GEORGE HI scheduled to drop off at Main Road Self storage. When I got there they refused to let me drop off because they said they were full and to call U-Haul to figure it out. Turns out U-Haul changed my drop off to another location and never told me. Simply Elegant was closed when I got there so I just dropped it off. U-Haul customer service is the worst. Think I will use somebody else next time.
Brian CLet the customer know the smaller trailers are NOT useable with 1 7/8 ball. This store told me they were. After towing the trailer 1 mile to my house and experiencing how sloppy the coupler to ball fit was I purchased another drawer bar and 2 inch ball from Tractor Supply. The coupler to ball fit was still not at all tight. When I dropped the trailer off in Roselle NJ the store owner told me the trailers were NOT to be used with a 1 7/8 ball.
ERNEST VThe worst thing you can do is rent a truck to a mechanic that is due to fall apart at anytime. The front struts, control arms and tie rod ends were completely shot on the tuck I rented. It felt and sounded like the front tires were trying to come off the truck while driving. The check engine light was on, wipers had no rubber so the windshield had scratches that obscure your sight while driving, right rear tire leaked, electrical wires hanging loose in the passenger floorboard, control knob for the lights were hanging by the wires in the driver floorboard. Renting equipment that isn't getting maintenance regularly is a law suite waiting to happen. If you aren't going to keep up with maintenance, take them off the road.

SAMUEL TThe only thing is the headlights on the 17' truck were horrible at night. The previous renter had the lights on the bright setting and I see why. You shouldn't have to do that. They are unsafe in their current state.
RICHARD FI originally had a reservation for 9am at 1005 West 5th North Street in Summerville. They office said the person was running an hour late after waiting and going on an 1 1/2 hrs - called Uhaul and had to find another location. I was paying 6 men at $25 to sit around and do nothing for 3 hrs because of this poor customer service from Uhaul. The Trolley road location was very helpful and got me in and out quickly. However, Uhaul said they would credit monies for an "inconvenience fee" and did not.

OLIN MI reserved a cargo trailer to transport a heavy piece of furniture on a 6 hour drive. I also reserved an appliance dolly which comes with straps to secure heavy items. To my surprise, upon arrival at the rental office, the staff only had utility dollies which are intended to be utilized with light items. Though I was able to accomplish the task, the light dolly made the job more difficult. This is the first time I have encountered such issue. More care should be given to the needs of a renter. If I reserve a specific item, I expect it to be there upon my arrival. Hope this issue can be corrected at U-Haul retailers. Other than that issue, the office staff was extremely friendly.
LUIS RUHaul is great . Beverly and her coworkers were professional and efficient ! I will definitely go back to this location for UHaul.

ANNETTE PWhen we came to pick up our equipment, the equipment they rented us was not working properly. They would have known this had they had it ready when we got there. We had to wait while they called in to get permission to give us a different unit. Then they sent us out with an auto transport that had a flat tire. We spent 3 hours waiting for roadside before we could even load for our trip. Roadside put the wrong size tire on so about three times a day I had drivers waving me over telling me I had a flat tire, when I did not. Your equipment should be inspected and ready when your customer arrives. We have a pickup time, and generally that's the time we need to be moving. The pickup time isn't a time for somebody to start looking to see if their equipment is ready to hit the road or not. Unfortunately, we're going to have to use you one more time. But I won't go to the same place to get equipment. They were horrible. I understand it's a party rental place that rents U-Hauls, but the lady in charge of the U-Hauls was just mean! Not just to us, but to her coworkers. Overall it was just a bad experience. Putting us on the road late cost me a fortune in hotel fees for reservations I had that I could not meet. So your U-Haul rental in effect cost me an extra $350. If you want to make my experience better, you can offer me a slight refund.
NANCYJO VMy only complaint is I passed 4 U-Haul locations on the way to this one. I went miles out of my way when there was a location 3 miles from my destination.

JANE HRachet assembly for the tire tie-down straps on the auto transport is rusty and made it's use difficult to use. Other than that, rental experience was good.
JOHNNIE KShortly after driving off the lot we noticed one of the tires appeared a bit flat. It turns out the tire had 9 psi air compared to 50 psi of the other tires. It took about 10 minutes to add air to the tire plus dowloading the road service app and texting with road service to verify what tire pressure the tire should be filled to. The tire pressure is something basic that should have been checked before pickup.
ROBB TVery well maintained. The customer service was great at this location. Pick up and drop off were very easy.
MARC CCab was a little dirty but no too bad. The rubber bed lining made some items difficult to loan. Would prefer that as an option.

Emeliz CThe dash of the truck was covered in a sticky mess... like the previous renter spilled a soda or something. Also, the truck's cargo area was DEFINTELY not waterproof (they have a sign in it saying it's water resistant but not waterproof... I'm not sure I'd even call it water resistant)... It started raining while we were loading the truck and a substantial amount of water made its way into the truck and all over our furniture. We were able to leave our mattresses and couch out in the sun the next day to dry out, but a couple of our tables were permanently damaged. I'd still recommend the location itself, as it's one of the nicest places from which I've ever rented a U-Haul... I think I just got unlucky with the truck I received.
