Person here tried without success to get me the allowed miles for my trip. Was 46 miles short before I even left. In times past I was allowed 3 days for the same trip now it's only 2. No criticism of the woman running this place, she tried to help me but had to go along with what the home office decreed.

The location is way out of the way of the bigger towns. $19.95 advertising for truck rental is very misleading. $1.00 per mile in addition is outrageous, especially when gas is not included! And then to have an additional charge to return to a different location! This will make me re-think renting a U-Haul again. Great concept, but too expensive.

The "Corp. Staff" kept changing the drop off location on me until I put my foot down. This location had limited morning hours on Sat. and not open on Sunday. Fortunately U-Haul has the remote check-in process which saved me from going way out of my way to drop off the trailer. The online check in procedure was a bit confusing to start with for a senior, but I was able to finally figure it out. Then it went smoothly.

If using this location make sure that if they're open and the doors locked you call the number on your contract. Personnel not always on location. We didn't know this and we were there for a half an hour trying to figure out how we are going to drop off our truck because their online system would not hook up to my phone to verify I was at the correct location.

The trailer return process would not work on my Android phone. It would not recognize my location even though location services were confirmed to be on. We had to use an iPhone.

The owner of this location was extremely helpful. She is on location and had us hooked up and ready to go in seconds. Very friendly and even allowed us to leave a vehicle there for a short period of time until we returned the trailer. Will go out of my way to use this location for any and all future needs!!!

They did not know I was coming and didn't have the moving cart and pads loaded. Not sure this was their fault though. When I called they were very responsive and helpful.

Charged for cleaning? i am not aware of anything that needed cleaning. I thought the truck was returned as it was given to me. and that is clean! not sure why I was charged for it?

My experience booking the truck was very difficult. The first over the phone booking, was for all intents was worthless. I had to follow up on a call to get the correct truck , and time. I tried to book on the web site and it kept timing out.

Not overcharge me on my bill !!! Okay so I was charged $118.00. before I drove off with the vehicle then when I checked it in I was charged another hundred and $118.00I should have only been charged an additional $40 for the additional mileage

Make sure you look at your paperwork. I had a reservation made online 2 weeks prior to pick up which I declined the additional insurance, but the office manager took it upon himself to add it without asking. Glad I caught it before I walked out the door.

I was very happy with Shellrock I was unhappy I had to drive 45 mins out of my way to rent their because I live in Charles City but they said my truck was not able to tow a trailer but yet this my 3rd time with no issues with shellrock I don't understand what Charles City issue is except that they just don't want business

I specifically went online to get an idea on cost and picked everything out. It ended up costing me $75 more than the online price was. Definitely will not rent Uhaul again......

This was a bad experience. Little to no cell reception, making the self checkout very difficult. Equipment that I rented was not in the truck - had to call in to get instructions. Didn't have the right number of blankets. Process took way too long. No one there to help me. I'm going to avoid renting Uhaul in the future.

Location hard to find. Very difficult to contact company by phone(nearly impossible)! Never got a final receipt because I could not connect online when returning trailer. Had to do a chat online to let someone know trailer had been returned on time.

The website was down when I got there, so it was very difficult to rent the truck. The customer service agent said it had been slow the last two days. I waited ten minutes while the customer ahead of me checked out. Then it took half an hour to check out myself. Also, I had selected mobile pickup but was unable to use it because I had no internet connection. No Wi-Fi was offered and the location was remote enough that I did not have access to my mobile data.

Having an issue with charges. Was charged for an extra day on the truck and trailer after speaking with the person at the drop off site about it. Told as long as it was there by the end of the day that there would be no charge. Also got billed for a clean up which was folding u-haul blankets which we never order but were in the truck when we picked up but never knew until we arrived at our destination for loading
