Check engine light: ON Check gas cap warning signal: ON (despite fact I checked it multiple times, took off, screwed back on as tight as possible and still would not go out Check traction control light: ON. Could not get it to go off Check oil light: ON/OFF. Kept on coming on, then turning off repeatedly. Drivers side door: would not close tightly. COuld hear wind coming thru door while travelling. Same situation with passengers side door. All of this was noted when i returned the rental and the response was "oh, we knew...." Yet they still rented the vehicle out. One of the worse experiences ever in renting a truck. PLUS, the cost/mile is ridiculous!

YURI YThe gentleman who operates U-Haul Rentals from Sophias Flower is quite unaccommodating. I say gentleman, as he did not introduce himself to me when I arrived to pick-up my rental. Any business person of course would. When placing the U-Haul on the hitch, we made certain all was operating correctly. The electrical unit did not function properly when attatched. He had no concern for the fact that the left direction lights weren't functional, nor the brakes. He was going to let me leave with the rental in that manner. Of course, I demanded that all lights, directionals, brakes and hazard lights were functioning. He adjusted the wiring when I became irritated with his being so neglectful and nonchalant. With just a little bit of effort, all lights became funtional. I also received the contract in Spanish. I'm not of Spanish descent, and can not read Spanish. I also doubt if all of his customers are or speak, read Spanish. I will never pick-up another rental from this location! I also advise you not to as well. There are many U-Haul Rental locations to choose. Again, I advise you to choose anyone other U-Haul rental location than Sophias Flower. Thank you

Brian JThere was no one at the drop off location. There was no instructions on drop off policy. We called the number and no one answered. Overall I wouldn’t use this location again without better instructions. Also I received texts about needing to return The trailer we were renting so that another family could use it even though we had an all day reservation. And then when I did have to change the time of our drop off, I called U-Haul like the text message asked me to do and the person I spoke to on the phone seemed very confused about what I was asking.

Olivia MTruck interior was in rough shape (missing window crank knob, some panel switches dangling) HOWEVER the pickup location was FANTASTIC: No extra sales/upcharge. I pre-checked in, so the pickup took <5minutes, and they HAD THE TRUCK! I've tried other locations and despite reservations, had given it away, not the case here. Drop off took about 30 seconds. No BS charges/fees after hand off, just QUICK AND EASY!

I started the mobile return and someone popped their head out of the building. it just felt weird. if they would like ppl to use the mobile method, just have a sign stating that. that's fine by me. but it's an odd feeling seeing an open sign but no one being around when I open the door.

Lisa Cthe people running this uhaul franchise location ("sofia's flower shop") falsified the mileage, and added CDW insurance to the receipt (which i had declined). additionally, when i dropped off the vehicle, i had asked for a receipt. the man working there refused to provide one, and instead insisted that i drop the keys in the drop box. when the receipt arrived by email an hour later, it had been substantially padded, by mis-representing the mileage out, and also by adding CDW which i had declined. i know the exact mileage out, as i took a photo of the mileage and emailed it to myself as proof, at the time of rental. by mis-representing the facts, the franchisee had more than doubled the actual cost of the rental. i've contacted uhaul at the provided contact address. if the issue is not resolved by tomorrow, i'll be filing a chargeback with the credit card company, and a complaint with the FTC, as well as with the district attorney. please take action against this dishonest franchisee, uhaul, they are giving you a bad name with their fraudulent billing practices.
MichAEL GSofia's was very helpful. My problem is with the pick up and drop off process I tried with using the app instead of going inside. The owner noticed my frustrations and came out to help me. The online process was lengthy and the site said it was easy! Definitely not so!

Isaac PThere was confusion that was primarily U-Haul's fault. I reserved a cargo van online, and the U-Haul website allowed me to book it for 8:30 AM, saying that the business where I wanted to pick it up from (Sofia's Flowers) wasn't opened at that time but I would be able to use 24/7 mobile pick up. U-Haul sent me an email instructing me to follow the enclosed procedures at the time of pick up, again stating that I would be able to get the van even though the business wasn't open for business at that time of day. On the day and time of pick up, I followed all of those instructions, only to get to the final step where U-Haul said to wait until the business opened. This was only the first part of the problem. Next, once I was able to meet with the owner of the business, I had to go back through all of the steps I had already completed online in order to rent the van. The owner issued the keys to the wrong van, so when I got the email from U-Haul with the link to confirm the U-Haul assigned number and the license plate number, they didn't match what was in the email. When I reported this to the owner, he became irate, barking, "I don't want no complaints!" over and over again. He also walked away from me while I was trying to talk to him and went to talk with my husband instead. I called U-Haul and had the van number corrected on the paperwork so that it showed the appropriate vehicle. Finally, one of the reasons I chose U-Haul was because it appeared that I would not have to refill the vehicle with gas. It was never stated anywhere that was obvious to me. The only reason we realized we had to restore it to its original quantity was the printed statement on the dashboard. After my husband saw that, I went into the contract and found the statement very far down in the agreement. That is underhanded in my opinion. You charge a flat rate for the rental plus $1.09/mile. These charges were very apparent everywhere I looked, both on your website and throughout the process of securing the reservation. At no point did U-Haul explicitly inform customers that they also needed to restore the gas tank to its original level -- extremely poor business tactic. I have already received a $50 refund from U-Haul, so I'm as satisfied as I can be at this point. I would not reject an additional refund, though. We have 3 kids and are moving them in and out of dorms & apartments constantly. We've rented from Budget and Home Depot without any of the hassle we had to deal with from U-Haul.

Bernard dWould be a good idea to have the reserved vehicle in an easily accessible spot or at the very least facing in the direction of the exit. My 15' truck vwas parked behind a 24' truck facing away from the exit. This location is basically a house with a small parking area and a driveway that leads to the back yard. That was where my vehicle was located, facing the away from the exit. It was a very narrow area and I had to complete a 8 point turn and drive in the grass in order to leave the premises.
Brian WI was very upset at the condition of the truck. I sent in a request for a Partial REFUND . never heard a word back. There are other options for rentals now days! Not sure if I would return not only to this location but Uhaul in general since I have yet to hear from anyone!!!
Robin GIt took half an hour in total to do the online check-in. Way too long! And there were no directions on how to get the key. I had to call customer service, whom told me to go inside and ask for it at the counter at the flower shop. If that’s the case, why offer online check-in and have lock boxes for keys? If they had been closed, I would have been totally screwed!! I paid for furniture pads with my rental that were not in the van, so I had to stop and buy some elsewhere. The gentleman at the shop was lovely.

Alba YThe owner charged my card more then necessary and put on insurance and different coverage on the rental when I said I didn’t want any, took a very long time to get everything in order when I went to pick up rental, was making rude comments and giving horrible attitude to my 65 year old father! Over all did not have a good time whatsoever and will not go back to this location for rentals
pierre tIt took 30 minutes to check in despite having already expressed check in, no explanation until the end, their tablet wasn't working. Went to return to vehicle and the gate was closed, had to risk traffic and getting hit to open the gate, after calling and waiting for someone to open it.
