I added a dolly but it was not in the truck when I obtained it. The U Haul was nice and did the job but there was a bit of trash left over from the last renter. It wasn’t a whole lot but it was there. Despite all this I would recommend to a friend. And had a good experience overall. Luis A. from the Jefferson St. location was also very helpful with my online order. He had a great attitude and was able to get me in and out in no time. Even helping recommend some mattress covers so I didn’t get my bed dirty throughout the move. I would definitely visit this location again just to be helped by him in the future. He had a great positive attitude that radiated throughout the store and made my experience a great one.

not a true UHaul location. There was no one to help attach trailer. It took over an hour to get the trailer because this is a gas station with one attendant.

The interior and windows were so dirty I took it home and cleaned it myself. There was a warning light on the whole time saying the power steering needed to be serviced. The total cost and fees of about $450 were so far beyond the initial charges of about $78 at time of reservation as to be incredibly misleading. The pickup and drop off thru the U-Haul app was slow and time consuming. I would not rent with U-Haul again.

I reserved in Danvers because it was near my home, but Uhaul made me drive to Salem to get the truck. The Salem agent gave me insurance coverage without asking for my consent.

Repurchased blankets not in truck- was told to pick them up a mile away, that U-Haul was very rude and I had to do a whole new contract for $10 and pay again, scan license etc.

The trailer hitch was totally rusty and it didn't fit snuggly on the car hitch we had to drive slowly and carefully 1.5 miles to the U-Haul place in Salem at 43 Jefferson Ave where they replaced the chains and hitch mechanism. The person at Canal St. did not know what was going on and I had to use her cell phone to connect with her husband who was not there and he virtually checked in. Noone was there to help us put the trailer on our car to make sure it was secure. Furthermore, I had originally requested a site in East Gloucester, MA to pick up the trailer that was 10 minutes away from where we were staying, but I was told to go to the 200 Canal St. site to pick up. This added one hour to our morning of picking up the trailer.

This is a gas station, not a uhaul location. Return your truck via phone, take your key and any equipment (I. E. dolly) inside the station.

Terrible customer service. I was ignored by the employee repeatedly. Was of zero help with a reservation issue. Could not be bothered to assist with bringing dollies and blankets to the truck. Do not rent from this location. Better yet - hire movers.

It was quick and easy to pick up and drop off but the vehicle had not been cleaned. There were coffee stains and debris all over the center cup console. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in quite some time. I ended up sick with a head cold after using this vehicle - I can't say I specifically got it from there but...i came on right after using the van all day.

They didn't have the furniture covers I had rented well in advance. Did not really know much if anything about the vehicle other than what it was, 10' truck. How many milles per gallon, tank size. Passenger side door did not close easily. Cabin air vents hardly had any air coming out of them even at high. Do you guys ever change the air filters? My car's 'low' setting is better than the truck's high setting. At least defrost air flow was sufficient to keep the windshield clear.

Snow and ice on the roof of the vehicle was never cleaned off days after it had snowed. Chucks of ice came off the roof as I traveled to my destination. I had to drive extra miles to avoid the highway for the safety of other cars

The drop off location was fine and the staff person in the gas station was helpful. When trying to return the truck through the app, I didn’t get a chance to take photos, there was some leaking inside the cab of the truck and I do not want to get charged for that because it was given to us like that.

I was mind blown that someone thought it was okay to rent out a van covered in shattered glass. I got to the van and the passenger side window was taped over with shares of glass in the seats, floor, dashboard and every cup holder. When I went back in the guy said “oh there was an accident, you won’t be responsible”. I ended up having to vacuum the thing myself on my time and drive into Boston with the world loudest plastic window. If I wasn’t moving or had any other option I would have gone anywhere else and this will be my last time using uhaul unless I receive a refund. What would you have charged me if I returned it full of shattered glass? I bet a lot. Happy to send pictures.

This location is perfectly fine, however, the online 24/7 truck share timing out after the determined pickup time is incredibly inconvenient, and the app did not work very well - the chat window for help kept closing on me and ending conversations, closed during checkout on me, and at one point redirected me to a website where the website then told me to go use the app...very confusing. Everyone I talked to at UHaul was incredibly helpful but the overall experience was infuriating from the start.

The man working that evening kept helping other people walking in to buy items and not finishing closing us out. In addition, my husband asked to wash is hands that had gotten dirty from picking up and moving the trailer over a foot and he just stared at him and ignored the request. We were continuing to drive another two hours after that which is why he wanted to wash his hands. Very annoying and rude.

One person working in convenience store who had poor english skills and was difficult to understand. They photo'd my license and had trouble getting a good image. (Not sure if my information is still on someone's personal phone.) Unprofessional. They just pointed at our trailer and said, "that one". Trailer was beat up and dirty inside. When we got it home we realized that the tires were set to two different pressures (30 and 50 pounds).

My rental was supposed to have a dolly and didn’t. The truck had almost no gas when I picked it up and the staff inside the store did not walk around the truck with us before of after the rental. Very poor service.

Our location for pick up was changed last minute. We arrived at the time we chose to have the pick up, and we had to wait until 10 am for someone to get to the gas station to give us a key. Which normally would be fine, but there was no communication about this. We also rented two dolly’s and the location didn’t have any which again was not communicated at all.

I was too angry at your scheduling people for lying to me and falling just short of calling me a liar to be objective about this location some 17 miles and 30+ minutes from my home. Also be advised location was a convenience store with only the clerk to run the store and the uhaul service at the same time. Online check in was worthless. Still had to go through entire process again on his cell phone. He was courteous and professional.

I paid for an appliance dolly, yet there was no dolly in the uhaul- the orange tie-down straps were there, yet no dolly and was STILL CHARGED FOR IT! The vehicle itself was clean and drove well so will recommend the actual vehicle, I would not recommend the moving essentials, maybe it's just from the location I got my rental. I will edit my review if I get reimbursed for equipment that wasn't there

The trailer had a flat tire when picked up, I had to put air in it myself, I also had to hook up the trailer myself and the trailer had no jack so it was heavy. I had order furniture blanks and none was provided. The worker handling the order needed to repeat the process of checking me out multiple times due to him doing it on his cell phone and he was more concerned with other customers.
