I was told to be on time for my pickup time. I was on time. I was waiting for 45 minutes to an hour because the customer who had the truck before me was late. Also, the girl at the counter didn't know what she was doing (but trying very hard to help). If she had known what she was doing, she also had no access to the system and the owner of the location was at home on a long lunch break. I had two people take the day off to help me move things, my young, special needs son, my older daughter and my partner waiting with as well. We were on a time crunch. So this was more than just a little inconvenient for me and everyone involved. The girl at the counter said she doesn't know how to check trucks in, but she knows how to rent them out. I asked if I could just rent a different one but that wasn't possible because the only small truck they had was the one they couldn't make available. I tried to then cancel but that wasn't possible because she was actively working on the reservation. The owner came back after a while with no sense of urgency. One apology at the very end of also seemingly struggling to make the truck available. Both ladies were polite and seemed to be doing all they could to help. But if I were them, I'd be embarrassed by the unprofessional nature of the whole ordeal. I was not impressed and hate to be leaving this. But I would like to be heard about it. Thank you. PATRICK JI recommend having all pick-up locations brief the customer on next steps after agreement is signed and keys are handed over. I was not prepared to take photos, upload live photos, WiFi was unstable at our location, so I was unable to finish uploading all photos. Husband was behind the wheel and ready to get the move started. Was tricky getting good pre-trip/rental photos due to placement of U-Haul truck. Parked close to others and backed up to weeds.

LAURIANN DNot that I'm complaining. But Updated trucks would be nice. I know the cost is costly. But it would benefit in repairs. Plus keep up with the competition.
