Gas wasn't where it was supposed to be so I had to take a picture of the gauge and return to the office so that took more time than I had. Also the van was smelly and there was some unknown liquid spilt on the floor. The attendant gave me blankets to use which was good but it was still smelly.

1) Provide a user guide for the vehicle. (I never did find out where the hazard light button was.) I asked about the manual in the centre before I left, and the woman came to help me look but we couldn't find any manual. It would have been helpful for figuring out how to lift the rear doors too (I wasn't sure if they were hydraulic or manual). 2) Change your boxes--I bought and used the dish kit and when the mover lifted the box up, the handle ripped. Luckily the box did not fall--I bought the box specifically to carry my mother's best china in, rather than using banana boxes. Next time, I will used banana boxes as they are made with much stronger cardboard. Otherwise, I was very happy with the truck and with the great courtesy and caring of the people working in the office. I would rent from this location again. Thanks! M Flook

First i talked to customer service representative, she was rude to me....she told me she has truck before for my rental...truck was so costly....i said i am on foot so i can't give my credit card no...within 30 min i will reach at location and give my credit card no. Overthere...so she said oh now we don't have truck spot....its gone....so meanwhile walking i gave my credit card no. And she said she has truck now.....and so i booked......after going at u haul facility i saw 7-8 another truck with U-Haul van were there too...i asked for van as i have very small luggage...she denied there....so i agree with bigger truck too....price i paid $150...which i usually pay $60....i am regular customer with U-Haul too.....thanks.

All was great about the location. My only suggestion would be the layout of the online return process. If there was a rundown of the process to start, I wouldn't have been in and out and to the drop box, and then back to the truck... only to get back in, and then learn I needed to get back out, etc.

The first U-Haul place we went to return the truck told us we could not return it there! She was rude and not helpful in the least. It was an after hours drop off and she would not allow it. I found this rather stupid. I was forced to drop the truck off at this 2nd location.

Would have been more convenient to be able to use location at our end of town (plus saving on mileage). When booked, automatically assigned this location--no offer to bring a truck over, nor option to choose a different vehicle that was available at that site.

You're after hours pick up is very confusing. You should put signs on the store to somewhat explain the process on how to obtain the rented vehicle.

Contract number: 28190733 I have used the U haul service and the actual charge was 56.93 (receipt attached). However, I find a wrong receipt today for 90.79. Please correct the overcharged bill and send me the revised one. I have used first time the uhaul service and you guys are giving unnecessary stress to the customer so that I have to spend time in contacting your office. Please do the needful and update me with the right bill. Thanks,

It is hard to see from the street. We missed it completely on Victoria which is the better entrance. We saw vans parked along York but it's very hard finding the office within this converted larger space. Better signage is a must.

Had changed my drop off location which was NOT processed by Pick up loc.....when I was told it was....However, the people at 199 Victoria were very helpful and it turned out OK....

Received extra bill for service that was over $110 above the actual cost. The contact email that was received was different on three different emails and two of the three werent working to contact service to fix the cost issue.

We used the online option for booking and payment. There were some difficulties in the process, including having to re-enter information. We had everything completed online including payment, but when we went to pick up the truck, it was confusing regarding how much we had paid - it seemed the tax was not included in the online prepayment. Coordination between local locations and the North American website could be improved.

Uhaul extended the customers time before me not checking on my pick up time leaving me without the 17ft truck needed. I had to take a smaller truck, late, and was not offered any compensation. Could not complete the move in one trip with the truck as planned.

The only thing I would suggest is don't lend out your vehicles with 1/4 tank or less. As a renter we don't know the ins and out of the vehicles or how fast they consume gas. After my first trip I didn't think I was going to make it to a gas station. Maybe just like a car rental. Have it filled to the top and demand it comes back fully filled. Designate the nearest gas station to avoid any charges on it not being filled to the top But other than that everything was perfect!!! Thanks a bunch for having the 26' truck that I needed!!

Did the online check in ahead of time, and when we walked in the process was very quick. Our only concern was that the seat belt on the passenger seat was very wonky. At first it was stuck and wouldn't stretch out. Once we were able to pull the seat belt out and extend it, it got stuck again and was too loose. Other than that, the moving truck was clean and very convenient to use at a very reasonable price. Would use this service again in the future.

There was confusion when dropping off my U-Haul truck, where I was expected to pay an additional $300 for dropping it off at this location instead of my "preferred" location I selected online (which I could not change online). I spoke with U-Haul office and they informed this location I would not have to pay the additional fee, but no one bothered to inform me and threw out my files!

I'm not sure it has to do with the location, but we were overcharged for fuel and had to deal with the pain of calling in and pushing for it to be adjusted. That kind of put a damper on the experience. BUT that being said, the girl who helped us was awesome and let us come on the Friday night to get the key so we could take the truck early since it was available. Process was easy and staff were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely use Uhaul again - and from the Some Place Safe location.

Additional signs pointing to the office location would be helpful. Your emails indicating that we could "on-line check in" to save time did not indicate that we had to check in on-line in order to pick up the vehicle at the time we had booked. A clearer message would be helpful, especially for first timers.

Cut myself badly on a broken, sharp piece of plastic on the truck's door, twice. Really unsafe. Attendant did not come out of office to demonstrate or show the vehicle upon arrival.

There were clumps of dirt and grass in the van. I had to pick up the dirt/grass clumps and throw them out so my items didn't get dirty. It was also very wet inside. I had to put down tarps to keep the wetness and dirt off our furniture. It smelled like wet dog inside the van.

I called to reserve a truck and advised uhaul I would be returning the vehicle after hours using the drop box. When I picked the truck up at 9:00 am I was told I needed to return the truck by 2:00 pm as the truck was rented out to someone else who would pick it up at 2:00. When I questioned why I couldn't have it till morning I was told it had to be back by 3:00 at the latest. When I returned the truck I was TOLD the other booking was just cancelled. What is that all about?

Although, per the answer above, the vehicle was "clean" and "well-maintained" it did not meet my needs because there was no loading ramp. I have rented the same type of vehicle size in the past on many occasions and ALWAYS had a pull-out ramp. Needless to say, because I rented the vehicle for the sole purpose of moving my daughter, the lack of a ramp to load/unload furniture and appliances was a significant difficulty for us, as it was just two women and we were not able to life the big items up into the truck.

The rental price is so low compared to all the add-ons that it's deceiving. Also, the measurement of the gas gauge for returns is very inaccurate and subjective.
