I chose to pick and drop off via the U-Haul app. I gave my best estimate on how long I would need the truck. I ran over by a few hours, as probably most moves do. Someone called my wife from the rental office and was extremely rude to her and told her I would be charged an additional day. I was charged the additional day because I brought the vehicle back after the office closed, even though I was returning the vehicle via the U-Haul app and an attendant would not be required for pick up or drop off. My family has rented from U-Haul many times over the past 8 years specifically. We have not experienced this type of experience previously. In the past we have had very positive customer service experiences.
