The windshield was pretty dirty, so just a quick wash and wipe down of that. Otherwise, it was an excellent experience.

My problem is the bill. At the end of the day the bill was over 130 dollars that includes fuel for the truck. I was only gone for 2 and a half hours. This seems excessive for the time I was gone. In the future I will not use the service.
ROLAND HA very good experience. I apologize for forgetting the manager’s name, but he was great. He did have to change trucks for me as he did not initially realize i was doing a one way. It might have cost an extra 5 minutes and was not a big deal. He apologized for the error. I literally did a post on FB about how good my experience was renting this truck

LINDA LThe main issue I had at the pick up location, is that Edgar made a point to say: "BE SURE TO USE DIESEL" I went to fill up the truck, and there are signs EVERYWHERE on the truck gas tank area that say use Unleaded. I was confused since he made a point to say: ONLY USE DIESEL. I decided to follow the stickers and not his advise; otherwise, you would have had a damaged engine. They need to be clear and know what they are renting out. Also, when I called to get clarification on the return, the girl who answered was as rude to me as when my husband called. It was confusing on where to return the truck since the contract says return to the pick up location / but the app said to return to the drop off location below. When I asked her to clarify, she said call the 1800 and I don't know.. very rude!
SCOTT HWe rented a truck, when we got the truck we realized it hadn’t been cleaned prior to us getting it once we had arrived at our destination. We only wanted to rent the truck and did not need a dolly. However, upon getting the truck there was still a U-Haul dolly inside, a plank of wood, and some other trash left in the U-Haul by a previous renter. Clearly, the U-Haul was never inspected prior to our rental. We brought back the U-Haul in the same condition we rented it in and that’s when they charged us a cleaning fee for leaving these items that aren’t ours in the U-Haul. These items were already in the truck before we rented it.
YUNQIAN QI was surprised that upon dropping the rental off that no one came out to verify I filled the gas tank to cover what was used or to check the condition. I was also surprised that I received nothing in writing that the rental was returned in good condition since I have used U-Haul in the past and was provided paperwork at drop off. I was advised paperwork would be emailed to me which was received. Also please note I was advised I could take a picture of the front of drop off location until such email was received not exactly professional. Note drop off location called and stated was handled as U-Haul requires.
ALBERT LHad trouble with finding the keys on the mobile app to pick up the truck. Maybe a sticker on the establishment with directions would help. Also when I returned the truck instead of doing the self return since it was open I handed the keys to the customer service rep. Who said it was all good but I had to call because in the app it showed that I still had the truck out two days later. When I called to find out why it had not been checked in she said it was on her end. It would have been more helpful to have the agent walk out and inspect the truck or check it in and provide a receipt right then and there. Instead of having the customer worry that she handed the key to someone that never gave her proof that she returned the truck back. Thanks.
Esther DMake sure you book well beyond the time you expect to use the truck so you have time to get gas before the next family that’s picking up your truck at 9:30 at night with a closed office. I was charged $25 for less than a quarter of a tank because I couldn’t extend my 8 hour booking for a family supposedly picking up the truck that I dropped keys off in the night drop.
Dione MThe woman working here didn’t know anything about my reservation. She made at least four phone calls to the U-Haul office and what should have been smooth process (in and out) took three times longer than needed. We had a move to get to and it delayed us. Her customer service was lacking as well—she was irritable and dismissive. She didn’t know I had a reservation, couldn’t find it until I showed her on my phone; she reserved the wrong truck (a permanent truck) and had to change it after calling. She couldn’t find the key and had to call again and leave the office to find it. It was a mess.
DAWN SI have not received a copy for my rental agreement. I paid for 75 miles and actually only drove 25 miles. Attendant did not know how much the miles per gallon were. Have not received my refund.
LINDA LUse of the mobile app to pickup the equipment was a horrible experience and wasted a lot of my time. I tried picking up my moving truck before the rental office opened and ended up having to call customer service and wait on hold for 30 minutes. I found out the truck wasn’t even added to my reservation. After the truck was finally added, and several attempts to upload photos and add a personal contact, there was no lock box for the keys. After all that hassle, the rental office opened and gave me my keys.
Johnathan LYou u-haul employee directed me through the phone to another facility to pick up my truck that was scheduled at 7 am. However, they had not told me that the office opened at 10 am so I was not able to pick up my truck till then. When speaking to the employee in that facility they had told me your employees do that frequently. It seems like your company doesn’t address those problems in any way.
JEFFREY MWhere i p/U the truck was excellent servise but U-haul needs to be consistent their estimates. I was first quoted $999.99. When I pick up the truck the final cost $1300.
Rob SAlthough the van was clean, we didnt realize that the turn signals on the BACK of the van did not work until after we left the lot (Front worked) I alerted the office upon our return of the van and they assured me it would be repaired ASAP.
NANCI SI was mis charged for fuel. I drove 8 miles and purchased 1 gallon of gas. I have before and after pictures for the mileage and fuel gauge. I returned with slightly more fuel than I started with and was charged $15 for 2 gallons of fuel. How do I get reimbursed?

Diane SWent to my scheduled pick up 15 minutes early to my 8am pickup, I get a notification while trying to mobile pick up to call a service line because some equipment is not available. At this point I cannot proceed. I wait on the phone for 15minutes, hang up and try again, this time I get notified that there’s a wait of 25-30 minutes. I wait for 25minutes then get disconnected. I wait on hold again, this time the wait is only 5-10 minutes. 30 minutes later Brandon Milligan answers and was very nice and informed me what happened was the keys to my vehicle were left inside. My options at this point are to wait till 11am for the store to be opened or for him to find another location. I decide to wait, but now since I had to move between 11-3pm both me and my friends are now sunburnt. Brandon was sure to honor the $50 refund to my order, he was great but the delay to my move was made so much worse thanks to the delay.
David RIt was 92 degrees and heater was on the entire time. I asked for a discount & they charged for gas, although, I added more then what was originally in the tank, I have pictures. A gas credit was provided for the gas I was not short. The odometer did not display all the digits, have pictures, but at the end showed an odometer reading. When dropping off I had to call because the office closed and the person claimed they were cleaning a unit but did not appear to have been sweating given the temperature and storage units aren’t air conditioned.
Jessica TGreat customer service. I liked the easy drop off. 1 issue is I ordered a dolly but the van didn't have it. I didnt find out until I made it to my old apartment. U-haul ended up charging me for the dolly that I didnt use.
john pDon't double charge, don't cheat on fuel level, provide photo when asked, especially when the manager there says they took photos for the fuel level.

JULIAN LWas treated well with good customer service once inside the store. When I arrived, I was unable to enter the office during office hours; tried to open the glass door and it was locked and saw the UHaul person inside. I was told to wait while the UHaul person spoke with another person in the store. The UHaul person did not get up to come and tell me but just spoke in a loud voice (the door was locked) to wait. I felt he could have come over and spoke to me rather than yell out.. Once inside I was treated professionally.

Christopher TYou need more vans there is only one in a Whittier location there are none in La Habra nor brea locations. The 10 ft is a big and bulky truck to drive around in and I’m a short person and hopping on was hard on my knees it would be more helpful
George RNo fault of the location or person helping me, there were no moving blankets on site and I had to travel, no too far, to a main UHaul location down the same road. This ate up 4 miles and time as I was not back before the movers arrived. Would I recommend this location again, sure, nice clean truck and I was handled quickly and out the door. In support of the persons helping me at both location for pickup, they were used to this scenario, which at the end of the month when things are impacted can and usually happen. UHaul is GREAT!

LISA SEverything was good except the charge for gas. I drove about 10 miles and put in about a gallon of gas. I was charged 18 for 3 gallons. This is ridiculous.

They also are trying to claim that we didn’t fill the tank back up and now there are more miles on it then we actually drove. No one got in contact with us about the uhaul possibly being late.we are very disappointed with this and also can not afford this mistake on their end and want to be reimbursed
