The cargo van was extremely damaged. The right side door had trouble closing was unable to open, then swung open during transport. Was overcharged for insurance that I opted out of on the online reservation.

CHRISTY DMake sure the trailer is tightened so it doesn’t pop off when leaving. We had to turn around and get the trailer tightened more onto our ball. Dangerous situation.

RONALD TStaff seemed confused and had reservations mixed up. It took a long time to get the rental. Then when I returned the equipment 30 minutes prior to my time slot, the staff blamed me for being late as they has another customer waiting. The other customer said he had been waiting since 10am, while my return was at noon. The staff did not seem to understand that somehow the equipment was double booked and kept telling me I was late. Pretty bad customer service.
Kim BThe Auto Transport I picked up from the Salem location had not been properly inspected, resulting in two flat tires on the NY State Thruway at night and a trailer brake light not working. The entire process to resolve the issue took 4 hours. I am extremely disappointed and upset with the experience and regret choosing U-Haul as my moving company.
Jonathan WI dropped my truck off on a Monday evening after hours. Unfortunately, something went a little funky with the 24/7 check-in and the store did not know the truck was there until Wednesday morning when I called.

Michael ADon't tell the customer that is currently renting the uhaul that it has to be returned because someone else wants to rent it when there wasn't anyone waiting to rent it. I'm talking about the van and I suggest having more than one at this location to rent. I had to return it when I wasn't done using it and nobody else rented it.

Ali GBeware of this location!!! They would not provide me with a receipt showing the truck was returned when I dropped it off. Fortunately I had the foresight to take pictures of the truck including mileage when I returned it. I am now in the process of trying to get my money back as this location falsified the documents stating that I returned the truck late and charged for a second day. This was very deliberate as they entered a very specific drop off time (5:14pm.) In actuality I dropped my truck off at 3:50pm and have the picture time stamp to prove it. By the way, in my contract I did not have to have the truck back until 5:45pm. I have attempted to reach this location on numerous occasions and they also do not answer the phone. Beware of this location!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!
Heather HAt the last minute, U-Haul app would not let me return the equipment at the location I contracted with. They were trying to get me to take it to another location that apparently needed the equipment more. I did not appreciate, after a long day of moving and driving, being flimflammed because they want their equipment shuttled to another location for their benefit. I had to call and get into a contentious discussion with a phone representative, who threatened me with a fee for dropping it off at the “wrong” location, despite the written contract showing where I was to drop it off. I had to explain that I don’t work for U-Haul and I don’t shuttle their equipment around for free. The customer service rep acted like they were doing me a favor, by finally relenting and agreeing to the written contract terms. Very dissatisfying customer experience.

Charles RI was very impressed with the service especially with the help with the auto transport and knowledge that this place had for making sure everything was secure. Without his expertise and willingness to explain everything in detail I would have been lost when we got stuck and needed to take the car off the trailer. Since the help I received in the beginning of our journey was very thorough I knew how to take the car off again and put it back on.

I ordered equipment over a week in advance and it wasn’t there when I arrived and I was never notified they didn’t have the proper equipment. I had to take time and mileage to drive to a different location. Very inconvenient

ALLEYIA VThe person renting did not ask if I wanted the extra insurance, he just added it on. He never said that what I was signing for, just that I was to sign here. The truck had 126,000 miles on it and was all over the road. There was something wrong with the steering and the front suspension.

The steering wheel was totally loose and the vehicle did not respond/did not turn when the wheel was turned. It absolutely did not handle curves and I could not maintain control. I felt like my life was in danger driving that vehicle. I should get s full refund for being given such a faulty vehicle. I’ve rented many times before with no issues. But this vehicle should not have been on the road!!

I requested the advertised $50 refund but have not received any correspondence. I was warned by a friend to avoid using a non U-Haul store for a rental, and now I understand why.
