The tow dolly had inoperative passenger side lighting and surge brakes. There was excessive vibration between 30 and 48 MPH suspected to be out of balance wheels or bent rims. There were no other tow dollies available in the area and uhaul customer service could not give a definitive answer for road service. I had no choice but to purchase magnetic tow lights and drive allowing extra stopping distance due to the inoperative surge brakes since I was on a strict schedule. The only positive experience with uhaul was with the road service provided in Conway, after the first service provider canceled, where Gary repaired the broken wires on the passenger lighting and replaced both wheels & tires due to a ply separation and excessive camber wear. Gary did not have a new seal to inspect the surge brake. Although Gary did an exceptional job it does not exonerate uhaul from offering equipment for road use with safety and DOT violations. The DOT will be notified and provided physical evidence of uhaul's reckless and negligent practices. The app provided to the store had several operational issues further delaying the rental process. The rental experience with uhual was at high cost and risk which should not be the case if uhaul were a professional company and not reckless & negligent.

this location is an add on to a convenience store with one employee who had to book trailer and wait on customers. I had to hook up trailer with no help and i am 83 years old and have a bad back. The employee was nice, but the facility was not set up to handle your business.
