Checking in and out. Self check in is difficult

Guess you n gas station in hahoots too. You should be ashamed. Hidden charges. I said I did not want insurance n you charged a usage charge n a cleaning charge n it was clean. We said 200 miles n it was under but you lie n said 201. I HV possibly dying hubby to deal with n that's just a start so ty for lieing n making my life harder. GOD DONT LIKE UGLY!!!

Had trouble with the U-Haul app. Person at the pickup location said at least twice “I hate U-Haul.†Tried to sell me the insurance after I had already declined it when making the online reservations. When I asked if there was a phone number to call if I had problems like a flat tire, the rep said, sarcastically, “That's what the insurance is for!†This franchisee is a terrible rep for U-Haul.

raymond D.You need to be MUCH more clear on the paperwork about the process when returning a truck online. I dropped off the truck then left planning on completing the return while on the road. I had to turn around and go back to the location to complete return. It needs to be in bold letters that you need to be onsite to complete the return online. It needs to be noted that photos must be taken, barcodes scanned, milage entered and so on. Has that process have been clearly spelled out/ highlighted it would have been much better. The truck was great, we had nonissues at all with it.

DONNA K.I returned the truck with 7/8 of a tank so I spent $100 more than I should have on gas. When signing the contract the counter is too busy to stand and read. If I would have know that I would not be reimbursed for fuel I wouldn't have filled up the tank. I guess u-haul feels it's better to run out of gas instead of having enough fuel to make it to your destination in a truck you don't know what kind of mileage it gets. i was going to rent another truck but I think I'll just make due.

Jeffrey T.Dee is an absolute gift. U-Haul's crappy website & app does not help your company, but face-to-face customer service is what saved this transaction. Dee got me all straightened out & even recommended a great moving company when movinghelp dot com's didn't show. I'm still waiting for the chargeback for that! Anyway, nothing but 5-stars for Dee, the rest of it can burn a fiery death. I hope I never move again!

William N.Clerk would not go to where the trailer was and made us pull up to the office to check the hook up. Also the trailer did not have the correct plug in for the truck and they made us buy an adapter. Trailers should have proper electric plug ins that work on all vehicles
Nick F.Had no problem picking it up. Friendly customer service. The truck was dirt when we picked it up with a 1/4 tank of gas. We had to put gas in the truck before we could go anywhere. We returned the truck with more gas than we checked it out with and could not get a credit for it but was charged a ridiculous $20 to fold blankets that were going to be laundered.

Zach E.The 24/7 contactless rental process is kind of a pain in the ass. I think I should have been promted to scan my license and take a selfie the day before my rental rather than the day of, so I didn't end up standing in a parking lot waiting for verification. Both pick up and return requires playing a game of 20 questions, then dicking around with a slider for fuel level before finally requires photographic evidence to verify the information that was just entered. I'm not sure why I need to both enter the info and also take pictures. The idea of a self-guided process is great, and this location made it as easy as possible, but U-Haul's implementation could be substantially improved. 2/5

I like the convenience of making a reservation online and seeing what size trucks are available at near by locations. I appreciate Southwoods Storage having trucks of several sizes available right away for same day pick up.

THOMAS P.I was late bringing the truck back and I know it was wrong I had issues getting someone to load the truck for me and kept the truck a couple extra days. I know they had reservations for the truck and all but Dee at Southwoors Center told me she was going to call the police report the truck stolen and have me arrested if I didn't return the truck in 5 minutes. I only had one person helping me move and she abandoned me while we were unloading the truck so I was by myself I am 53 year old female with arthritis very bad I can only move so fast, I had problems with the ramp could not get it unhooked so with being BM

The woman at the front desk when my husband went to pick it up, didn't want to give the trailer up because she was unsure that it was okay with uhaul. Better communication between uhaul and the companies that rent them out would be a lot smoother and less frustrating.
