Great customer service
Roberto FThey don’t tell you in advance that your vehicle will be towed if parked on their lot. I had to rearrange my plans and get someone to pick me up and drop off my car. They could have cared less!!!
WILLIAM NIt is located in a liquor store. Hard to give timely service when you have customers coming in constantly and interrupting the check in process. Not convenient at all.

Stuart EThey have too much going on trying to run a cash register for liquor and trying to rent u-haul’s. The clerk was having trouble with the first customer and was working on me at the same time and also ringing up liquor sales. He put extra payments on my bill and you guys aren’t trying to honor my correct bill all the way. I have my own insurance and didn’t ask for the insurance he put on there. I feel like his poor customer service has put me in a position I shouldn’t be in. And I want the $120 taken off my bill.
CURTIS WYour mobile app process for picking up and returning the vehicle is atrocious. It’s not quick or convenient. It feels like jumping through too many hoops. It also rejected my initial payment with no explanation other than “a problem has occured”. The experience was unpleasant enough that I’m not sure if I would ever use U-Haul again.
Brian SMy recent U-Haul rental experience at Skyline Liquors left me feeling cheated and frustrated. The employee handling my reservation never once asked if I’d like insurance, nor did they inform me it was optional. Yet, when I got the final bill, there was an unexpected $60.00 charge for insurance—outrageously more expensive than the cost of renting the vehicle for three days. Shocked, I contacted U-Haul customer support to clarify the situation. They got back to me saying they spoke with the Skyline Liquors staff, who insisted they always offer insurance to customers. That was a blatant lie, and it led to U-Haul denying my refund request. Skyline Liquors’ underhanded tactics show zero integrity, and it’s clear they prioritize squeezing extra money out of customers over providing honest and reliable service.
JOHN LTruck’s fuel tank was 3/8 full when I picked it up. Never encountered that before; trucks are always completely full when I pick them up. I was confused as to whether I should return the truck with 3/8 full tank or a full tank. As U-Haul charges a very expensive amount per gallon for fuel, I filled it up completely when I returned it. Not sure if I wasted money by putting 5/8 of a tank worth of gas in of returning.
Richard RLot of frustration with the app, 20 minute wait to get someone from U-Haul on the phone and no one at the site to help. This was not less expensive than hiring a moving service to come to me and far more frustrating. I will never use U-Haul again.
Cynthia RThe second time i rented from this location. It is convenient and they are very nice and helpful. But both times I reserved a 4 wheel dolly and both times it was not on the reservation and they could not provide. It was not critical just something to know about your reservation system.

DANIEL RThe location made it difficult to use the app due to poor reception due to location I believe this was a tactic to get more money as it made it difficult to return my vehicle on time The process to return with the app should not be so tedious and more user friendly I attempted to click return my truck multiple times as well as refreshing my page that in turn made me sign back in multiple times to no avail Once I was finally able to get in it was way after my return time frame I will never rent thru the app again

Joseph FThe first place, Margate Marathon, 1601 York Rd, Lutherville, MD 21093, had no one there when it was supposed to be open for pickup at 6. Closed and locked. No internet access, so no way to do something digitally. Called the 24 hour main number, but totally unhelpful, and kept sending me to the main number even tho it was not open till 7:00am. At 7, had to wait 20 minutes on hold until someone came on, told me they were not responsible, but set me up at another location, Usha, 209 E Joppa Rd, Towson, MD 21286. The truck I was given had no hand truck or blankets I paid for, Had less than 1/4 tank, was dirty, and the passenger side mirror was loose, so useless. A nightmare.
Samuel MI find it quite curious that the aspects of UHaul's service that were absolutely horrendous are not addressed by the very limited fixed questions and options. I want to first state clearly that all the client facing staff I interacted with from July 6 to 7 were very pleasant, professional, apologetic and action oriented. They did what they could to help me at every step. My issue is with the silly app that all the messaging wants to push for us to use, but that can't deal with real time issues and obviously has major bugs to fix. AND even more crucially, the core equipment- trucks! I got 2 vehicles from UHaul over the weekend that were both defective and cost me several hours in waiting, slowing down my move (turning a few hrs of work into 2 days of moving) , costing me hundreds of dollars more in time for movers, inconvenience at my new apartment as I arrived way after the scheduled window, and sheer stress. I've used UHaul quite a bit and recommended it to others as a no-brainer but after this experience, at least in Maryland, I don't know if I'll ever use this company again.
Alistair SI had a horrible experience with my initial reservation and my reservation was changed to this location. Which was an inconvenience to me due to location. I do not recommend the location of 2430 York Road, Timonium, MD 21093 very unprofessional. I am still upset over the matter.

Paul MThe location was great, but the truck was close to empty. Also, the supplies requested were not in the truck.. I did receive a refund. It should be noted that if you rent a truck to add the app for pickup & the long waits to speak to someone.

It took multiple attempts to upload photos (continuously showed the spinning/"loading" wheel for several minutes) and in general was not a smooth, easy process. In the future, we will schedule when we can interact with a employee to obtain keys rather than an app - and this is coming from a millennial.

ERIC VEquipment wasn’t assigned to my rental when I arrived for remote check-in. Called customer service who quickly got me to a scheduling manager. Issue was quickly resolved. Great customer service
Richard FIt was a little confusing to find the store since it is inside another retail store. The mobile check in did not work well with my phone so that caused delays. The person handling my rental was very helpful and accommodating.
Sun YThis was not the preferred pick up location. We were nformed day before pick up of the need to change locations by the scheduler/dispatch; and also told that vans were not typically available for one way service (???). There is a lot of info on uhaul's website, its just not presented very well or lend to getting quick information e.g., tolls. The 24X7 remote app is awful. The link to "find my car" described in the video is nothing like the real experience. The link to get started w/ 24x7 pick up does not look like a button and they make you repeat all of the information you previously entered; plus they ask for additional information (passport photo? work contact to verify identity?) that's not described in video or other info I read.
Michael SDon't charge for gas when you get a vehicle that has an empty tank. $115 is waaaay too much 2 days in that condition. Service was outstanding though.
Charles LThe automated website was pretty poor. Many times it would freeze up with a blank screen surrounded by just the border of the app. I couldn't even get it to fully complete returning the truck. It would just hang and I finally just gave up and turned the keys into the box at the drop off location. So most of the disappointment with using U-Haul was technology based.

I have pictures as proof to show we rented their truck and drove less than one mile (767.5 to 768.3) and I was charged for 3 miles and $11 in gas when the odometer didn’t move. My photos from before and after match and this location will not refund me. I’m disputing the entire charge now with my credit card company.

Catrional HI had no problem getting the Van, but I am still waiting for my final statment, also like to bring this to your attention, when I originally made reservaton to pick the Van gave estimated date from 7/1/23-7/3/23 , after I reviewed my statment I was charged for 3 days when I returned the next day 7/1/23 before 3:55pm, spoke to customer service they gave me the credit back for the extra charge. I don't know how they calculate the charge I suggest who ever pick the key from the locker need to monitor the camera that shows the exact time and date of my return. I will contact the customer service again for my final statment. The gentlmens who assisted me at the location where very professional and helpful. Thanks again Mimi Tefera

Jordan RIt was the worst. Not only was I waiting a long time to be attended to as he was conducting business that could have waited until after he attended to me. The other worker was standing to the side on a personal call. When he finally acknowledged me, he took the keys (rudely I might add), he then told me I was checked in and shooed me away. I asked if I had any paperwork and he said no. As it was my first time renting a truck, I didn’t know any better. I actually believed him only to be hit with an extra day fee! I returned the truck early and with more gas! I’ve tried repeatedly to get it fixed and no one has responded as of yet. And it’s like a month later. So yea. I will NEVER go to this location EVER again. It made me even wary of renting from uhaul again.

Jeffrey DI gave the location a rating of average because the driver's side headlight needs to be fixed, it's not working. I could have been pulled over by the police! I didn't know the light was out until after I dropped my friend off at his car. He informed me it was out when he was in his car, after we finished moving my belongings. By that time I was enroute to return the truck to the rental location. Other than the light issue, the rental experience was good.
Ian AI was overcharged significantly and never contacted by uhaul despite reporting the problem initially. Whoever had the uhaul before me reported the metrics incorrectly and I was charged for over 60 miles when I only took the uhaul a total of 10. Still haven’t been contacted and will be disputing the charges.
Lara BI ordered shipping blankets and didn’t find out until I got to the truck that there weren’t any. I wasted another 10 mins trying to chat with a U-Haul rep, but got nothing but an offer for some kind of refund. I needed the blankets not a refund. I ended up having to go get blankets and waste additional time and money.
