The lady at the counter was very helpful, as I has a problem with my original renal through the website. When I told her they were making me go 70 miles to pick up my original one way rental, she made sure that I could rent only 2 miles from my home, but I had to bring back the truck (not a problem). I was hugely disappointed with u-haul, but she saved the reputation of the company.

This is a postal annex and the guy could t figure out how to run his computer. I specifically selected my drop off location and yet again my contract had the wrong location on it. Never fear though, as it was only 25 minutes on the phone (the rep was really nice) to get my original contracted location reinstated. In all the times I was given a uhaul trailer this is the first and only I've been sent out to attach it myself. Now I'm fully competent to do so as I tow a lot...but maybe not the next guy.

This location is very difficult to find. There should be a note on the website that this location is also a postal annex. The sign for U-Haul is very small and is hard to spot. It should be on the main sign to the business. I tried calling the number but I was placed on hold for a long time. Also, I originally booked a truck in Livermore, but then I was told days later that it was switched to Danville. This added about 40 miles round trip. My pricing should have been reduced for this change as I did not request it.

Guy showed up 30 minutes after opening time. I was standing around waiting because he doesn't think it's important for customers to get a truck for when it's reserved.

The location isn't bad, but the instructions for key drop off were not available, on the app or otherwise. Turns out that the key drop off and parking is NOT at the main parking g lot, but behind the building. That could have saved me 30 minutes. Also, the app did not work well for the return. Submitting the photos was frustrating, as I had network service and the u-haul app was fine, as well as connecting to any other app or site, but submitting the photos would result in errors, but eventually worked. Called support to make sure that the location accepted off-hour drop off. The woman I spoke to was very helpful! I did have to wait 20 minutes, though. Overall, what could have been a 10 minute drop off too more than an hour. That needs a bit of work to make the experience painless. Thanks

Difficult to check in and get keys. Air conditioning doesn't work. Check engine light on. Seats uncomfortable. A lot of money for a truck with 160,000 miles on it.

The manager at this location called me as soon as I picked up the truck on the app. He was incredibly kind and helpful. He walked me through unlocking the lockbox and stayed on the phone until I was set up and ready to go. Thanks so much!!

This was by far the most unorganized and disrespectful experience in my recent memory. We were told there was no U-Hauls within 100 miles of our location despite reserving one MONTHS prior. When discussing this with the Customer Service Representative, she was extremely rude and dismissive. After finally getting a U-Haul, the check engine light was on the entire time and the car drove poorly. At the time of returning, we take the U-Haul to San Marcos per our agreement. Turns out that location is CLOSED. How incompetent can a company be?! We will be filing a complain with the BBB, posting about this actively on Yelp, social media, and other mediums. I am APPALLED by the behavior of U-Haul.

To be fair, lady at the desk did apologize to me for not having the uhaul ready earlier. A customer refused to bring it in until the very last minute. However, I originally placed my order for pick up at 8:30am in Walnut Creek and uhaul just decided they were going to change it to Danville at 12:30. Not only was that out of my way, like way out of my way, but it also was 4 hours later. Not ideal when I'm trying to pack for out of state. They wouldn't change it back to when I needed it. And there was nasty bug spray all over the truck, like a giant disgusting roach stuck to the windshield wiper. Gross! I'm praying I don't move for awhile. Renting from uhaul is stressful. They also charged me $30 more when I tried to switch the location back to Walnut Creek, even though I never got to pick it up from there in the end...

5 star service at the Shree Postal Annex of Danville. Very poor general U Haul communication (not the Shree Postal Annex), unable to use the phone app or internet to return the truck.

This is a small operation with very little inventory that uses the back of a shopping center. This location is not good for getting a hitch installed. Young man that removed the trailer from my car did a good job and was very nice. He barely knew what he was doing but worked on instinct.

I called this location to have my bill explained and go through the itemized bill...in the end the lady was yelling at me and not listening to me...she was angry and very upset...I explained that I was not yelling at her and to please stop ...she continued. All I wanted to find out ...is how many days I was charged for...I have used other Uhaul locations and will definitely never return to this one or recommend it to friends or neighbors.

The location was great. The man working there saved my experience from being completely horrible. I scheduled to pick up my uhaul an hour before the store opened so that I could get started with the moving experience quickly, but Uhaul's online checkin system and terrible online customer service caused me to wait there for a full hour until the store opened because various errors were occurring which prevented me from checking out my vehicle. The website would not let me check in without location services, but my cell service was too poor to allow location services, so I ended up driving to the starbucks across the street to use their wifi to check in, only for the system to tell me that I was not at the car so I could not pick it up. Meanwhile, my poor friend who offered to drive me was being dragged around on this terrible errand. When I went to enter my father (who has a similar but different name than me) as my alternative contact, the system said that they could not approve my contact because it was me (??). And then, the system locked me out completely and said that it needed customer service approval to process my request to pick up my keys. By this point, an hour had passed and I was able to end my call with the unhelpful customer service person and get help from the brick-and-mortar location. Uhaul's awful internal customer service and online service really kicked off my move on a terrible experience. The man who helped me was the only saving grace.

Provide the correct bill. I was charged for a two day rental even though I used the van for less than three hours. I had to call back to have the extra day charge reversed. I would prefer that when I rent the vehicle, it's condition is reviewed with me at pick up and at return and the bill is settled before I leave, not the day after without my presence. That is how car rental companies do. The vehicle was not very clean, but for a transport vehicle was acceptable.

I was overcharged. I have used other U-Haul locations multiple times. Never had a problem. First time using this location, I got overcharged. Had to submit a customer action ticket, then wait for up to three days for a resolution. Very inconvenient. Will never use this location again.

The check out guy was great, who ever checked in the truck this morning after I dropped it off last night charged me an erroneous $5 cleaning fee....absolutely a fake charge...I'd bet they've done it to others...trying to slip a $5 charge in there to make more money...will never do business with that location again! Heck, I even put like an extra gallon of gas in the truck and they charge me a fake cleaning charge....man, it's not about the money,,,it's total BS

There was a lock on the back of the truck . The key to the truck was not told. The trucks are parked on the back of the shops, there is no way to go back to the shop . You will have to travel a long way to enter from the front. The staff was not helpful. Horrible experience. This same review is going to yelp.

The issue is NOT with the person working at this location. He was nice and friendly. The issue is with the location. The trailers are located behind the Safeway store in the loading area which is fine.The problem is there's no way to get inside the store. I drove around twice trying to figure this out. I had to park my truck in front of the trailer I'm renting then walk around from the loading area to the front where the entrance to other stores were. The U-Haul sign was not very visible. I found it because I knew it was next to Safeway. I usually go to the one in Dublin and Pleasanton. Both have big lots and easy to find. I requested one of these locations but the website changed it to Danville because the other two places did not have the trailer I wanted.
