I have rent more then 4 times with uhaul . All times no issues . This time unit was very old . Also windshield had a REPAIRED chip right in my visual . The back of the truck was filthy and had BROKEN GLASS in it . Told the rep when returning he said ohhh we usually check that i won't charge you for that ..?? TERRIBLE EXPERIENCECHRISTIAN D.

After U-Haul internally moved my rental truck contract from one location to another, without informing me, I would be pressed to recommend U-Haul at all! I ordered a 20' truck and after I was moved to the 2nd location, they didn't have a "working" 20' truck. I didn't know what size truck I was going to get until the day before. As it turned out, a working 20' truck was brought in time for my needs. I had an event. Without the 20' truck, I would have had to rent 2 smaller trucks or drive a larger truck I would not have been comfortable driving. U-Haul needs to do better!Pauline O.

I booked my pickup for 8am. I got up early and was there before 8. The lockboxes were empty and I had to wait till 9:06 to get my truck when the store opened. This put me more than an hour behind. I was told the truck had 5/8 tank of gas. It barely had half. The alignment was so far off that I had to turn the steering wheel 45 degrees to the left just to keep it straight.JOHN W.

Absolutely I WILL never ever come here again, the owner Miss Panel, lied and changed my contract without my knowledge. The next day I called to ask why my contract was changed, She pretended to be an Employee, and said she knew nothing and they are busy with customers!!!! She said please call back to talk to her Employer, because she doesn't know how the uhaul contracts work....No wonder it took an hour to do paperwork, when I already had completed my online reservation and had a set contract with uhaul, she started a complete new contract and I wasn't told until the next day after I had already returned the truck the day before !!!! THEY ARE CHARGING ME OVER 433$ FOR WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 238$ THAT is Fraud!!! I TRIED TO TALK TO THE OWNER OR MANAGER ALL DAY, AND COME TO FIND OUT , MISS PANEL IS THE OWNER AND SHE PRETENDED NOT BE. She Dodged my phone calls all morning saying they are busy with customers and have no time to help me... she pretended to be OBLIVIOUS TO EVERTHING THAT HAPPENED. As far as overall - I'd rate this an "F". The truck wasn't available at the location I needed it and I couldn't rent it one way. I had to put on an extra 100 miles. I had a reservation to pick up in Benicia, CA. and drop off in Arbuckle, CA. This was cancelled by U-Haul and they told me I had to pick the truck up in Santa Rosa, CA. Total bullshit. This rental cost me time and effort. I'd never use U-haul again unless I have to.WILLIAM S.

Explain the return process more when you're closed at the time the truck is due back and we have to close the contract ourselves. It was not made clear at all we'd have to upload live photos in order to close it out. Most people would lock the truck drop the keys THEN close out the contract. Also, uhaul in general moved my reservation to a different location 20 miles away with no call text or email. I only found out because I got a text 3 days prior about "due to covid you should do online check-in." When I called this location they had no record of my reservation and couldn't even look it up using the reservation number. I was forced then to get the size truck this location had which was smaller than what I initially reserved and needed. This truck then did not fit all our belongings we needed to move. I tried contacting uhaul via phone as well, there wait time was 60 minutes so asked to schedule a call back. When it called back it asked to confirm my name and immediately dropped the call when I was connected. Nobody called back. Overall not happy at all with uhauls service and process for this rental.Kelsey B.

Clean the trucks. The truck that I picked up was filthy. Windows were so smeared on the inside and filthy on the outside that it was hard to see until I cleaned the outside at the gas station. Litter filled the inside of the cab - food wrappers, cat/dog food, cat/dog fur, etc. Dirty floor mats that had not been vacuumed or cleaned. The dashboard, steering wheel, rest of the cab was greasy and dirty. If my circumstances were different, I would have walked away without the truck with a "thanks, but no thanks."Bruce T.

No fault of this location but customer returned truck dirty and left light on so the battery was dead. Excellent customer service by the woman there as she changed me to a smaller truck so my move could happen. This truck had a broken, hanging drivers side mirror so had to be extra cautious changing lanes & backing up.THERESA L.

They over charged me! I paid 125 at first then I was never told about charging for each mile over an estimated amount the lady that helped me said I did not need to provide the exact amount and it was also not mentioned I was gunna get charged for gas I had already put in??? And a cleaning fee after I cleaned it???? Not acceptable. My bill was over 300$!!!! And I want my money backSarah A.

I think people need to stay on top of their reservation and when the truck they reserved is due in. Trucks are in such high demand now in CA that you need to stay on top of when you get your truck! The personal at U Haul are great!Wendy G.

Owner accused me of not returning a utility dolly that I never rented . His employee added it to my order , I told him to delete it, I didn't need it, but when the final bill came , he had it on there and the owner wanted to charge me for not returning the dolly. When I called 4 different times to get it corrected , the owner never called back then tried to charge me. I have American Express customer service challenge his charge. If this is how Uhaul runs there stores I would not recommend anyone ever rent with Uhaul. Extremely disappointed with the owner of this facility.PETER K.
I was very disappointed by the service at this location with U-haul. I could not get to the van I reserved for 7:30 AM until 8:30 AM due to the manager not checking his reservation sheet the day before. I found out because he called me in the morning around 7:50 AM. He said he would arrive soon. Upon calling me, he let me know he was "doing me a favor" by getting there earlier. Once the gentleman arrived, he seemed disgruntled. I mentioned to him that I needed to be on the road by 8AM. He then proceeded to state that he had not even gotten his coffee yet. When I asked what could be done to rectify this, he said to leave my contract open and that he would help the next day. He did not help. He also charged more than the estimated price given to me the day I borrowed the van. There was no communication about any of this once he closed the contract. This is completely unacceptable. The location was fine but the truck was dirty. I was however transferred without my knowledge. I walked to my original uhaul location only to find my truck has been moved to the next town over, causing me to have to walk back home and find a ride. I find this extremely unprofessional, and terrible service by uhaul overall. This has nothing to do with this location. This location was very nice and very helpful. They called me twice a day before I was suppose to return it asking when I was bringing it in. When I brought it in a day earlier the woman told me I had to unhook the trailer and when I told her that it was already hooked up when I got it and that I wasn't going to do it. She called her manager who told her to do it and even after she was told she had to do it. She continued to harass me about how I parked it. I paid good money to rent this one uhaul and had an employee try to bully me into doing their job.STEPHEN R.

Overally good experience. A couple minor issues with the self service pickup and return: 1. For pickup, the lock on the key box is finicky. It took me 15 minutes to align the code properly to unlock it. 2. For return, the key box shallow and has some sort of divider in it, so the key with the big tag gets caught, and don't go down to the bottom, it's easy for anyone to pick the key out again. I had to retry a few times to get it to sink to the botton. Why do we need a ginourmous key tag to the key? Hope no one ever loses keys because it refuses to sink to the bottom of the box.Jun L.

I'm not sure you can improve. Michael went above and beyond when the uhaul system crashed on Monday. I was stressed since I had to be moved out by Tuesday. He called me as soon as the system was running. Unlike Concord Uhaul, I had the opposite experience with their customer service. Thank you.SANDRA V.

The lady at the counter was very helpful, as I has a problem with my original renal through the website. When I told her they were making me go 70 miles to pick up my original one way rental, she made sure that I could rent only 2 miles from my home, but I had to bring back the truck (not a problem). I was hugely disappointed with u-haul, but she saved the reputation of the company.Lawrence M.
This is a postal annex and the guy could t figure out how to run his computer. I specifically selected my drop off location and yet again my contract had the wrong location on it. Never fear though, as it was only 25 minutes on the phone (the rep was really nice) to get my original contracted location reinstated. In all the times I was given a uhaul trailer this is the first and only I've been sent out to attach it myself. Now I'm fully competent to do so as I tow a lot...but maybe not the next guy.Matthew P.

This location is very difficult to find. There should be a note on the website that this location is also a postal annex. The sign for U-Haul is very small and is hard to spot. It should be on the main sign to the business. I tried calling the number but I was placed on hold for a long time. Also, I originally booked a truck in Livermore, but then I was told days later that it was switched to Danville. This added about 40 miles round trip. My pricing should have been reduced for this change as I did not request it.william W.

The location isn't bad, but the instructions for key drop off were not available, on the app or otherwise. Turns out that the key drop off and parking is NOT at the main parking g lot, but behind the building. That could have saved me 30 minutes. Also, the app did not work well for the return. Submitting the photos was frustrating, as I had network service and the u-haul app was fine, as well as connecting to any other app or site, but submitting the photos would result in errors, but eventually worked. Called support to make sure that the location accepted off-hour drop off. The woman I spoke to was very helpful! I did have to wait 20 minutes, though. Overall, what could have been a 10 minute drop off too more than an hour. That needs a bit of work to make the experience painless. Thanksfuad F.
