The lady at the counter was very helpful, as I has a problem with my original renal through the website. When I told her they were making me go 70 miles to pick up my original one way rental, she made sure that I could rent only 2 miles from my home, but I had to bring back the truck (not a problem). I was hugely disappointed with u-haul, but she saved the reputation of the company.

This is a postal annex and the guy could t figure out how to run his computer. I specifically selected my drop off location and yet again my contract had the wrong location on it. Never fear though, as it was only 25 minutes on the phone (the rep was really nice) to get my original contracted location reinstated. In all the times I was given a uhaul trailer this is the first and only I've been sent out to attach it myself. Now I'm fully competent to do so as I tow a lot...but maybe not the next guy.
Staff was friendly and courteous, answered questions and prompt with processing so I could be on my way. Will definitely use them again.

This location is very difficult to find. There should be a note on the website that this location is also a postal annex. The sign for U-Haul is very small and is hard to spot. It should be on the main sign to the business. I tried calling the number but I was placed on hold for a long time. Also, I originally booked a truck in Livermore, but then I was told days later that it was switched to Danville. This added about 40 miles round trip. My pricing should have been reduced for this change as I did not request it.
Guy showed up 30 minutes after opening time. I was standing around waiting because he doesn't think it's important for customers to get a truck for when it's reserved.

The location isn't bad, but the instructions for key drop off were not available, on the app or otherwise. Turns out that the key drop off and parking is NOT at the main parking g lot, but behind the building. That could have saved me 30 minutes. Also, the app did not work well for the return. Submitting the photos was frustrating, as I had network service and the u-haul app was fine, as well as connecting to any other app or site, but submitting the photos would result in errors, but eventually worked. Called support to make sure that the location accepted off-hour drop off. The woman I spoke to was very helpful! I did have to wait 20 minutes, though. Overall, what could have been a 10 minute drop off too more than an hour. That needs a bit of work to make the experience painless. Thanks

Very bad Customer service the owner of the store was nasty and abusive. She was not polite and treated me badly.
Difficult to check in and get keys. Air conditioning doesn't work. Check engine light on. Seats uncomfortable. A lot of money for a truck with 160,000 miles on it.

The manager at this location called me as soon as I picked up the truck on the app. He was incredibly kind and helpful. He walked me through unlocking the lockbox and stayed on the phone until I was set up and ready to go. Thanks so much!!
The customer service was excellent at this location. The app is very difficult to use. It never seems to work properly.
This was by far the most unorganized and disrespectful experience in my recent memory. We were told there was no U-Hauls within 100 miles of our location despite reserving one MONTHS prior. When discussing this with the Customer Service Representative, she was extremely rude and dismissive. After finally getting a U-Haul, the check engine light was on the entire time and the car drove poorly. At the time of returning, we take the U-Haul to San Marcos per our agreement. Turns out that location is CLOSED. How incompetent can a company be?! We will be filing a complain with the BBB, posting about this actively on Yelp, social media, and other mediums. I am APPALLED by the behavior of U-Haul.
They overbook the trucks. At the time when I arrive the office and pick up the truck, it was not available. I had to wait for 30 minutes.
I was over charged. My card was charged over $400 for a 8 hour rental
To be fair, lady at the desk did apologize to me for not having the uhaul ready earlier. A customer refused to bring it in until the very last minute. However, I originally placed my order for pick up at 8:30am in Walnut Creek and uhaul just decided they were going to change it to Danville at 12:30. Not only was that out of my way, like way out of my way, but it also was 4 hours later. Not ideal when I'm trying to pack for out of state. They wouldn't change it back to when I needed it. And there was nasty bug spray all over the truck, like a giant disgusting roach stuck to the windshield wiper. Gross! I'm praying I don't move for awhile. Renting from uhaul is stressful. They also charged me $30 more when I tried to switch the location back to Walnut Creek, even though I never got to pick it up from there in the end...
5 star service at the Shree Postal Annex of Danville. Very poor general U Haul communication (not the Shree Postal Annex), unable to use the phone app or internet to return the truck.
This is a small operation with very little inventory that uses the back of a shopping center. This location is not good for getting a hitch installed. Young man that removed the trailer from my car did a good job and was very nice. He barely knew what he was doing but worked on instinct.
