked for the day, it was now 4pm, claimed he, gave us, 1 additional hr. they had to drive 4 hrs to get back to location and would be moving until midnight. He asked me to have the oldest of the, two call him and said they would work something out with us. I got a call from my family and was told that they said I was not going to pay them so they left. I have hired uhaul in 2011 to move us in to the house we just moved from and they did, an excellent job and finished it within the time we paid 2-3 hrs. I know there was no excuse for this issue. My family finished the move. They left my family in the middle of the move. Lied to my family and said I was not going to pay for the move. It was 8pm when we finished. I and sending this info to the BBB. I want a full refund. My family was taken advantage of on every end my Uhaul and its associated workers. I will never come back to Uhaul nor recommend it again. My time was wasted.

You need to improve your Maintenance and your Customer Service. When I recently rented a 20 ft box truck one-way (South Carolina to Florida) there were a number of problems with the truck, most of which showed up after I was well into the trip. 1. The windshield wipers were shredded. It started raining shortly after I left and I had to return to the dealer to get them replaced. 2. Every time I hit a bump in the road the driver door popped open. This was discovered after I left the area. 3. The roof of the truck leaked and damaged some of the furniture. This was discovered at the destination. 4. The steering was so loose (more than 1/4 turn of play) that my shoulders and arms are still sore a week after driving the truck. This was discovered when I got on the interstate highway an hour or so into the trip. When I dropped off the truck in Florida I showed these problems to the dealer there and they promised that I would not be charged for the rental, and that the Regional Field manager back in South Carolina would contact me within a couple of days. That did not happen. In fact I called and left voice messages for that Regional Field Manager numerous times and still have not received a response. That is not good customer service.

I finished with my rental early. Would have been good to know the proper procedure for returning it early since they close at 1pm on Saturday and are closed on Sunday.

Couldn't find confirmation for truck , it was actually at Yogis another location that told us they didn't have it and to go to Sarks auto. Had to wait over half hour for someone to find a appliance dolly which was part of reservation . Had to use our own vehicle to run back and get dolly. Wasted hours we could have been moving like we planned. Sarks was accommodating bout was time consuming for them and us. Were given discount . Next time we will be using different company . We should really have a credit back on this rental. As well if we had bed experience and tell 100!friends it's not good for uhaul . Regards. Allen Cyr

They did not have the number of pads that I reserved and they made no effort to locate any at other Uhaul locations. I couldn't find any pads at 2 other location. I reserved the pads and they were not available. I was very disappointed.

Well, to start...maybe ensure that the truck is actually there for me prior to my arriving to pick it up. The truck I was supposed to get had been rented for a one day local rental and had not been returned...along with the dolly I was supposed to receive. The location handled the situation VERY well...but there shouldn't have been a situation in the first place.

Make sure the rental equipment is ready for rental, not broken, and in decent condition. Make aure the trailers are attached to the renters vehicles properly so they dont come off during transit, damaging pissibly the trailer and the renters vehicle.

I was told that since I have rented from them before, I could get the rental for a flat right for a set number of miles, and any mileage over they would save those fees, the paperwork said the truck had 1/4 tank of gas, but when I got in the truck, the tank was almost empty. I had to stop at the first gas station I saw to get gas before I could even start my move. After I dropped the truck of with the same gas I picked it up with, I was hit with a $42 bill for over miles and the gas issue.

Service was terrible. I set a location for pickup and it was confirmed via email. When I showed up they did not have any and sent me 15 miles to their other location. I asked and they said I could return to my set location. When I tried to return they said no or there would be extra charge. The Service person was rude and just blamed issue on the system. Upon picking up the unit the smell inside was bad. Wet dog smell and the floor was dirty. The one tail light was broken. I have photos. The first time I open the door it got stuck in the roof and it took me a while to fix it. I tried to call but was put on hold for 45 minutes. UHaul wasted 1.5 hours of my already busy moving day.

Sarks called me to ask me what type of equipment I rented two days later. While the people were very nice, it was obvious the information was not taken that should have been taken initially. Also, the trailer was in horrible condition...vines growing all over it and very rusted. I had to cut the vines off of it to get it loaded.

Sarks was great. Half of our order (truck) was supposed to be returned to a different location, Country Tire in Mauldin. After arriving there (difficult to get into and out of) we were told to find some where else to return it. Backing out (only way to get out) onto the road was very difficult due to traffic. Sarks was great about accepting both our truck and trailer. They went above and beyond!

While the location was beyond excellent, they were put in a terrible situation by whoever was changing locations last minute on customers. I wasn't even in the system and while I was there other customers came in who were told incorrect information. The staff in this location worked hard to serve everyone while being short on inventory. I commend the store staff so much considering I didn't even sign up for that location and got a text last minute to go their location. I think you should survey for the entire customer experience.

I returned the truck with the exact amount of gas and got charged for 5.3 gallons of gas extra (I have pictures of the dashboard to prove the truth). calling U-Haul now.

Only negative was you cannot find the location due to lack of U-Haul signage and parking is all taken up with auto repair customers. People were lovely, but access horrible.
