The personnel were very friend and helpful, but the overall business/office experience had a lot to be desired. Separate from Schmid & Sons, the U-haul trailer was an embarrassment to the brand. It was 'old', rusting, and banged up. The most frustrating part for me was that I rented in it to transport two Harley Davidson motorcycles weighing 900+ lbs. each. The tie downs on the floor of the trailer were a joke. The rings were very small and fragile and there was no way they would hold a motorcycle without pulling them out of the floor. I had had to do my best with tying the bikes to the wood side rails (not ideal). Thankfully I had chokes to stabilize the bikes! In summary, this trailer needs to be retired, not only because of it physical limitations, but also that the imitation this trailer gives of U-haul is not the one you want.

Allow this location to have more trailers
DALE RGoogle Maps brings you in to the back side of their business where you can't see any U-Haul vehicles or markings. They were closed, so we called U-Haul and it wasn't until we drove around the property for a while that we found that the side along the highway had all of the U-Haul stuff. There was a person there mowing with a Schmid & Sons shirt and at first he didn't seem to want to get off his mower and answer our questions, but once we approached him, he was very helpful.
