Make sure the equipment is safe to rent. Had a flat tire on one rim and the other rims tire was so cupped it vibrated the trailer the whole way home. Horrible renting experience would never trust a U-Haul trailer again. Would never recommend this to any one trying to get a car home safely.
Mason HGuy behind desk needs a better attitude. I've rented loads and loads of trucks and trailers from uhaul locations all over this area and this guy is the most cockiest one ever. I'll drive 15 miles to Weaverville or Hendersonville before I deal with him again. The owner im assuming that came out with a jack when I picked up trailer was cool. And mr cocky had a plug for me to loan cause I left mine at hm by accident that was his only positive side of the whole transaction including the phone call. If someone calls and ses there gonna be 90min late either say it's ok or tell them straight up it's another full day charge. Don't be a jerk and say u don't know how much there gonna charge when u dam well know. Oh and he drives a lifted grey truck that sits right out front. It's sad cause there only a couple miles away. I've had other locations that are ok with u being a little late as long as you call and tell them. Just a over all bad experience.

LORIE TGet another person to do customer service. even though he was knowledgeable He was a total crab. He seemed to be annoyed that he had to service me and was condescending to me when I asked questions.
JILL ZThe location of the pickup for the truck changed and I was not informed after I arrived at the Sardis location. This was a huge inconvenience. I had to rearrange my return of my Enterprise rental car, which we used one way to get to Asheville. Very inconvenient for me. I had a closing on a home I had to reschedule.

BENJAMIN TBe open for one. We got to the drop off location and NO ONE was there, again!!!! I called the number for immediate assistance as they were only 2 miles away. We waited over 30 minutes no call back and no one showed up. Again I am standing outside in the heat doing all this. No one was there to help us get a 6x12 extremely heavy trailer off.. By the way I am 74 and my partner is 69, I strained my back trying to help him get the trailer off. I made a phone call to UHaul customer service and explained that no one was there and whet did I need to do to turn in the trailer. I am thankful to Katiffany Readdy who was very patient and understanding of my situation and walked be thru what to do., this was my only pleasant experience with UHaul.
SHARON EMy issue is not so much with Savegreen Self Storage as it is with U-Haul. I had no issues with the truck or the location. The representative was friendly and helpful. However, the problem also arose with the drop-off date. When picking up the second truck on July 24, I encountered additional issues. First, the pickup location changed. It was originally supposed to be Sweeten Creek, which is closer to me, but U-Haul changed the reservation on the day of pickup because I was told that Sweeten Creek had no trucks available. When I arrived at the updated location, the reservation number found by customer service was different (82948620 instead of 82949137). The drop-off location for the truck was also three hours away from my destination, and I was told to call customer service about this. When I did, the person in customer service was very rude. Despite these complications, I returned the truck on July 27 after my movers unloaded it, with more fuel than required. However, I was charged a late fee for returning it on July 27 instead of the confirmed date of July 28, which I confirmed upon pickup. Customer service created a case for me, but I now see an additional $40 charge from the return location. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating, with multiple errors on U-Haul's part and unjust charges. I request that U-Haul waive all additional fees. I paid what I owed upon pickup, did not exceed mileage, returned the truck with more fuel than required, and left the truck in good condition. Please rectify this situation promptly.
Tesia SRude, dismissive customer service, couldn’t even assure me when I asked if the trailer was “good to go” as in safe to drive. 2 hours later the trailer flew off of the back of my car on the highway on a bridge. Incredible that no one got hurt or killed but it was terrifying, my car and the trailer are damaged. I called 911. Then tried to call Uhaul roadside but the only clear number on paper agreement was the store phone number and I spoke to the guy Cary who installed it and told him what happened he didn’t even seem phased or sorry just said he would have to call his area manager. Then could NOT provide me with a gal roadside assistance phone number. He gave me a number to another dept in charlotte, which then to my disbelief that lady told me to google Uhaul roadside phone number. I almost died and no one i spoke to could help me until I finally googled the Uhaul roadside number. Why wasn’t this highlighted or clearly written or mentioned in case of an emergency? Also, the photo I took of the trailer install before I left shows clearly the employee did not tighten the nut to secure the ball onto the trailer ball enough. A very avoidable accident, I am mortified to think the guy who he sent away before me to go buy a trailer pin for his rental could have had the same incorrect install and maybe flipped his car because of it. I do not recommend this location at ALL. Goto a LEGIT Uhaul location not a subcontracted storage place like this, they do not care at all about people’s safety.

Robert AGuy at Savegreen location, unknowledgeable, unprofessional, and overall unhelpful, if it wasn’t my last option I wouldn’t have gone to him. Seemed like any question or response bothered him. Told him one way and went ahead and set me up for a round trip, because of him I spent an hour with customer service trying to fix it.

Dmitri MYOU DIDN'T ASK ME ABOUT THE EQUIPMENT! THE 10' TRUCK WAS PERFECT FOR TRANSPORTING A 600 POUND UPRIGHT PIANO FROM PORT HENRY, NY TO ASHEVILLE, NC. IT WAS THE RIGHT SIZE, FAIRLY REASONABLE WITH GAS MILEAGE (20 MPG) EASY TO DRIVE, WITH EXCELLENT VISIBILITY AND GREAT MIRRORS. AS WITH ANY TRUCK, IT WAS A "HARD RIDE", BUT THE PIANO AND DRIVER BOTH SURVIVED WITHOUT INCIDENT. I HAD BUILT A RAMP TO FACILITATE THE LOADING ON THIS END, AND THE PROFESSIONAL PIANO MOVERS BROUGHT THEIR OWN ON THE OTHER END. ORIGINALLY, I HAD HOPED TO RENT ONE OF YOUR TRANSIT VANS FROM YOUR MIDDLEBURY, VT LOCATION, BUT FOUND THAT THE BACK DOOR OPENING WOULD NOT ACCOMMODATE THE 48" HEIGHT OF THE PIANO. THE DOOR LATCHES WERE IN THE WAY. THE OPERATOR OF THE MIDDLEBURY FACILITY WAS AN EXCELLENT MAN TO WORK WITH. HE IS DOING A GOOD JOB FOR U-HAUL. THANKS FOR ASKING.

Jenifer KThere was a man named David I believe that was nice when I arrived. The man that helped me wasn't pleasant at all ~ seemed to still be in training. Our vehicle was listed wrong on the contract and the turn in procedure wasn't gone over at all. We were very confused when we came back to drop off. Despite renting the trailer well after 1pm, the turn in time wasn't a full 24 hrs later, it showed as 1pm which we showed up prior to today. When I initially showed up after reserving online, there was some confusion it seemed whether a trailer our size was even there. Beautiful facility, however there needs to be better security (fencing/gate) for the open trailer lot ~ on our trailer, all someone would have to do is hook to a truck or fourwheeler and take off. Facility needs a better organized office and less confusion.

The place I originally rented with did not have the truck I needed so I was sent to another place that was a lot farther away, and I did not have the budget for the extra miles. Thanks.

Melissa SI say no because the place was hard to find. It was at night and after hours, so I can not rate on personnel and cleanliness. It wasn't clear that was the place to drop the vehicle off at night because of the darkness. So that was my concern with returning the truck. A lit sign would of helped tremendously. Other than that the drop off location was sufficient.

Alfonso Moriginal location was closed due the weekend but we had no indication of this until we arrived for pickup. this is not the first time we have had a uhaul problem, and if we had any other option we would choose it.

Kevin RCalled a a day before the trailer was due back in an attempt to extend it two more days. The uhaul representative told me, “not to worry about it, just bring it in and it won’t be any extra”. I show up and there is no uhaul representative and I got charged an extra $60 for the two days. Not happy with the bait and switch for extra fees.

Brian KI was extremely unhappy with uhaul for changing my reservation at the last minute to a location 30 minutes from my original reservation. This meant that I lost two hours out of my planned moving day, and added 40 miles for the two round trips to my rental.

ROBERT VUhaul was gross and sticky inside. Old chicken nuggets under the seat and soda on windshield. Uhaul sent me about 20 minutes out of the way sending me to this location. The guy who was working there told me I would be dropping the Uhaul off in Marion VA and then the paper he printed out for me said drop off was in Chilhowie. Told me my mileage was one thing and then the paper said something different.
