Seriously, offer customer the option to PAY for the vehicle cab to be cleaned. it was filthy, smelled and well was cleaned by me for an hour or so before using the truck. PLEASE review out initial reaction to the Indian canyon drive location in PS where our reservation was initially set. Close it down.

I was charged $15 for gas. I rented the truck for 24 hours but turned it in within 6 hours, not asking for a discount and certainly not expecting to be charged $15 for barely $5 worth of gas usage because it was not back at 1/2 tank as picked up, but about one step below it. A more fair way to treat a customer in a case like this would be to simply pass on such a charge when a truck is turned in 18 hours early, allowing you to rent the truck to someone else (make more money), and the customer was completely willing to suck up that cost, knowing that most customers would demand a refund for the remaining 18 hours of time of no usage, but yet being the good guy at U-haul got me burned and charged $15 extra. It is not the cost, but the principle. I will simply go to another moving truck service that can be fair to a customer next time and recommend that others do the same.

Hello, I was happy to find a location about 1 mike from my home. The reservation and pick up was very easy and convenient, however, that was the extent of the ‘good’ portion of my experience. The driver and passenger seats were very dirty and messy. There were old food containers and take out food left on the floor, which I had to clean out. I drove 130 miles to my destination, to find that the inside of the truck had a mound of dirt in it. I had to shovel then sweep the dirt out before I could actually use the truck to move my belongings. I feel like the dirt still got on my things. When I went to fill the gas tank, gasoline got all over my clothes, the truck and floor. There was obviously a broken part on this part of the truck, as the same thing occurred at multiple gas stations. This was highly dangerous in my opinion, and particularly negligent on the part of the company. Furthermore, when I returned the truck, I told the clerk about all of the issues. She barely had a response, telling my she was having a bad morning (is that even a real excuse?). I asked her why the truck was so dirty and not examined, and she said the staff frequently does not have time to clean/check the trucks between renters. Again, this is highly negligent and dangerous. I then inquired about filing a complain, and was told U-Haul was responsible, as the rental location was just a third party, and there was nothing they could do. Overall, this was quite an unpleasant experience. The customer service was very poor. I am still very angry that I payed $400 for a 2 day rental, when a company admits to flagrantly disregarding the posted standards of cleanliness and safety.

Dropping off the truck was very easy and very pleasant. The young lady (sorry. I didn't get her name either) was very polite and quick with the paperwork. Overall. Picking up the truck and dropping it off was very satisfying. No Muss. No Fuss!!!

Truck was very dirty. Box in the back had a lot of dirt and debris and there was a sign saying to return it clean to avoid a $25 charge. Clerk swept it out after we rented it. Also the windshield was very dirty.

Excellent website - easy to use. Only comment is the website gave a pick up location 6 miles away - however when I talked to an agent I learned there was a pickup on Fairrfax Ave, Los Angeles, only blocks away.

It was really frustrating because I had reserved the truck 3 days prior to pick up date and they called me at the very last minute to tell me the truck was not available, which I did not understand why it was reserved ahead of time. They sent us to another location where we had to "backtrack" to find, so I was unhappy with that part of my experience.
