The cashier did not verify who I was since I tried to show him my ID. He did not do a walk-thru in my presence and reported I returned the truck later than when I did, resulting in extra charges.Elizabeth J.

Definitely got the run around on the return. We had a small trailer, and it seems none of the return locations want trailers. We found out the hard way. UHaul people on the phone told us one thing, and the return locations people told us another and refused the trailer. Incredibly annoying on a very hot day. One UHaul person actually hung up on us and would not help. We ended up having to pull the trailer to a location 60 miles away to drop off in the dark of night! This is ridiculous! They are happy to get the money for the rental, but good luck returning it!RONALDEUGENE W.

Totally SUCKS!!! I arrived on time. Location was closed. Then I was told that I could not drop the trailer (Manager said NO drops) I told them the trailer was not my problem any longer and suggested they call you. My next encounter was even worse! I returned the Vechicle at 9:30 am on 06/04/21, but truck as not checked in until 9pm at night. The last thing I did before I checked the truck in was fuled the truck with gas. DO NOT KNOW WHY I WAS CHARGED FOR GAS!!!!Arthur J.
I was charged for gas and a gas fee when I know that I returned it with the same amount of gas in it in which I received it. I know this because I gassed up at the gas station that I got the Uhaul from and then parked it. Two days later a when I received the email, I saw the charge on my Uhaul receipt and that I returned it on (E), I went back to the location to dispute the charge because I know for certain I put gas in it back to what I received at 1/4 a tank. I told the rep who processes the uhauls the problem and he showed me a picture on his phone of an odometer on (E). I told him that someone must to had driven the truck between the time I dropped it off and when he checked it, because I gassed up to 1/4 of a tank and parked it about 60 ft away from the fuel pump. I asked him to look at their video and he would see what I was saying was true that i gassed up in their station and parked the truck. There is some real shady stuff going on at this location. He refused to look even after I showed him in my debit card app the gas transaction that took place at their location as proof. Because of his neglect or shady practices I'm getting charged $78.88 extra! The location is the SPEEDY EXPRESS 2. @ 704 Bells Hwy. WALTERBORO SC. I would stay away from this place in the future. I'm going to be contacting Uhaul about this. I'm very offended at how that manager handled my situation.THOMAS B.

Pick up location was not open at at 9.am. Had to call uhaul customer service. They had to call a couple of times before they could tell me someone was on their way. U haul rep was very good, and was apologetic and gave money off rentalTimothy D.

I just dont understand why it was suppose to be 45.00 and they charged me 112.00.i wish you could explain that to me.i only keep the truck for8 hours and I filled it back up with gas.and cleaned it.Thanks and sincerely Delores MarchantDELORES M.

Woman renting the truck could not explain insurance coverage. When I returned the truck the owner was not wearing a mask--as local laws require--and was not enforcing the mask ban in his store. Instead of checking in my truck he kept selling lottery tickets. I am an attorney; he was endangering my health. I have an elderly mother and cannot expose her to COVID-19. I called the police to report him when I left. I am an attorney; you should not let him rent U-Haul trucks.Carol B.
I was told from my contact with the second person that they would contact uhaul to cancel the 20 ft truck for the 26 ft.. They did not. They said they could not find my reservation for about an hour before I picked up the truck, even after giving them the reserve number. Finally the third goal office got it straight. I was charged for another day when I returned the truck, plus insurance. I was not told that I was to return the truck by noon. I would like for that amount to be removed. IHELEN M.

No one at the site knew how to do check me in, I had to wait 20 min for someone to arrive. The informed me they didn't have the blankets I reserved, they didn't wall the truck with me to look for damage. The inside of the truck was nasty. There were even cigarette buts in the ashtray. The back was very dirty and had to be swept out before use. I have used Uhaul many times In the past but have never had an issue like this. I would not recommend them.JEFFREY G.

I had to park and unhook the car trailer attached to the truck and hook up the the trailer I rented. No help from the staff, did not check the equipment after it was hooked up. Very dissatisfied with the customer service.Thomas W.

Uhaul smelled bad in the cab and in the trailer. The power steering had a leak, steering rod was rusted and extremely loose, and it needed a water pump. I was unable to drive the Uhaul to my destination. It had to be towed 4 hours to my home. When I was done unloading, it had to be towed to a mechanic. These trucks are not being maintained properly. Roadside assistance was wonderful with helping. I would not have known the truck had all of these issues if a friend had not lifted the hood to see why it was so hard to steer. Operator was late for pickup. Truck smelled of smoke. Also got charged a fuel fee when I had returned the gauge to the level of of pickup as we had discussed. Very poor experience.James S.
The rental truck itself was fine. The pickup and return of the truck was a circus. To start with I was supposed to pick up the truck at 8 am. I got there, a gas station, to pick it up at 8:30 am. The store was not open yet even though the store hours showed it should be open. I left there to run an errand and come back. The store was still not open. Long story short, I drove an extra 50+ miles round trip to another location to pick up a truck at the direction of the Uhaul 1-800 number. I arrived there to find that the store was closed until further notice so I returned to the original place to get my truck almost 3 hours after original pickup time. I got the truck there. Clerk said store doesn't do much business early so he usually gets there between 9 and 10. This would have been nice to know ahead of time. When returning the truck, I had a vip code from 1-800 u haul for some of my trouble. Clerk didn't know how to get the code to work in the computer so I spent a total of 45 mins in the gas station when all was said and done after a local regional manager had to come to the station to enter the code. If store updated accurate hours it would be a better situation. The store clerk has trouble with the U-haul website.Jon P.
