Jim was so very helpful. He helped us get all connected and sent us on our way. With a small delay I called to see if I could extend a couple days and Jim took care of extending our contract without making us come back in. This was really convenient for us. When I droppped off I was by myself and my back up skills are not to be trusted fully and he said I’ll hop in and do for ya. He backed it up o to its spot and then unconnected the trailer and said your good to go. Thanks Jim for going above and beyond with your service. Great to know our community has you!!!

Excellent customer service! Clean easy to find location
Patty FI was told I just needed to put it back to half tank which was what it was at when I got it. Nothing about having a milage limit and I'd be charged of I went over the amount. Was charged an additional 52 dollars and was told it was 30 dollars a day for extension on the return date was changed 40 a day overall bad experience and have no heard anything back from the manager

Mark VI turned the vehicle in EARLY, and I mean very early. I rented it for 12 hours I brought it back in less than 4. However I was emailed weekly with notifications saying that I haven't turned in the equipment. When I absolutely did. I spoke with 2 different representatives and the conclusion was that the site manager hadn't checked it in yet. Now maybe something happened to him and he couldn't, I don't know and I certainly hope not, however there should have been a back up plan in place in case such a situation occurred. Especially to reduce the anxiety felt by the customer. U hual in general is a great program and I'm happy to be able to use it but this site isn't very reliable and anxiety inducing.
Jessie Gthe process to get the truck didnt go smooth. It was about the app. and not the location. I had my son as contact and that is all I thought you needed along w/ Drivers license. but then you were requesting an add'l contact ??? I gave you another name and they received a text that you would reach out but you never did? What was the point. While trying to complete the check out process, the odometer reading would not show on my picture because it was digital? it would not let me upload a picture of some scratches on the truck and only allowed me to verify the license plate # and then completed the process. there was only 1/4 tank of gas, I was always under the impression that tank should be full. Checking the truck back in went smooth.

Cheryl STrailer lights didn’t work which is company issue not this location. Person didn’t properly put on trailer so had to fix it before drive off which isn’t a big deal, but could be an issue for those who don’t have the knowledge.

Andrew LThe small town servicr can’t be beat. When we went to pick up trailer I found I didnt have the right towing equipment. He directed me to Fleet Supply snd when I walked in, he was on the phone telling the asdociate I was coming and what I needed. Another location is closer amd more convenient but they didnt have what we needed. This service was so impressive it will be our go to for out ongoing projects.
Debra GI picked up my truck in person 15 minutes before the office closed. The man in the office was rude - he told me I’m lucky I showed up when I did because he was getting ready to leave and then I wouldn’t be able to get a truck. I told him I had a reservation. He said, “I already tuned my computer off” and he reached to turn it back on. While he worked on printing the paperwork I looked around the office. There were six dirty ashtrays in the office and the place smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and propane. Yes. Propane. The U-Haul dealer is a propane vendor, as well. I counted at least three signs that stated, “no smoking” yet…six dirty ashtrays. Safe place. My truck was issued, keys handed to me, and the U-Haul clerk locked the door behind me as I walked out. He left the parking lot before I even found my U-Haul rental truck. I headed home, opened up the cargo area, and was hit in the face by the overwhelming smell of cat urine. It was disgusting!! There was no way this truck was ever inspected upon return from the last customer. The odor permeated everything. I used an enzyme cleaner and spent nearly two hours mopping the cargo area, then sprayed it with Lysol and left the cargo door open to help it air out. None of these things helped. I did not want my belongings to reek of cat pee, and the the U-Haul pick up office was closed, nobody was answering the phone. I called U-Haul customer service and was told I’d receive a new truck and financial compensation for my time and money spent cleaning the truck, and I was instructed to go back to U-Haul to swap the dirty truck for another 15’ truck. I sat in the U-Haul parking lot for 4 hours while various customer service reps tried to figure out how to get me in a new truck. I finally got a manager and he told me U-Haul would not charge me for the miles I drove home & back. I was incredibly frustrated and behind schedule for my move. People were waiting to help me move. I told the customer service manager that the cat pee truck was unacceptable, He told me, with an attitude, “Well, I DID get you a new truck, after store hours, while the office was closed.” I told him, “Every single truck in your lots says “24/7” on it. It took me six hours on the phone to get issued a clean truck. The dirty cat pee truck you gave me NEVER should have left the lot in the first place, so not charging me mileage is not a favor. I lost time and gas driving to and from the dealer TWICE plus the six hours I had designated for loading the truck waiting on the phone while people figure things out. I had four helpers (from out of town) on standby to help me load the truck but couldn’t because it was full of cat urine. My move day has now had to be moved to the next day.” U-Haul issued me a standard $50 reservation refund but that is all. I do not recommend U-Haul as they do not have good customer service nor do they try to make things right for their customers.

Greg HI had to drive 40 miles out of my way to pick it up to start --- because the local Uhaul rep didn't have one. The trailer floor was filthy dirty, the first trailer had a flat tire (thank goodness there was a 2nd trailer), but would think that if you know someone is coming to pick it, you would make sure that it was in proper working order. I was charged for 2 days on a 1 day rental. I was on hold calling Uhaul 1-800-GO-U-Haul (since Stoneman doesn't have a phone # to call listed anywhere) to get it straightened out for 54 minutes until someone answered. Tried the chat option and got no answer there either! ALWAYS make sure that they are charging you the correct amount when you pick it up. Now I need to wait 3-5 days for the correct amount to be returned. I have rented several Uhauls before from other locations and NEVER have had a problem until this one.
Sheri SIf it wasn't for stoneman oil. I wouldn't have gotten a truck. My first location, Greens plumbing in Detroit Lakes didn't have my truck ready. It was a Scrabble to find me a truck. Yuck!! What a headache. Will only rent from Stoneman in Wadena again.
Brian Nthe guy was very rude told him we would have it there in the afternoon sat and ask what time he close in a rude voice he said well im close just drop it off in front his hrs said till one this was around noon i will never rent from him i will go some where else. i ask him if i turn it in 2 days early if there is a refund of some kind due to me turning it in 2 days early when i rented it and had it for 4 days he said no we dont do that.. i said reason i was asking is cause neice moved from texas and got one he said said that is not the case very rude i am ashamed i have rented from uhaul for yrs and never had been treated like this any questions feel free to email me at brianslooking4u@yahoo.com

Matthew JWe were not informed that there was a Highway 10 blockage at the location. We wandered all around the area trying to find the truck, and happened to see it only by chance. We had to take a dirt track beyond the blocked off area to get to the truck. Very poor access and no information in advance. The searching took an hour and really delayed our eventual departure.

bill gGoing from Minnesota to Michigan, you made me purchase 4 days of renting when I only needed 2 days at most. So that was irritating, besides that maybe include a 3 ton winch on some trailers because I hauled a non running vehicle and we used a bobcat to push it on the trailer.
