VINCENT Jthere is no recourse if you pickup before the office is staffed and they have charged you for items you didn't order. the chat function was unresponsive. And the gas replacement process is difficult. guesstimating how much gas to put back into the tank. they provide you with a 'guide' which I did not find helpful. I put too much back into the tank. cost me more than it should have.
carolyn bI have used this company several times for U-Haul rentals over the years. I am in and out of the office in 10 minutes, key in hand and ready to take the vehicle. They are fast and efficient and so friendly.

SAMANTHA AFirst, I’d like to start with I thought I was renting a truck from the location closest to my home. When I went to to confirm, they said I had to go to another location. What was about a half hour from my home then I had to go to a different location with another half hour from the previous location to pick up the car hauler. This put me at least an hour and a half behind my schedule to load the truck to move. This has nothing to do with the location where I got it from, but trying to return the equipment once I was in North Carolina was a nightmare. The first location would not accept the truck but took the car carrier. So I had to drive another half hour to 45 minutes to find another place to drop the 26 foot truck off to. I had to call a number they had to tell me where to go to bring these things back total. U-Haul has a lot of problems with her coordination and their dealers or subcontractors getting equipment and and just setting it up correctly. I as a customer would expect them to bring the truck and a cart hauler down to the location nearest me where I originally started the rental process . The only positive was the price they were very competitive but as far as the experience with picking up and returning these this equipment total fail. So if you like a cheap price they have it but if you like coordination and convenience, they don’t have that.
THOMAS DEquipment needs to be inspected better. Tire was worn. Should have never been in circulation. Is the reason for blowout and damages to trailer and my car. Now uhaul has to pay for damages, because of simply not changing a tire.
Richard SThe owner lists it as open 24/7, but that is not the case. The gate was locked when we arrived to return the vehicle. The next day, the owner treated us rudely when we returned.

JEAN MUhaul should move the location barcode to the perimeter fence....or have the property manager fix the person gate. Cell service is not good at this location and it was difficult to pick up the truck ...ended up calling the phone number for help and someone opened the vehicle gate remotely.

Thomas MTruck was clean and new and the help we got from staff was fantastic, way more helpful than the app that is hot garbage. While reserving a truck online through the U-Haul app it seemed everything was going to be fine and easy. Up until the day of picking up the truck and it changed the pickup location to states away from where I lived. Thankfully the Scotia location was close, helpful and by far easier than the online and app experience. The truck was great other than the issue of filling it with gas that took no joke, an hour as there was a filling flaw.
Jill CThis has no bearing on the location, but the website could have made it more clear that the 10-ft box did not come with a ramp. Or a third seat. Also the air conditioning doesn't work in that particular truck that I had.

Walter RLOVE this location. Will even rent a larger than needed truck just to use this location. On that note, maybe this site could have some 11 footers available? Anyhow, another great experience with Scotia Lock Up and U-Haul.

Sophal SRenting the cargo van from U-Haul was affordable, easy, and quick. I reserved the van online and was able to pick it up the next day with noo problem, and it served its purpose well. The U-Haul office was friendly and accommodating, and I will definitely rent from them again

Craig PThe truck was brand new had 800 miles on it when I got it. It was build in Dec 23. Only issue was windshield washer fluid froze. I topped off with -30f winter fluid before trip but must have had cheap summer stuff in lines and froze for 2/3rds of the trip. I had to pull over and pour fluid on to clean windshield. When paying 1900 to rent a truck I would hope one would pay the extra $3 to use winter washer fluid. Even if the summer stuff needs to be run dry first. That’s what I should have done but did not. Not sure if the attendant at the pickup location should be blamed for that but it would have been great if swapping out the fluid was mentioned to me. Other than the fluid the truck was in excellent condition.

William WThe van had a few deficiencies which could have been dangerous. Also, the method for opening the rear doors is so arcane that we were unable to use them at all. Overall, though, the experience was quite pleasant.

Kevin AMade reservation, then it was canceled on me by UHaul. Another truck provided, so I said ok. Went to pick up my truck, and had to call only to find out that that reservation was also canceled. So I was offered another truck as I stood in the parking lot. I took it and everything worked out, but it’s just ridiculous. The reservation process is a joke, as this isn’t the first time this has happened to me. I initially reserved a 9’ van as I’d prefer to drive that over a box truck. Ended up with a 15’ box truck. Like I said, it worked out but you just can’t trust UHaul. On the 3rd reservation the lady on the phone wanted to charge me more money than what I had initially agreed to, but eventually decided to leave the rate the same. The particular place I went to I can’t rate because it was closed, but as for UHaul I will not be recommending to anyone and I won’t use it again unless absolutely necessary.

Joslyn DI was charged an extra day, even though the equipment was dropped off the same day. I called a u-haul rep the next day to let them know the exact time I dropped off the vehicle and I was told that it would be noted in my contract. I was still charged after the fact. Luckily I did not have enough funds to provide for this ridiculous charge in the bank, the charge was eventually dropped but not before having to be on the phone for another 30+ mins. Besides this glaring issue that was remedied, the place was clean and dropping off the equipment was very easy.
