Execute a thorough Inspection of the equipment prior to renting. I was given a trailer with a nail in the tire. Since it was one way travel, I had to contact U-haul Roadside Assistance vs. using the rental pick up location only 2 miles away. After 60 minutes, U-haul Roadside assistance replaced the tire. On a positive note, Protech Auto Repair employee replaced the tire, checked the other three tires for nails by jacking up the trailer, checked the tire pressure, etc. He was outstanding.
JOHN PMake certain truck is safe and clean. I was given a truck with a bald front tire that had to be changed two days into my rental. The truck was not vetted before I took it -- I trusted it was but have learned to check every aspect before the next rental. The agent did get a leaf blower and clean the back of the truck. But the cab was not cleaned -- the dash was dusty, the floor mats dirty, candy wrappers and candy bars in cubbyholes. Behind the seats was paper trash, an empty gallon water bottle, and a child's teddy bear. I rented on Sunday morning and called the location Monday morning to have then contact the previous renter of the truck about the child's teddy bear, but was snickered at over the phone with the question.I fear some child has moved to a new home and has lost his teddy bear in the move, and is very upset. We still have the bear with us in Maine if the owner of the bear can be contacted. If it were my child, I would appreciate having the bear returned.

DAN LWhen needing to drop off truck after hours the location is very difficult to get to as maps doesn't know the area, the lot has 2 different truck parking locations and no clear directions for where to park. The drop box for keys is also very hard to find as it's just a metal slot in the side of the building. There's no sign on the door telling u where to drop off keys and the drop box itself is unlabeled and hard to find. The app also doesn't tell you where to drop off the keys.

BRIAN S30 minutes to remotely check in and I still didn't finish the process. I ended up leaving with my van and calling customer service, which took 20 minutes to get representative. Their response, ya that happens sometimes.

Vanessa AMy auto transport broke down. I broke down at 1145am and didn't get it fixed till 8pm that night. The bad thing is there was a uhaul place 1.5 miles from where I broke down.
