JUDY PThe person at this location, it was a storage facility, told me to just give them the key. I asked if he needed any other information but he said no. I return the truck with the same amount of gas that I started with, and this morning I received a $57 bill for gas. No one has responded to my inquiry about this. You really are not doing a good job.
JAMES EPaying for mileage AND paying for fuel is really frustrating. What I thought was going to be a $40-ish rental for 2 hours turned out to be nearly double. I will have to think twice about doing this type of rental again. I have a moving company who offered to do quick move for $75 and I should have hired them.
John ZUhal did change the size of my truck THREE x before the actual event and tried to get me to pick up vehicle from other locations which didn't work for me but ultimately they did provide me with the right size at this location.

Benjamin WThere is no indicated key drop at the 2711 Tamarisk location. There is only an unmarked mail slot in the storage unit office which may confuse people. The office isn't open at all hours and only has one person, so may be out doing other business.

John SThere was red melted something on the passenger side, I informed them. I always take photos. Also, I insist on a credit for the gas I was charged. I only went 7 miles & I got charged for 3 gallons gas. In addition I reported the gas was lower than what the contract stated. Again I take photos befor me & after, and sent to the location. Please refund me. This has happened before.

David PEquipment was good, service was poor. Location was in an unrelated public storage facility called StorQuest, difficult to find with no signage indicating UHaul and I didn't have internet access to look for directions so went to the main office on Ramon and waited in a long, slow-moving line to be told they couldn't help me find the location to pick up the truck. They didn't even tell me it was hiding at a StorQuest. No one at the 1-800 number could provide directions or tell me to look for StorQuest either. It took 3 hours to complete the rental process. I did not get a copy of the contract and did not know there was a $30 "gas service fee" on top of the gas charge. The truck was driven only 19 miles for which $57.90 (over $3 per mile) was charged for gas! There should have been 2 gals.of gas used based on UHaul's estimate and the ideal driving conditions (small load, completely flat roads, lite traffic/very little stop and go, good weather, etc.) I was charged for 4 gals. The whole check in/out process appears to be designed to facilitate padding everything in UHaul's favor at the customer's expense: No copy of the contract provided when the truck is checked out, and no invoice provided when it is checked back in. You have to leave the key and wait to receive the invoice by email after you have left the office. I could not recommend this service to my worst enemy let alone a friend.
arthur hThe building is not marked ‘uhaul’ and had an out to lunch sign on the door. I rang the bell several times thinking the Stor Quest might be the Uhaul location. When someone came to the door she said we’re at lunch and didn’t want to help me. I said I didn’t know where to leave truck, etc. she took the keys and I told her I’d just put gas in to the 3/4 mark. When I got the receipt it said she charged me for 5 gallons. This is why didn’t want to just drop my keys off.

aj bThe location could not have been less helpful. They had you park the truck in a tight location without assistance and then simply took the keys and said that was it. U-haul had to call me the next day (I returned the truck a day early) to see if I was returning the truck because the site had not notified U-haul that it had been returned.

Andre CThe check-in was difficult. The van had a lot of prior scrapes. How was I to know that those had been previously documented? It was a ridiculous process uploading photos of scrapes. The mileage and gas level was wrong on the contract. The attendant said "Oh they took it for service for service so the mileage and gas level is wrong." Upon returning, the attendant said that I had driven 110 miles. That was incorrect. The attendant did not want me to verify the mileage myself (I had forgotten when I parked the truck.) I said, "I can look at the mileage." She replied, "I will correct it." I said I want to know how many miles that I am being charged for, certainly not 110." She replied, "About 80." I said, "That sounds reasonable." I walked away. She was nice when I rented the truck, but not nice when I returned the truck. I suspect she was having a bad day.
JAMES KAll of this registering online and scanning the drivers license and entering things to some Robot computer was really distasteful. Gone are the good all times when you actually got to deal with someone at the desk. It’s a sad state of America

ETHAN OI felt like my rental from the beginning was bad luck. I first was sent to a far away location that didn’t have my reservation. I drove to Palm Springs to pick up rental on Tamarisk. The guy David told me bring it back 3/8 of a tank. I put $15 in just before returning it at 3/8. I find on my receipt I was charged for 3 gallons. He said I left it just above a 1/4 tank. Not true I’m very frustrated with my experience and lack of customer service. He told me to call the main U-Haul number and discuss it with them and I told him that I had filled it I had the receipt he still told me to take it up with U-Haul I will never rent from this location again the truck was completely dirty trash gum wrappers nothing was left out and now I’m being charged for 3 gallons of gas incorrectly this is nothing but a rip off

DENNIS DWe cannot recommend U-Haul after this experience. Our cargo van was not available. We were “upgraded” to a 10 ft truck that cost more to drive the 200 mile distance and was harder to use with the cargo we were collecting. The U-Haul process has become entirely customer-dependent. While the clerk sat behind the desk, we constantly had to run out to the truck to follow text prompts on our phone. Even the exam of the truck’s condition is done with photos and descriptions on your phone. The advertised 24/7 is non-existent and a marketing ploy. Our truck was not ready at 7 as promised. The “help line” is completely useless. They could not get us into a truck in any location in order to meet our appointment. We had to return to the rental location at 9:30 to “check in”. Lesson learned: don’t use U-Haul but, if you must and want it early, get the night before!
PAMELA SIt's difficult to answer. I only rented a dolly which was easy to do. No problems at the counter or with returning it. I received my receipt promptly via e-mail.
JOSEPH SRemove the governor from the truck engine. Any time I hit 75 mph the power cut out. I didn’t feel safe driving and trying to pass others and spent the entirety of my rental counting the hours and minutes until it was over. What a nightmare. Also, consider offering a review survey holistic of the entire rental experience, not just the location where I picked up and dropped off my rental—this is some nonsense that won’t be helpful for uhaul corporate or other renters
