The parking was limited and I was never greeted by an employee. Idk if I left it in the right spot or not.

JOSEPH KWhen picked up all the tire pressure lights are on all tires needed air one was almost flat had to go pay to put air in them obviously something must be wrong with one tire at least dangerous if it lets loose also brakes were not good transmission was iffy.The cab needed a cleaning vacuum .The vehicle had 76,000 miles but seemed much older

Francis MWeird check in procedure took way too long on line. When I got to the location I had to go inside a gas station and retrieve the key. attendant asked for my license and then used his personal cell phone to check something while inputting my DL.. Not to comfortable with that experience. Then when I returned he used a hand held device that was attached to the computer. Not sure I'd go through that again. lost precious rental time.
John UNot easy on or off. Busy gas station/concienence store on very busy highway. Also no boxes/packing materials, or trailer equipment. People were very nice and knew what they were doing… sort of.

Amad UOwner showed up a half hour late and couldn’t find our reservation and never reached out to U-Haul to resolve. Wasted an hour of our time and then overestimated our miles and gas because he didn’t check the numbers before we left. Horrible experience.
Nicole BLocation seems disorganized. Gave me the wrong keys to the van. Tried to start the van not it was not the correct keys. Then it took them 20 minutes to find the correct keys(in lock box and had to try multiple codes) so I was late to pick up the items I needed the van for. The week before, my husband rented from the same location and had issues also. They had no record of the reservation and it took 20 minutes to find the reservation. I know this is not their primary focus, but a little preparation would go a long way for serving the customer in a timely fashion.
Sandra SVery antagonistic woman refused to answer my questions regarding a claim she made that the police were going to arrest me for brining back the vehicle late. I asked her to please contact the police to let them know it was returned in good working order and she refused. She then said she didn't work for uhaul and that she needed to eat her food. The uhaul rep on the phone was nicer and assured me no reports were filed. Unfortunately I did not receive any paperwork and the rental info was deleted from the app. I was charged $900+ for a 1 week rental of a 9' cargo van and was told a cleaning fee was also going to be chsrged. I had a heart attack and was hospitalized which is what caused the delay. I offered to show proof and the woman and the uhaul rep said it didn't matter I should have found a way to bring the car back.

Anna MI requested moving blankets and hand truck. When I picked up the vehicle non of the supplies where in the truck. Went inside and was told hand truck in back of the building. One hand truck broken one worked..so I HAD TO GET THE HANDTRUCK AND PUT IN THE TRUCK AND TOLD NO MOVING BLANKETS. was told oh they didn't tell me about blankets. Meanwhile all of my emails said blankets and hand truck. So truck and material not there nor prepared. Very disappointing. Have had much better service prior usage of uhaul.
Scott KThe mobile checking in was horrible. It took forever. I had to take the headshot picture several times before it got accepted. Verifying an additional contact was horrible because my wife and friend don't accept calls from unknown numbers. I'm never doing mobile check in again.

ROBERT BI rented a truck from the Kinnelon NJ location in the summer. After driving the truck off the lot and getting home, I was called and asked to return the truck because they gave me the wrong one. No credit or consideration was given for my inconvenience due to their error, even after I asked. Never mind that I had to begin packing the truck so I could drive it to Virginia. I drove it to my destination and returned it a day early because I was done with it. I inquired about partial discount, not just for returning it early but also because of the previous inconvenience. I called the national U-Haul, who then passed my request to the store where I rented. They offered me this: keep the truck and extra day for no charge. That is no help, I was done with the truck. I asked about a token discount - I spent over a thousand dollars, could they refund a small percentage as a gesture of goodwill? While I understand that there is no obligation to credit me for returning it early or even for my inconvenience at pickup, but I also understand that consideration for customers goes a long way. The rental was fine. But if I have another option available, I would go elsewhere before renting from here again.
Rich LGentlemen was very helpful and informed me when the I tried backing up the trailer it wasn't connected properly.
John aThe staff was very willing and accomodating. The 9' Cargo Van I rented was in very good condition as it was almost new with only 7300 miles. The only issue was the front floor mats were covered in mud. No one cleaned it since that had happened.

James PThe uhaul company changed my reservation time and they comepensates telling me they will only charge me 99 cents a mile for Saturday and they DID NOT? They charged me $1.99 and I called to complain and discuss and no one has gotten back to me so I’m very disappointed. I will not use uhaul ever again Dior to they lied to me

Robert WCargo van had dirt inside the back portion but was otherwise clean. The person who checked me in gave false information so be careful to only ask Uhaul directly as you met get extra charges. She also gave me attitude after I got my bill and saw the extra charges and said she was only a 3rd party so not to complain to her but she is the one who gave me bad info.
Komal AI rented a 15-foot truck at the 1155 Rte. 23, Kinnelon location. Fuel tank was 7/16 full. I drove it a total of 20 miles. It was late at night when I returned it without gassing it up. When I got my invoice, it showed that it was returned with less than 1/8 of a tank. I was billed $75 for 15 gallons of gas (again, a 20 mile total trip for a 1.3 MPG average), and a $30 service fee since they said it was under 1/8 of a tank. Fortunately, when I dropped off the truck I took a picture showing the odometer and fuel gauge, showing that the tank was more than 1/4 full. I called customer service who were very helpful and I am expecting a $70 refund.

She is rude and unprofessional. I will never recommend it to anyone or do business again with this place.

Paul CI think your phone customer care should be able to help better. Was pour experience. I am Happy it was close by and I was able to speak to someone that was able to help at Simply Mediterranean. It also didn’t help however uhaul received my information it was all wrong, so I never was updated on anything

anne oThe location was changed from Montville to Kinnelon which by itself is not a big deal. It was not ideal to find out when I arrived that ere was no appliance had truck and regular hand truck included, as originally ordered.
