No ramp. Online it explicitly said there was a ramp. Fuel tank size and fuel estimate printout was very wrong. By a margin of about 5ltrs. This is just theft. No issues with location.Robert L.

The inspection of the vehicle was a little too informal, but overall it worked out. I was told initially that dolly and utility dollies were not available, but these were inside the truck. A little more training would have resolved this. A good and fair experience overall.Mauricio N.

Giving minimum 24 hour notice about any changes to the reservation. When making changes CANNOT change pick up LOCATION and TIME and TRUCK SIZE without a day notice especially that the reservation was made over 2 1/2 weeks ago.Magalie L.

there was little gas in the truck and the rear left brake light was not working, and we could not figure out how to move the side mirrors. The staff person quickly left before we had a chance to ask him any follow up questions. the truck was also about 60 km from where I had asked to rent moving truck from so a detour for the moving dayFrancine F.
The truck was dirty. The ran like crap. Every damn hill that she went up the fan would turn off leaving it to get very warm in the cab and the truck was way too loud to open the windows. The windows were so dirty that we had to clean the windows when it got dark because it rained a bit and every vehicles lights caused you to see nothing out the windshield and on top of that the windshield wipers wouldn't even wipe the windows. And time you were going above 75 and pressed on the breaks it would take 2-3 mins to get unstuck in whatever gear it put it into and almost caused accidents. Thank god my mom is a good driver and didn't get killed. This was the most stressful move I've ever had and renting from you guys just made it all harder. So many things got screwed upGealene L.
The kid at the desk was rude and in a mood. There were no dollies and no option for something similar. The gas line was incorrect and even though I filled it to what was required I was charged an additional $20. Highly recommending others not to use this location.Kimmy J.

Shut down this location. I've been there 3 or 4 times out of necessity and they're always rude and trying to rip you off. They are brash and Unthankful for the business they receive. Do not recommend.Ty D.

Very upset with my last rental, nothing to do with the location or the product, I was told I would have a 12 foot trailer waiting for me and it cost 39.95 for the day, I get there and there's nothing available, what I need the trailer for is time sensitive so I had no other choice but to rent a truck which ended up costing me 4x the price, no call from a uhaul representative, no urgency to help find another trailer, not happy about it and neither Is my bank accountBraden L.

Was charged for "after hours service fee" when all I did was leave the key in the drop box. $20 for that?! Also charged an additional $22.52 for gas, and I left it with more gas in the tank than when I picked it up.PAUL B.

My comments are not about the location, this location is 80 kms round trip from my moving location and I did not choose this location, I choose a Uhaul 2kms from my house, however the day before my move Uhaul relocated me to this location due to overbooking or lack of equipment, which added several hours to my move and several extra in mileage fees. This was not acceptable customer service but yet typical from Uhaul.Deborah H.

Zero customer service or even basic communication skills from either employee we dealt with. Finding out after the fact that we had to return uhaul rental to same location once done was both misleading and illogical when people are MOVING.Megan D.

I paid for a 1 day rental plus 10 miles. When I returned the truck 3 hours later with 8 miles on the odometer I was charged an extra $14 even though I had put gas in the vehicle. When I asked the owner to explain the extra charge he couldn't be bothered. He shoved the receipt in my fave and said read it myself. I asked him to not shove it in my face and he threw it at me. He then threatened me to leave the store or else. He walked around the counter towards me as if he was going to attack me. I threatened to call the police and he eventually backed down. Worst experience I have had at any store ever. This guy should not own a uhaul facility or have any job that involves dealing with the public. He is a loose canon.Shayne C.
When I entered 6228 in Google maps, I was taken to a trailer park about 2 km up sooke river rd, not to the Uhaul location. It was lucky that I saw a uhaul truck come out of Sooke Rd. Also, Sooke Rd does not seem to have a sign identifying it. It was a good thing there was a uhaul sign at the intersection. The truck was great.JON S.

Your reservation system is awful. My reservation was changed multiple times and not only inconvenienced my family, alternate accommodation cost me over $500 to change plans. After booking a month in advance I expected to have my reservation honored. While the dealer was helpful, your company care was horrible.Rodney F.
This wasn't my preferred location. I wasn't notified until the evening before that I'd have to travel 2hours to collect the truck then 2 hours back to my start point. The agent also never gave me a hard copy of my contract and said he would email it to me. This email never arrived. This became a problem when returning the truck due to a discrepancy in the amount of fuel.Steven C.

We were told we had booked a one way trip which the agent told me he did not do and told me he had a cheaper way. We were told we would get blankets but there were none in the truck. The truck was not clean when we got it and they charged me for mileage after the agent had told me no mileage on a one way trip. so we were charged more money than had been quoted to us and had to turn around and drive back to the other community to take back the truck because he did not do one way trips.Cindy R.

Both cab and loading area were relatively dirty and ramp was very slippery. It didn't make my moving process anymore difficult, It was great either way. It was a nice affordable option for moving so I would still give great feedback as the process was very easy. Truck was easy to drive and the lovely young man that helped me was pleasant and helpful.Cailyn S.

It was the worst experience that I had! Not with this location, with U-haul it self! I had booked a truck two weeks in advance in Victoria to move to Vancouver, for which I had booked the ferry and already paid for it! One day before my reservation time, they call me and they say we don't have a truck in Victoria, and you have to go another city, Sooke! Which costs me $200 since I had to rent a car to be able to go there, pay for gas, and waste 3 hours of my time right when I was in so much hurry! And when I called them twice they only offered an extra mileage coverage, which I really didn't need!Pedram P.

This is the 2nd time using this location. Vehicle was almost on empty. Staff who served me was not even in the store when I returned. He drove up after I was there waiting. I had questions about the mileage, wanting to make sure I would be credited and not charged for gas since I put more in than what I got, overall I felt like I was an inconvenience.Teresa Z.
