Truck had almost no gas in it -- truck shifted into low gear and would not shift back up -- had to go several miles out of my way because in low gear I couldn't use the hiway- battery kept going flat-- had to put a charger on it several times-- people at uhaul office threatened me with arrest because I was 2 days late Fuck you people- I will never use uhaul again and I'm contemplating legal recourse

John Waiteyour phone app doesn't work. I spent 1 hour and 23 minutes on the phone with several people before I finally got someone high enough to give me the combination to the lock box for the truck key. never again. it is not the location operator's fault. gps just doesn't work everywhere.

sandy smithOur local office could keep loading straps in stock for purchase. When I made the reservation, the person who helped me said that there may or may not be a 26’ truck available on the day of my pick up. That was confusing because my reservation was for a 26’ truck. Since we absolutely had to have that size for our move, I had to call the main U-Haul number to check if that was the case and assure myself I would have the right size. I didn’t understand why our local U-Haul store couldn’t affirm be sure of the size. Everything else was amazingly smooth and easy.

Brian AndertonRecommend snow removal from roof of U-Haul. Had a foot of snow on top of truck. Some fell off when I went over a bump in the road and smashed in front of the windshield with a loud noise. Very scary, as I was driving in town and had to quickly clear the snow with the wipers so I could see! Otherwise, U-haul experience was very good.

Gail SiveyBe organize. Have the customer's paper work ready when you open. Be able to operate the computer software or have someone in the office who can assist the person on the computer until they are comfortable with the software.
kim fisherNot told there was a mileage charge when making appointment just a daily charge. When went to pick up was told it would be a dollar a mile and that is how it always is at that location. Went home went on Internet for that location is put in for an appointment and it did say there would be a mileage charge but it was only $.79/mile. Very disappointed with this level of service.

Kevin EnglehardtI was lied to about the truck. It had serious issues. The staff was not concerned and lied to me. The customer service manager Kystal Polle was rude and only wished to end the call not solve the problems. Scott the reginal manager was rude and inslutting to me and accted ad if I was wasting his time with my issues. He then insulted me with a 20 dollars gift card to u haul. When I declined the card he acted as if the condition of the truck was my fault and u haul was not responsible for the condition of their equipment. Stating that I should have called tge service. The company miss led me the price of the rental. And i was told we don't care. When ask what I would consider fair reimbursed I was told 20 or nothing. If this is how u haul treats customers they should be ashamed. This is the last time i will ever use any u haul products or services.

Jerry KeatingI was unfortunately overcharged due to some mistakes made when I picked up and dropped off the vehicle. I only needed the U-Haul for a few hours on Saturday and was asked to pick up the keys early (one day early on Friday) because no one was available at the rental company on Saturday. I was told that I would only be charged for one day (the day of actual use) but I was charged an extra day anyway, even though the vehicle was returned by 5pm Saturday as agreed to. I was also charged SafeMove coverage automatically, which I had not agreed to. I have used U-Haul quite a few times over the years and have never had this happen.
june GallowayI was not told why she wanted how many miles I would drive. I told her 3 miles to and from my house, then just moving into house next door. Less than 10. She said best to list high than low and was 20 more than enough. I said yes, NOT knowing she was charging $.99 per mile. She also did not ask if I had my own insurance. Now that's 2 charges, one $19.80 and one $14.00 charged to me without my knowledge. When I saw it upon returning,with only 7 miles put on the vehicle, she would not make any changes and said to contact you folks. Well, we were in the middle of preparing for a full house move and I just now put my computer together and had the time to let you know how rude she was. Not even an I'M sorry for the misunderstanding. Have told this story all over town. Her training needs to improve. I would like some sort of credit. I might have taken the ins. if explained to me, but she never said a word. Very bad customer service. Roberta Hoover
Roberta HooverEveryone involved in our U-Haul experience were cautious, helpful and willing to help in any way. The truck, vehicle transporter and 6x12 trailer performed as expected. Drop off in Sequim, WA was easy and Dwight was very accommodating.

Charles SaddlerI am furious with Uhaul in Mccall I won't recommend them to anyone. I was also helped to find a truck by your office in Boise and they were very nice and helpful I had my movers pick up the truck in Mccall and it only had 1/4 tank of gas. They didn't think it would be enough so they stopped and filled the truck up and I reimbursed them for $80.00. I asked for a reimbursement after it was taken back and was told that U-Hauls policy doesnt reimburse for gas. I said you mean I have paid for my gas and that of the next person who uses this truck and he said Yep! This is a lousy way to do business and a terrible way to treat seniors. No more Mccall U-haul for me or anyone I know. I was really taken advantage of . Glenda Sampley.
WILLIAM SAMPLEYtruck was low on fuel to drive all the way to Boise and the cab was very dirty inside with dust and crumbs and it took at least 45 minutes once we got in the office to get us on the road after we called the number on the door and waited about 15 minutes at 10:15 am when we had already set up the reservation in Emmett ahead of time. the original pick up location in Cascade had the truck we noticed on their lot we were supposed to be renting on the lot and it was very inconvenient to have to drive all the way to McCall even though Uhaul did allow additional mileage...
STUART BARRETTDrop off was super simple. We were charged a very different price for the one we'd been quoted, but after talking with UHaul, that was an issue with the pick-up location (in Wenatchee, WA). Our issues with UHaul, though, were not reflected by this location.
MATT STEBBINSTrailer had 2 tires with very low pressure and electrical wires were severed. I was pulled over by sheriff for improper lighting. Paid for 24 pads and a dolly. They were not present when I took the vehicle. A mountain bike and sunglasses were left in vehicle. When I called to remedy the issue, store was closed. I left a message and have yet to hear back. This location...stor-it in McCall Idaho absolutely worst I've ever dealt with!! Fire them!
WESLEY HARDINDid not have the unit i reserved. The unit was very dirty inside and out, had to wash the winshield right after I left the parking lot. There was no windshield washing fliuid in the truck. The truck was very smokey smelling. I had to drive with the windows down most of the trip. If there would have been a different option, I would have cancelled my reservation and done something different.
