The “leasing agent” can running out to the truck I was in...the truck that the website assigned to my contract, and was so rude. He insisted that the truck I was in was “not dispatched on a 24hr pickup” he said over and over. I finally had to tell him I do not speak “uhaul” because he kept repeating it louder and louder. I tried to explain that I had already set it all up online and this was the truck assigned to my contract. I felt very threatened by his aggressive behavior. Had we not already started the move of my son’s apartment I would have gone to another rental company. This was disgusting behavior. I felt like I should call the police. Once my husband got out of the car he seemed change his demeanor. Not sure what that was about. Nevertheless, this person is NOT PEOPLE friendly.

Everything that was required to tow was not supplied and we had to pay for extra items just to use the equipment. None of this was mentioned on the website. Speaking of the website, at every turn it tried to have me pay for extra items I did not want. I could see how a less tech savvy person could fall victim to the plethora of extras it tried adding to my purchase. That's makes me not want to rent from uhaul again. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth like i was being nickel and dimed at every turn. Also the covered trailer did not have a crank to raise itself when attaching and detaching from the vehicle. The trailer is exceptionally heavy. I'm surprised people aren't injured while attempting to attach it.

Trailer/car hauler was the only issue and was not a huge deal. The chain anchor was broke and we replaced. One of the tie down straps was frayed and it kept coming loose. Otherwise all went well thanks

Business hours aren't very flexible. I prefer to get an earlier start, and an 900 am opening time is not very flexible. Also, I was told that if a one way reservation comes in after I was given a confirmed order for a local use that it takes precedence over mine! Now, that may be in the fine print, which I missed, but kinda aggravated me on the rental. good thing it was close, or I would have cancelled the order.

Your computer system was a disaster. It took 45 minutes for the csr to get the transaction thru the system. Multiple customers besides us were greatly inconvenienced and delayed judging by the line in the office. The local person was doing everything she could to get a solution. The problem was somewhere upstream of the local office.

The woman administering the rental was great at her job and processes a wonderful personality! The only suggestion I'd have to maintain a slightly larger selection of trucks on site. However, I know this may be difficult in a smaller town. Keep in mind though, this location was the only one within 40 - 50 miles that was still in business and even had a truck. In other words, they are the only game in town so bulk-up a bit and take full advantage of the situation. Thank!

they went above and beyond to find me a truck after I booked one at a closer location to me only to find out the web site wasn't updated and the place is closed now on Mondays. town and country in waterloo needs a talking to by uhaul . thank you again tim for the help. Had problems with a rude customer service when I called the 1800 #. When I called the South wood Center Columbia location We had an awesome experience. The truck was not cleaned by the previous renters. We cleaned it before returning. That was the only downfall. Also the uhaul company wanted me to drive 20 miles out of the way to drop off the truck instead of where I picked up the truck. The staff at the South wood Center in Columbia were amazing! They made it a more pleasurable and no stress situation. Uhauls 1800 # and their $50 on them guarantee is a joke. I was treated with rude customer service on the phone and reservation was not available even though when I booked on line I got a confirmation saying it was confirmed. South wood in Columbia helped me get into a truck and gave 1000% better customer service and attitude than the corporate location.

No problems. The Customer Service Rep was great, the truck ran well and was clean. My only problem is that it was advertised and easy to get in to, and both myself and my 6' tall wife had great difficulty entering and exiting. Why not running boards or something?

A jack stand on the trailer would be nice. Those trailers are heavy and not good for anyone's back. I could see a injury there for someone.

Drove approxmatley 80 miles one way. On the return trip had problems with engine. Wrench light came on, kept loosing power, mileage went from middle of green to all the way red. Used 1/4 tank on the way up and over a 1/2 a tank on the way back. Cost me twice as much for gas as it should have.

the office individual was absolutely rude. April was here name. She had a chip on her shoulder which I'm assuming is because she stated that she was called in. This gal was disorganized that I had to provide her a pen. If she doesn't want to change she needs to find another job. Oh and I was advised that she leaves at 5pm and to have the truck before then returned even though I requested 8 hrs. And the attitude about the dolly I rented and having to obtain it. April was terrible and because of her I most likely will rent down the road next time.

U-Haul didn't have a truck close to my house. I was notified on the day before I was to pick up the truck that the closest location was about an hour drive total. Although there were many locations near me, no U-Haul truck the size I requested was near the city I lived. When you can't find a decent sized truck in a city like St.Louis, close by I can imagine how far you would have to drive if you lived in a smaller town. I would just suggest you get a commitment on the location you are going to pick up the truck before you complete the reservation.

Honestly, the girl who took care of my order was horrible. She was angry, sighing, and making comments about not being ready for the day, logged in to U-Haul, etc. Lots of eye rolling and rudeness. The icing on the cake was her comment that she hadn't had her coffee yet. When I returned the truck she apologized by saying this "Sorry about this morning, I hadn't had any coffee yet" It was very uncomfortable. If this location had not been the most convenient for me, I would have just walked out!! Additionally I paid 3x the usual rate bc I guess Friday is considered the weekend! since when???
