I do not agree with a $30 fuel charge. I put 51 miles on the truck and then put 5 gallons of gas back in. There's no way that the gauge was read correctly (perhaps before it rented it)craig S.

We were unaware that the pads were rental pads. When we got them we assumed that we were buying them and they did not discuss this with us and just told us that the tides were in the truck. Then when we returned the car and we didn't even use the pads we had thrown the pads out and then I didn't find out until a few days later that the pads were rentals and I was charged over $80 for the pads. My biggest issues with renting a uhaul at this location were a couple things. First, when I arrived it said that uhaul location was open on Saturday, but when I tried to go into the building the doors were locked. To compound the issue I requested an appliance dolly & when I open the back of my rental truck I only see a utility dolly. Not only could I have this issue immediately fixed at uhaul location (I did a pick-up via mobile for rental truck), but it compromised our ability to move a fridge that I was picking up that day because the size of the utility dolly is not well-suited for a 28 cu ft. fridge, hence why I reserved an appliance dolly. I'd much rather wait an additional 15-20 minutes to get the right equipment than have to use "less than" equipment that could have caused problems/damage to the fridge and/or place we picked up the fridge from. This was by far my most frustrating experience at a uhaul location and I've rented from at least 5 different locations around Columbus and have used a uhaul truck 10+ times in the past 4-5 years. If the uhaul location has hours that says they're open, but the doors are locked, that's a ding. The fact that I could not get the right equipment because they provided the wrong kind of dolly is another huge ding for me. Only reason why I used this uhaul location was because of the convenience of it only being maybe a mile or two from where I picked up the fridge, but probably won't rent from this location again.Dwayne Travon B.

Picking up the truck through online was a disaster. Our reservation was not set up for after hours pick up - even though the day before I contacted the uhaul office to verify reservation. We spent over an hour and a half with chat to correct online access to release the truck. Hold time for phone assistance was 45 minutes. This delayed our moving and added additional cost to our movers.Jon S.

Why?!? Why have you emailed me my Uhaul Rental Contract Agreement 8 times!!! Eight! I still received another one of them this morning! Don't get me wrong it's nice to have documentation of my rental but with the confirmation and the request for review I think I'm up to 12 emails on a single rental. I can hit â€œdeleteâ€ on these emails pretty easily but being the cautious person that I am I always feel the need to check to see if there's new or relevant informationâ€¦but no, it's the same damn email time-after-time. Uhaul is a great service and valueâ€¦just don't take up residency in my inbox.LYLE B.
The van was filthy when I picked it up. There was mud all over the driver side floor and interior. The back was not cleaned and it smelled horrendous. I would have refused the rental, but the location did not have any replacements. I had to use a tremendous amount of air freshener and run with the windows open. The clerk was friendly and helpful, but I will be very hesitant to rent again.Keith M.
The van I ordered didn't include the dolly I also ordered. I had to return after they opened to get the dolly. The van also had a lot of mud in it. That didn't bother me except I didn't want to get charged for it so I had to check out in person so as not to get charged $25 cleaning fee. The app is awesome and makes it easy to pick up and return. Only issue we had was van had 1/2 tank of bass when we picked up. We returned it that way and we're charged a gas fee.Anne O.
The online and phone customer service for UHaul is absolutely awful. I had my request changed multiple times and then cancelled the day before the move. It is difficult to find a person who can actually be helpful over the phone. The people at the pick up location were great though and the van worked out well.Ian G.

They did not have the appliance dolly that I requested but did have a smaller dolly. Also, I registered online and confirmed registration prior to my arrival. When I got there they had to enter my info again and I did not receive a code to get the key out of the lock box. The storage rep was frustrated with uhaul and had to call customer service. Then the on site storage rep and customer service rep got into an argument on the speaker phone. Finally, I had to tell them to argue another time and just get me my truck. I was delayed 30-45 minutes and the online reservation and prior arrival check-in appeared worthless.Michael W.
My original reservation was for a location that is well staffed and has hundreds of positive reviews. A day before my pick-up, UHaul sent a message telling me my truck would be at this location instead. I arrived to pick up the truck, and saw a lone truck in the parking lot in front of a Storage Unit business. I went into the office and the lone clerk informed me that she COULD help me, but she would PREFER that I did everything for myself on the on-line app, and then I could get the keys for myself out of the lockbox outside and she would not have to be involved. Given that she was refusing to help me, I had no choice but to use the online phone app. Using that poorly designed app to fill out forms on a phone is tedious, slow, and it locked up several times. Eventually it took the info, then told me that I needed to provide more information, giving me choices including things such as passport information, or contact information for two individuals â€œin case I did not return the truckâ€. I have rented cars and trucks on numerous occasions and have never been asked for such extensive or personal information. Since I needed the truck and was there and already committed to the reservation, I had no choice but to comply. The app then told me to wait while my rental information was â€œreviewedâ€. I sat for 10 minutes waiting for this reviewal process to compete. Nothing happened, so I used the chat function on the app and was connected to someone who I am confident was not in North America. At the same time, my girlfriend who was with me and whom I listed as one of my contacts, received a phone call from someone from UHaul who was definitely NOT in North America to confirm she knew me. After this, the app finally â€œapprovedâ€ me, and told me to go inside and get the key from the clerk who originally refused to help me. She was surprised she had the key, but managed to find it and hand it over. She then turned away and offered no further help. I then had to go back to the app to finish inspecting the truck using the app to confirm mileage, gas level, etc. The app provided very fuzzy pictures of the truck that purportedly showed existing damage to the vehicle, and directed me that I had to confirm the accuracy of those fuzzy pictures, or potentially be liable for damage when I dropped the truck off. Luckily the truck did not have damage that needed further documentation. With these steps completed, the app then showed me as checked in and free to go. So there I was with a set of keys, a truck with 3/8ths of a tank, and no paperwork whatsoever indicating that I had legally rented the vehicle. Everything about this encounter SCREAMS that both this location owner, and UHaul, hold the customer in contempt and can't be bothered with them. I would certainly never do business with this location again, and since UHaul would rather I deal with an app than a human, I will look to every other truck rental company first before I rent another truck from them.Gregory D.

The U-Haul protocols for covid were NOT followed. The vehicle was not ready at 9 am for pickup so your guarantee was not met. I order moving blankets and none were provided. I would like a 50 percent refund.RICHARD K.
