Inefficient
JACK AThe gate didn’t work so I wasn’t able to pull the truck in to the actual parking lot to return it. I had to park outside the gate which is obviously not ideal.

Steven LMy receipt from booking online said 55.00 for rental. I took off the 15.00 safe charge and still got charged the amount. My receipt online said 55.90 I then get a charge for 95.00 I will never book U-Haul again
Angel JI would suggest that the reservation system should be updated to select one way or round trip so a customer doesn’t have to wait for the agent to redo what I already reserved online.

Jan WNice guy but the truck failed to connect to the trailers lighting at the LAKEVILLE location. I therefore could not pull my vehicle. That meant my 89 yo father in law had to drive 9 hours. Thankfully we made it.
Lynn CThe mobile app experience was unacceptable. It is only at the end when you are there to pick up your truck that you learn you need to have two references available by phone to verify who you are. This should be made crystal clear from the start.

Nicole JI returned the truck after hours (but well within my 1-day rental range). There was no well-lit, clear area to return the truck and take photos. The app crashed before I could finish the check out process, and then I couldn’t get back in to finish taking pictures. This whole return process after an exhausting day of moving was very frustrating.
Ross RThe truck was not washed on the outside. It was dirty. Inside was clean. I would expect to pick up a clean truck. Please wash your trucks before diapatching to customers. Other than that everything was good.

Monte DThis wasn’t my original drop off location. The original location was Axis Auto, which was terrible. I showed up and was told by the employee there they no longer worked with U-Haul. After calling U-Haul and getting a new drop off location I drove there and was told they don’t accept trailers. The third location, Stephen’s Self Storage, was great and took the trailer with no issues. Overall I’m very disappointed with the return process. I wasted two hours of my day driving around to different locations just to drop off my trailer.

Bev SMany factors had a part in creating an overall negative experience for me at this location. 1) The process of checking in the uHaul and checking out took much longer than expected due to the website being hard to navigate & slow internet, so I had to extend my time needed with the uHaul. 2) I ordered a furniture dolly and it wasn't in the uHaul when I arrived. The gentleman didn't even have one at that location and acted like that happens all the time - that is clearly a problem on behalf of your business, not me as the customer. I had to go to Home Depot and rent one which added time on to an already stressful moving day. 3) I had no idea where to put the lock at the end. It told me in the instructions when I checked in that morning, but couldn't find that information anywhere when it was time to check out.

Jan WThe Truck felt like it had an engine issue or misfire of some kind. I also was supposed to receive to hand carts and a furniture cart as well as furniture pads. I received none of it. I am awaiting a refund as I was charged $100 for the truck and equipment which would have been great if I had the equipment. A 4 hour job turned into a 9 hour job. Not using this location again.
Mason PWe had a little trouble surrendering the truck after normal business hours ( brought truck back 8:56 pm) same day as rental. Had to make a few calls to get out of locked gate at facility, but figured it out.

Horrible door trim drivers door I had to buy foot seal to block the noise. Absolutely horrible experience for the money

Mary JThe texting check in is not user friendly - at all. Please improve. It took almost 30 minutes to get the keys to our rental. Your computer system needs upgraded. The facility where we picked up the rental needs upgrading. The office was quite small & cluttered. Customers are staggered for checking in due to the size of the office. Spend some money and make this better for employees and customers. No parking for customers. Fix your gate. Install security cameras at gate.
