The employees were rude. My pickup time was 10am. At 10:30 they called asking when I was going to be there. I was already on the way and felt rushed for no reason. Bad attitudes, not friendly.
RICK Nthe A/C kept shutting off while I was driving, along with the vent. Not good for summer driving. The App. kept kicking me off every time I tried to use it to return the truck. So I had to call in the 1-800 number to have them put things in the notes of the truck.

Brooks RI was unable to complete my reservation online but received a text providing a number to call. Cassandra was my agent and did a great job collecting the information needed to make the reservation. At the store, Conrad had the truck ready and quickly got me on my way. Very good experience!
Steve DOrange key drop box was not available, and since it was after hours, I kept the key so it wouldn’t get stolen. The guy at the actual storage location was friendly but the U-Haul representative was curt on the phone. Not a good drop-off experience overall
Katerina MFix the app. It is ridiculous to have an app that refuses to upload photos that are required to move forward in the check out process. I will not be scammed out of $20 to have another person do my check out because your app is not functioning as it is advertised. That is robbery and I can not state how displeased I was with this process. And that is ignoring being on hold for 30+ minutes trying to get a hold of someone while I had to troubleshoot other methods on my own so I didn't incur a late fee. Absolutely pathetic and miserable.
Reagan BThe after hours drop off was very confusing. There is not a drop off area for the keys and the app would not let me get a code for the lock at the drop off location. A key drop would have solved my issue.
Nicholas PTruck was clean and location was fine, but Truck Share process was a total mess. I picked up and dropped off after hours, which was a mistake. When picking up both the app and website wouldn’t give me the “Pickup” button, so I had no choice except to get on a 45-minute callback list and come back later. When I came back maybe 30 minutes later it worked. Dropping off was actually worse as when I got to the last page of the process the app generated a “Rate the app” pop up, which I dismissed, and it took me back to the apps starting screen. The problem was that the code to the lockbox had been on that final screen, and it forced me ahead before I clicked to reveal the code. So I had a truck that was fully dropped off according to U-Haul, but I still had the keys. I waited hold for 40 minutes with the 1-800 number before managing to connect with an agent on the chat (which took multiple tries), and that agent told me I needed to call a different number. After about 25 minutes on hold with this second number I was connected and could finally return the keys. Super obnoxious.
Christian ACan't think of anything. But in the big picture of things it was much nicer back in the old days when we just filled in some paper work, signed our name and drove away. What the heck do people do who don't have an iPhone?

Marlin HThe pickup process was terrible for me. I was stuck outside the uHaul location for more than 2 hours in 90 degree heat, trying to contact customer service on two different phones. Wait times were over and hour. The website would allow me to sign in and view my reservation, but not complete the checkout process. Even after speaking to a customer service representative (the first time), the website still wouldn't process my check out. The AI chat feature kept saying my additional contacts weren't answering the security call, but they never received any calls from uHaul. I will never use uHaul again.

Heidi JOnline pickup did not function properly. Our pickup was delayed. Personnel at this location overcharged by more than $300 and lacked plausible explanation for the increased charges. UHaul personnel at our destination identified the error and worked to resolve the situation. Probably the worst UHaul experience for formerly loyal customers at this Boise location.

Kenneth KPicked up a new (5450 miles) 15 foot box van that was awesome! What a pleasure to drive something clean and new for the half day we needed it. We used it to move a new sofa and love seat from the showroom to our house in case there was inclement weather. Our total cost was about $65 compared to paying $200 to have two guys and a truck move it for me. We could not be happier with our experience!
Jay WReturned truck to address on the form and spent 30 minutes looking for key drop box and never did find it. Still had to drive another 130 miles after dropping off the truck. Called and no one could help.
Ray QI'm not sure how we could have returned to the States from Canada without UHaul. While on a road trip through Canada, our travel trailer and P/U truck were totaled by an tractor trailer on TC-1. So, my wife, dog, and I rented a UHaul to get us all, plus our personal items home. Mary was very sympathetic to our plight.

Cindy SIt was not a UHaul facility, but a storage unit company. The vehicle was clean, in appearance, but, throughout the trip (Boise to Colorado) the truck had difficulty with inclines. It was as if I were accelerating and braking at the same time, resulting in much higher fuel consumption. My mechanic suggested a problem with the plugs; which should have been checked prior to rental. The fuel costs far exceeded the estimates for the pre-planned distance; especially while strictly adhering to the UHaul "GREEN" guideline.
katrine kI rent a lot of uhaul. I always return them cleaned out. I always fuel them up. Sometimes even paying it forward for exceptional service, with way more fuel. The sales rep in Boise, never did the walk around nor mileage check with My brother nor I. I looked around and besides all of the mud on it and smelling like an ashtray, it looked fine. Upon returning the one way rental, I was charged a 110.00 cleaning fee. I purchased 100 dollars in insurance from uhaul. Was not involved in any accidents, never went off of asphalt. Why I am penalized for being a courteous customer?
Joseph LI wanted to add insurance to my order. The way your site is set up, the agent was not able to do this despite calling a coworker, who was unable to help, and then calling Uhaul which was able to help after an extended period of time on the phone. We were there for a pickup a few minutes after nine, and I am pretty sure it was 10 by the time we were able to leave. The person working was very attentive, cheerful and helpful, the truck was great, but your computer program is very difficult to navigate at times.

Ali MWhen I made my reservation by phone through the U-Haul system, the customer service person told me she was at the location where I was going to pick up the U-Haul rental. While she was cordial, she blatantly lied about this fact. The local location staff person was very helpful.

MICHELLE RThe vehicle was at the location, but nobody was at the Stor It Office to meet us at 9:30am, our scheduled pick-up time. The sign on the office said open 9am-4pm, I would recommend changing the sign if this is not the case. After making several phone calls to the numbers listed on the store window, someone from another office came down. It seems like there needs to be more organization in the scheduling process - if someone is scheduled to pick up a vehicle at a certain location and time, an attendant should be present to handle the pick up...it IS a business after all. It is extremely inconvenient to plan on pick up at a certain time and have to wait an hour for someone to arrive.
