This location closed at noon. I got there at 1 PM on Friday, Sep 9 (a day earlier than scheduled), but no one was there. The gas was full, the truck cleaned, and the blankets folded (one used one set). WHo closes at noon?James W.

Chris was friendly, kind and helpful. Explained everything to me and how I could drop the truck back after hours if I finished early. I was able to drop it back early and when I got up the next day I already had the emails where the truck had been checked back in and my final bill. I was 40 mint late because my dother graduaciÃ³n and they give away the truck I reserved withou notice at least a call ???Edisel H.
We got a truck reserved months before and they kept checking on us if they would have one at all for us. Then finally the night before we got a call from the reservation team after thinking we got screwed in to a 15 ft even though we really needed a 26ft truck. We were told they found one near us and they booked it for us. And that morning we went in and signed in and paid for the truck and waited outside the U-Haul store and then we were told that they did not have a truck for us after we already paid and I literally just said on my online order that they did. And they have three trucks that we could have used. From my understanding after running around town and speaking with other employees from other U-Haul stores and the reservation team, it basically sounds like the store we went to changed it on us after reservation booking it the night before and we booked months out. And they make a huge mistake and we got screwed and no one would make it right and give us back the truck we paid for and the U-Haul employee who made the mistake was a jerk to us and refused to change the booking back. And I feel like the reservation team also could have stepped in and over road the decision but they chose not to. So because of the horrible scheduling that was constantly changing and leaving us with out a U-Haul and the lies and rude, plain horrible customer service we got for the most part I will never use or recommend U-Haul to anyone. JJ's U-Haul in Leander Texas off Crystal Falls should be run by a whole new team or shut down they are very rude and he did not even check his log or talk to us much more then somewhat shouting at us about how he doesn't have a truck for us. And I believe he was the one who changed it after the fact that we paid and he had no right to so that to us. He fucked us and he was the worst customer service I've ever delt with in my life. U-Haul as a whole sucks at scheduling and struggles with customers service. The Round Rock location we ended up going to were much more polite and helpful. And the New Braunfels location we returned it to also we awesome. But all stores in the Leander/Cedar Park and reservation sucked!!!! We will never use this company again!!!! You need to work out your customers service very much. And also your scheduling is also horrible doesn't work and is always a unclear and never correct. And one last thing if a U-Haul truck is not available anywhere near someone and the made the appointment months in advance and they are going to have to drive hours away and possibly make many trips because of U-Haul's inability to get the correct size truck you should comp them some amount of gas and toss some free blankets in or something. We didn't get any of those items either so that was not okay that we couldn't get anything to help us move. Thank you for your time reading my messages, if you actually read this.Ben H.

Literal worst experience anyone wants to go through while moving. Moving is stressful enough and renting a moving vehicle should be super easy. There's multiple issues with the app, the attendant on duty said they couldn't help, and it look 20 minutes each time to check out and return the truck. I will never use U-Haul again and I will tell everyone I know to go else wear. The app needs serous fixing and so does the companies process bc it's terrible. Just absolutely a horrible experience.Crista K.

Location was fine, vehicle was fine. The pricing suckedâ€¦ the app and the sign in process and the stupid constant security verification codes were beyond sucky and frustrating. And you guys pulled a really stupid fast one on me and decided that a picture of my ID wasn't enough (as it had been many times before)â€¦.. now you have to call someone of MY choosing to verify that I was renting a vehicle? WTF? You guys act like I was tryin to rent a freakin f-16 or something. Completely a waste of blurb of our times and ridiculousâ€¦. I'll probably find an easier method for renting a moving vehicle, somewhere else. That was really stupid and I'm not happy about it.Eric Y.

The uhaul application was terrible. I had to use my daughter's iPhone to return the truck because it wouldn't attach pictures on my android. I have no idea what I would have done if I hadn't had access to an iPhone. That was a bit concerningTim W.

I don't own a pet and I'm not paid to clean up after the previous renter. I was nervous I would get charged a cleaning fee because the cab of the truck was covered in long gray dog hair. This location needs to do better to make sure it's cleaned before the next customer rents it, especially when they usually end up at a different location. Also I'm not allergic but someone else may very well be.GLYNNIS S.

Ask customer if they know how to return equipment using mobile services versus in person when returning equipment after the office is closed. I am an older woman that relies a bit more on face-to-face customer service, and my goofy self erroneous parked the rental truck and dropped the key in the box before learning that I had to submit return information from my mobile. I ended up calling the U-Haul 800 number, but wait time was too long, so I figured out how to chat online with U-Haul customer service and representative told me that she would notify Round Rock U-Haul of my error. The cab of this truck was dirty. The windshield was dirty with bugs. It was free of debri, but coffee stains inside and around cup holder and a trail of drops on floor board around the driver seat. I'm assuming, but it did not seem sanitized.CARLOS J.

Picked up on a Sunday so location not open to inspect truck. Previous renters had left it trashed beyond belief. We have rented from Storagemax many times before and have no doubt they would have provided an alternative had they been open to do so.Damian K.

I was surprised to find out this was a 24 hour self service place, I received a text with a link and could only get half way thru the check-in process. Finally after about 20 minutes i downloaded the U-Haul app and went 100% better. I think your text should have said you need to download app, (the link on the text was stuck at verifying my location). I hated the experience at first but once I was finished it was OKMAX B.

The cabin area was not as clean as it should have been! I used 7 clorox wipes just on the steering wheel. I had to clean windows inside and out. Looked like the door windows had been licked on by pets. Altogether I used 27 clorox wipes in the cabin. The cargo area was dirty and smelled. I had to clean that out and sprinkle the floor with freshener. If you're in a pinch think long before using this place. I spent an hour and forty-five minutes or more to clean this truck before it was usable. I had filled the fuel tank 7/8 full, and got no credit towards my bill for that. I wasn't able to use the truck after all that work, because the storage place had electrical issues. IPercy M.

The pick up process was a nightmare. First this place keeps odd hours and therefore nobody was around on a Wednesday afternoon? I realize we live in different times but come on! The online process of picking up was not user friendly or was it quick. Rather have gone to the counter and picked up, but then again not open on a Wednesday afternoon. Also when placing my reservations online charged me for items that i did not request (hand trucks and dolly). So after going through the online process and i finally get the keys, the truck is found! Yahoo, not so fast! The truck is sandwiched between two others. It took us another 30 minutes just to get the truck out and then we had to back the truck into busy traffic bc it was the only way to get the truck off the lot. All in all it took an hour just to pick up the truck! In the past when people worked it took a typical 20-25 minutes.Rod B.

Your "online" system for picking up and dropping off the UHaul didn't work. Both times, I would begin the process, and wait for the system to respond, but a response never came. Luckily, someone was on-site to help me "offline".dana B.

I rented a dolly with my truck which was not there. For some reason with U-Haul online the location option was a little weird here and it took about 35 minutes just to get everything sorted out to get the info to access the truck. Me and two other parties were there all trying to figure it out. We finally did but seems like since it was early maybe information wasn't available, not sure, and not sure if it would be fair to blame it specifically on this location. Also, I am not sure if it was just because of how I did my rental, but having to return to this location was brutal on my move, I am used to being able to return the truck to any location. Again, I am unsure if this was my mistake in how I scheduled it, and it may not be unique to this location, but if it is I wish there could be a big red flag telling me som before I made the reservation. Reservation changed to self check-out without consultation with me. Not a single person on-site at the pickup location; connecting to the phone rep took quite a bit of time. The app for self check-out worked fine, but required all the work to be done by me. A good deal of this work could have been done ahead of time, and did not need to be done on-site. The truck assigned to us was a high mileage truck, loud engine, and zero shock-absorbers left. Very rough ride. I would look for a different provider next time for my move.Victor M.
