The worst the transaction I’ve ever had to do! First of all I ordered the truck on line. 10” truck. Only rented it for 4 hours. But then only needed it for two hours. Picked it up at 5 pm. They close at 6 mind you. The lady who helped me (Christina) she was very all over the place. Seemed she was very uneducated on her job. She seemed very lost. She told me the total would be $30 something. And if I bring the truck back after hours it’s a $20 fee. Also, people like to syphon the gas she informed me. I said well how much gas is in it. She said about half tank. No problem if they syphon it. So I told her put renter insurance on it. Just incase of anything. The after told me well that don’t cover the gas. So I said well I will pay the $20 because I can’t leave my car here. Also there is no way to have the truck parked in their gated area. Where u have to park it it’s open to public. So you’re just chancing it. She said it’s better to just bring it back when we are open. So inconvenient for people moving. Also I said online I added the moving blankets. She said she would put them in the truck. Nope! Didn’t!!! She told me it would be $30 something Then when she came to ring me up it was $60 something. OK that’s fine I just need to go. Then when she was having me sign the paper work and getting me the keys she said oh it has a FULL tank. She just didn’t even know what she was doing. So unaware of her job. Even the conversation was so hard. She just seemed to be in an another world. Couldn’t get a correct answer on anything. I can’t write the whole convo verbatim. It was very frustrating. I get the keys she points over to there trucks and said yea it’s somewhere parked over there. So I had to walk and find which one it was. No biggie but just so unprofessional. As I’m driving out I get an email showing the charge. It was a $100. I was so frustrated. So look on the printed out paper she gave me. It shows the charges and she didn’t go over everything correctly. So I don’t even know if I was charged right. I bring the truck back after 3 hours. Park it. Lock the keys in the truck. Take pictures of it. Then the next morning I get a voicemail saying the had to have a lock smith come and get the keys out because they don’t have a spare. And I will be charged or if I have AAA to pay for. I get a phone call right after I see asking when I’m bringing the truck back. I said I already did. She asked where I dropped it off. Told her which location. She said okay I’m going to finish this transaction looks like they didn’t complete it. Then she called me back to ask where I had put the keys. Told her in the door. She said okay thank you I will let them know. I said I’m not being charged for anything else correct she said no that should be it. That was a different location calling that also works with UHual. So I call the location I got the truck from. Asked why would I be charged for the lock out. What else was I supposed to do with the keys. She said yea that what I told you about the drop box for the key. No, absolutely not u didn’t go over that. Or I would of put them in there. Then she said well we really don’t deal with after hours. Not my problem. Also, they went ahead and had the lock smith come. They didn’t give me a chance to use my insurance to get the keys out. I will not be paying for that. So now I will be dealing with corporate. Maybe have your employee go over everything when renting out a truck. Moving is already stressful. This was just so messy. Do not rent from the location in Nevada on 506 El Rancho sparks NV 89431. Oh also the truck drove like shit!!!!!!!

ANTHONY LThe drop off location paperwork of coulterville was nowhere near where it was supposed to be (insonora) so it was a hassle, correcting the issue called multiple times and numbers although it was almost 9 your recordings said it was before 7 and wasn’t open dropping it off to our local store was a breeze Sonora uhaul is the best!

GINGER KMaybe not related to the location, but they could not process my rental for almost 2 hours while they said the system was down. One employee told me to come back another time, even though I reserved the order weeks prior, while a second employee used a backup system to process my rental.

Joshua DI think that we should be able to take pictures with our own cameras on our phones instead of having to use the format on the “return equipment” section in app. You can’t zoom you can’t make the picture clear or focus and I know that my camera is so much better than what the pictures were showing.

JASON GDisliked that the Uhaul system is not all connected and that after making a reservation, i had to wait more than 30 minutes to receive a text about where to pick up a truck. This information should be readily available to all attendants.
Maui hI was charged $200 for boxes that I never ordered. Fortunately those were refunded. Then after picking up the Uhaul someone called and asked which Uhaul I got. They seemed VERY confused and said something about how they would have to reassign the uhaul to my name and that I “got the wrong one”. They didn’t answer any of my questions about why they were calling or if I needed to do something. I don’t know why they needed to call me to confirm which vehicle I was driving but it was pretty indicative of poor organization. My “contract form” that was printed out in Reno didn’t have a drop off location and the person at the front desk seemed confused as to why. I had already spent so much time there and knew from an email that my drop off location was in Roseville, CA. Then I got a text message later in the day saying that my drop off was in Reno (which makes no sense because I was driving from Reno to Roseville). When I arrived in Roseville they said I owed $50 for dropping off in the wrong location. They also said I owed $5 for going 5 miles over. Yet I drove the exact route from Reno to Roseville with only a 2 mile detour to get to my new apartment?! Fortunately the gentleman in Roseville realized how little sense that made and didn’t charge me. He was the only mildly professional employee that I spoke too out of the 4 that I dealt with over the week. I don’t blame any of the employees for the issues that I had but it was obvious that they were either poorly trained or were trying to go off of wrong information from your system. Again, terrible organization. The whole selling point of your service is convenience and that is not what I experienced. Next time I need to move I’ll find another option.
Frederick SBe sure that trucks are fully inspected before renting them. Mines was not cleaned inside and I did not open the gate to discover it until I started my move. Leftover used, unfolded blankets in the back and unswept. The agent also encouraged me to return after hours when I could have used for 24 hrs (with early return)at no extra charge during normal business hours.
Oliver NWorst customer service ever. They lost the keys to one truck and ran all over trying to find it, then ended up giving me a different truck after about 45 minutes of looking for the first trucks keys. The second truck didn't start at all after I did the inspection. Then they gave me a one way truck even though I was moving in town. Meanwhile the rude front desk lady had attitude and didn't seem to friendly. The other lady had her kids all running around while she was still in pj's chasing them. The third truck was working but definitely had some problems and maybe a bit of poop on the floor in the cab along with crushed crackers in the corners and animal hair in the seats. I was here for about 2 hours start to finish. This location needs to be under new management cause what I had to deal with was absolutely the worst customer service.

Peter JIf you had another way to get in to your location that would be great. It's other drivers being rude and blocking the entrance when there is a red light . But other then that exalent staff and customer service. Amanda helped with my storage unit and my U-Haul rental she is amazing at her job. Great personality and made sure everything went as smooth as possible.

Scott KThe staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional and I give them five stars. And while the truck was clean it was not thoroughly inspected because if it were, the missing cap on the top of the tank (not the fill cap) would have been noted. It wasn’t. After topping off the gas I drove 130 miles to El Dorado Hills and that’s when I noticed a very large amount of gas has spilled underneath the gas tank. This not only was a waste of gas due to spillage all the way home (used half a tank and the truck was empty) it was a HUGE safety issue. A random spark could have set the truck on fire and potentially endanger my life or others had it caused an accident. Fortunately, that did not happen.

James WI returned the equipment on Friday 12/30/22 at 18:30, I get an email and a voicemail telling me I didn’t return it, when it’s obvious I did return it on top of that, I was told I had until 21:30 to return it nothing was said about charging 2o dollars extra for return the equipment after hours, I’ll never use uhaul again.

Leah FFrom beginning to end this was the most frustrating and inconvenient transaction for a truck rental I have ever experienced. I will not use or recommend anyone else to use uhaul in the future. I feel bad for the employees also, they are dealing with all the issues that the website creates. The whole process was very frustrating. Communication is lacking heavily.
Valerie TThe clock started running on my contract as soon as it got filled out - NOT when the equipment left the site, due to a malfunctioning Uhaul lights connector. It was repaired -by Uhaul- six hours later. This ran my contract into penalty time. Nonsense!
ROBERT EIrma and Nancy both went above and beyond to insure we had the equipment needed for our long move from Sparks, Nv to Calera, Oklahoma. She was always available to speak to us if we needed something. I would definitely recommend this Uhaul facility to everyone!

Steven MClean the truck. Be honest about the gasoline. I drove 10.5 miles, put in 1 1/2 gallons of gasoline before returning the truck. I did not have a check-in. I left the keys at the office. Next day, after calling and inquiring about a final receipt, it was emailed to me. I was charged $17.50 for gasoline. I DROVE 10 1/2 MILES. I consider this dishonest!

Doug RIt is a storage unit first and a u-haul location second. So there are better locations in the city
