I am not happy at all with this or the past few uhaul experiences....I was overcharged and charged for 2 days when I actually only had it one day. I ended up having multiple transactions drafted from my account without my consent. I will not be using Uhaul in the future .Denise S.

The receptionist was very rude after she failed to give check in & check out protocol. She was late & therefore substituted the truck I initially reserved because it was one that had been returned and inspected .. so She said! The truck had a bad gas leak. Another customer complained about not being able to remove the gas cap. Thorough inspections need to take place, I don't understand why they aren't when we, as customers, have to do so much to return themChanteira G.

The agent was rude and abrasive and did not care to apply any discounts or listen to what I was saying. She kept saying â€œthis is how U haul does it, this is all I knowâ€. She didn't help to reduce my price. Too much gas was put in by accident. I feel I should get a $40 refund back. Apply my AAA discount etc. I felt I was overcharged. I rented two trucks at the same time. My discount should have been applied. I was not happy with that agent.Laura R.

First, I was called to be told the location did have a truck, so I had to go further away. Yes, I did get an upgrade, but the roof of the U haul leaked, The hand truck and shipping blanks were placed in the truck which is in the way ( I did not request them). I was charged for the shipping blanks even though I did not remove the green tag or request them. The mobile app failed on me at pick up, so 20 minutes later I finally get a call to have it reset ( The mobile process itself is good, but the fact it locked me out without any type of notice that I need to call was the problem. When I checked the truck back in, I was asked to show a picture of the mileage and fuel, and it took more than 4 for me to get the receipt just to find out there are extra charges. I don't have time to dispute 20 bucks. For me, it wasn't the best experience I have had with U haul.Gregory S.

I made two separate reservations. Neither was available when I arrived. The lady at First choice auto sales was very rude and unprofessional. Then once I did find a truck, they wouldn't honor the 19.95 .59 per mile that was stated online. If I can help it I would never rent from uhaul again.Quentin Y.
U-haul phone/online check-in was not working. This led to EVERY customer having the impossible task of trying to upload their driver's license images upon check-in. There should ALWAYS be a paper option with a scanner at the store. Elderly customers were frustrated, and tech saavy customers alike. Weekends/end of month/beginning of month upgrades is poor planning, which makes for delays and frustrated customers. The counter associate was as helpful as possible, within her limited capacity to help, due to the limitations of the system. The facility was nice and the associate was pleasant, but the truck "approval" pictures (to complete check-in process) did not seem to be recent pictures of the truck. There were a lot more dents/dings that had to be documented. This process cut into my four hour rental time with more delays uploading these pictures.kathy M.

Horrific. They irresponsibly (and possibly illegally) rented me an auto transport without any safety chains of any kind and refused to accept responsibility for not seeing that this is their issue. Instead, the owners just told me to go to the main Uhaul place on Gray Highway in Macon to fix it myself (mind you - they told me to take the transport on the HIGHWAY without any chains). This is a terrible and shameful experience as the manager on Gray highway informed me that this is a huge liability on the customer (killing someone or being pulled over by DOT) and a problem that STORE HOUSE should have addressed while I was on the property. I was informed that the auto transport should have never left their property in this condition and the store should have addressed this for me. Pure laziness at best and taking advantage of a customer with little time and knowledge of the possible liability and safety hazard just so they could get the sell.John W.

Allow Senior Citizens to leave the dolly in the back of the truck. I was told that I had to take the dolly out the truck and bring it inside the store. I was by myself and could barely get the dolly out the truck. It was heavy and I have a bad back. I hit my shin trying to get it out and bruised myself terribly. This is not feasible to ask your customers to do this. I had dropped off my helpers as I thought all I had to do was turn the truck in as usual with the dolly in the back.Rosetta B.
CSR didn't know how to add additional driver, I reserved 5 dozen furniture pads. When I get there, there are none. Call customer service, wait on hold for 20 minutes. She takes my card info and sends me to another location in town. I arrived and they had no blankets so while on hold for another 20 minutes I drive to my 3rd uhaul location. They only had 2 dozen pads. I was charged additional mileage fees for going over my mileage allowance.CHRISTOPHER M.

The truck I rented was not available. They offered me a second truck, not the size I ordered. However there was none of the equipment available in the second truck. The pick up location was unprepared. We had to travel to 2 more location and were never able to connect to customer service. In order to move on the day we planned we had to pay extra fees and complete change our plans to accommodate uhaul. We will not be using uhaul again.CHARLES W.

The online return was very difficult to complete with an iPhone. It wouldn't read the location so it wouldn't check the truck in. After finally reaching a person on the 1-800 number, they did resolve the problem.SANDRA M.

Although the truck was clean, it reaked of cigarette smoke and I'm allergic to smoke plus I have Asthma. It was the only truck available. I tried the online checkout/pickup, but the program didn't run well and eneded up going inside to process my pick up. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.Chastity C.
On drop off I called facility phone number and spoke to with a manger of the storage facility. He acknowledged that I was dropping off the uhaul truck and stated that he would email the uhaul manager that I had dropped off the vehicle. I put furniture pads in the cab and Locked it up. Shannon called me today and was not nice to me. Ugly actually. I don't care about the $20. But, if I call a number and someone answers and says they acknowledge me turning in the vehicle, then as a customer, that means I've done what I'm supposed to do. Your employee has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. She was very rude to me and accused me of not following her instructions from the previous day It was not me because I rented the truck multiple days and had not ever met her. This woman is ruining your business by stereotyping and pre judging minority customers that helps to pay your bills. This person is hurting your business. Hire friendly people and not the rude lady that was there. I want a refund because she was very rude to me and uhaul customer service. Nobody should be treated that way. If I dnt get a refund I will fill out a complaint form on BBB on this location and uhaul.Talmadge S.
The lady working at the return location was extremely rude. She yelled at me for not wearing a mask. She yelled, â€œIf you aren't wearing a mask I can't help you.â€ I didn't think I was going to be able to return the truck on time because of her. Only after persistently telling her I had to return the truck did she let me. She told me that I could leave the keys on the mat at the door and she would get them later. It was a very bad experience and a poorly maintained location. I will never go there again and I may use Penske instead of Uhaul next time fully because of this drop of location.Eric H.
Location did not have appliance dolly or blankets that I reserved. When manager called me to inform me, she asked if a hand truck or furniture mover would work. I asked her to confirm my understanding of those two items by describing them and she confirmed I was correct in understanding them. I did not ask for them in fact I said okay those won't work. She put them on my invoice and we had to go through removing them twice. First she removed the hand truck. And then assumed I wanted to furniture mover; I did not. Had to redo that also. Final bill showed furniture mover still on the invoice. To improve for future customers, don't make assumptions, confirm their wishes and ask questions if you are not certain; or even if you are.Joseph B.
