Jeffrey WOur U-Haul truck was behind a locked gate. Took over a half an hour and a call to the U-Haul helpline to do the pick up.
David FAbsolutely rude and the lady blamed me for the van looking dirty when i told her i have pictures to show that it looked like this when i got it she completely dismissed me. Not only will i NOT ever recommend uhaul, i will absolutely look for other services to use the next time i need to move or help my family and friends move. It pisses me off that i spent my hard earned money there. Won’t make that mistake again.

STEPHEN FLet me start off and say thank you . However, faulty brakes on truck and the death shake at 40 was how it started. After 6 hours and I was back loading truck again. They sent mechanic over and placed truck out of service to be towed. The good news, I had a new truck to use.

JENNIFER LTruck was fine, but I had to use the live chat feature to get the gate code in order to get to the truck. That should have been provided in the instructions. Additionally, it would be nice to have a Bluetooth option on the radio and an ez pass equipped on the trucks just in case.
Jacqueline GThere are multiple UHaul locations in Culpeper. This one is the newest, most secure, and well-equipped. A safe, clean place to rent vehicles or storage.
STUART CNothing really comes to mind. A pleasant experience. There were two things that I would relay to potential renters. 1. The van didn't have a trailer hitch. I was surprised. 2. The radio does not have hands free capabilities. Also surprised me. Thanks

KELLY AI used the mobile app. it gave me wrong instructions where my U-haul was at. Then I hit back button when on the verify part of it and at that point I had accepted it and could not get back or find my info. The getting the truck was not a fun experience. Luckily the person working showed up early to help me. Returning it was super annoying, the part of taking photos was not a fun time. I had to take each photo like 20 times, the UI would not save the photo and just keep hitting the button to take a pic, click the check mark then it had me take a photo again 20x. Once I had the photo shoot complete for my model, It kept saying fix the photos in red, and I did and went through taking more shots and by the end, it took all the photos and I did not change anything but ended up taking more photos than I am proud of. Most people that take that many photos are getting paid well. I hope this review finds you well and your software guys can fix some bugs in it. Don't have a good day, have a great day!
Andrew SThe location was fine but the app was HORRIBLE! My first reservation didn't work, even after calling the support line and using the online chat. Later I made another reservation, and after jumping through many hoops, I finally got the truck. The process was painful.

SAMUEL OThe online process for picking up a truck before the location opens is complicated. I did not get a phone call the prior day as promised to learn the pick-up drill. Fortunately the attendant arrived an hour earlier and got me on the road - about 30 minutes later than planned.
Charles CThis location is great. U-Haul the company has terrible customer service. The customer service here though is great. They have to deal with U-Haul's false promises to customers and make things right even though it's U-Haul's for being insufficient and unreliable. I would recommend this location because they know how to help you when U-Haul won't. U-Haul promised me a call regarding a serious situation and never called. I was left in 97° weather waiting on a promised phone call from U-Haul that never happened. Luckily, someone from Storeland saw me on CCTV and was appalled that I still didn't get my truck and helped me. Thank you Storeland for helping me and showing me that you care when U-Haul clearly doesn't.
David KEverything went as smooth as possible. Very Satisfied... I walked in . The lady got me all set. Walked out with me to hook up the car dolly. Checked lights. Took picture Wished me a safe trip. Was on my way

DOUGLAS SInitial contact with the location after reserving online was they didn’t have the equipment that I had just 5 min prior RESERVED. Initial arrival (as I was already practically pulling into their lot) proceeded to put it off as a U-Haul problem (not that the storage facility just gave out the trailer that I reserved) with very little regard to actual customer service. In fact were it not for Kendra stepping in (because the initial poc and I assume manager couldn’t be bothered to complete the transaction) I would highly recommend at the very least some coaching to the franchise holder.
Kevin Avery knowledgeable. Only thing you should do is promote the person who rented the vehicle to me. She is uber-competent for the job she is doing.

charles pThe location attendant was a fantastic help, even though technically Uhaul hours did not start yet (10 AM on Saturdays). She compensated for the fact that the online check-in process through the Uhaul app was not working as it could not recognize my location properly. Unrelated to my review for this location - I reserved my truck at another location more than 2 weeks ahead of time, only to be told the night before our move that the requested truck was not available at that location and that I would be diverted to another. What is the purpose of making a reservation if this type of thing can happen at the last minute (and I had to find an alternative location that wasn't 1 hour out of my way as well)?
BENJAMINO RThe only complaint I have is the last minute change in pick up location. Was suppose to be Charlottesville but was then told Culpepper which is an hour away. The place was lovely and good people but inconvenient of uhaul to switch locations that drastically

Stephen MThe most rude person I ever dealt with. Car not ready on time, took extra hour. Paid zero attention to us while there, was extremely condescending to her coworkers/employees. And somehow charge me extra $150 claiming upon return claiming I didn't fold the moving towels/rags. Not worth anymore of my energy, I'll pay it. But for someone that works in ultra luxury resorts, I can only wish I had the chance to be this bad at my job and still keep it. You should be beyond embarrassed, but I highly doubt anyone would actually care. All the best moving forward. Cheers!

Andrea TTruck was extremely noisy, 105 decibels at times. The lack of cruise control was annoying. Cruise control should be standard as it helps reduce speed fluctuations.

Jim HChristina was such a help in my obtaining the cargo van,in spite of my day before need call. When the computer was not responding, she quickly gave me the 800 number to call to assure I got the only one that would be available. Above that, she double checked to be sure I had been able to access it. Thank her.

ALLANCORNELL WThe truck was clean but in terrible shape. The front end was so sloppy I was concerned about driving it on the highway. Other than that, the truck served its purpose. I will want a statement verifying condition of the vehicle before I rent from U-haul again. These trucks should be checked out more often. Feel free to contact me if you wish.
Steve KI have a storage unit at Storeland Self Storage, so renting a trailer from this location was ideal. Christina and Nikki in the office were so helpful and friendly during this rental experience, which I really appreciated since this is the first time that I've rented a trailer as opposed to a truck. They take very good care of those who have a storage unit there, so I would highly recommend Storeland for both your storage and U-Haul needs!

Roland CI didn't have a strong cell signal ot be able to do the self checkout. I ended up unable to complete the checkout as a result.

Vincent BChristina was excellent. Very helpful and easy going. She made sure I was taken care of, respected my time, and even hooked up the trailer for me. One thing I will complain about (not her doing at all) is the website allows you to book hours they are closed or at lunch and so on so if you book, definitely make sure you call prior to make sure they will be there and I assure you Christina will get you taken care of!
