I was supposed to pick up my rental in north port at 8:30. Then they called and said they wouldn't have one available until 11:00am. I showed up at 11:00 am to find that they do not know when the other two customers were going to bring either of the trucks back. They promptly called the customers without a response. We waited all day for a truck and finally they called back to say that they still did not know when either truck would be back. I did have them check other locations and they said I could pick it up in Venice at 2:00. I agreed because we were in desperate need even though it added many miles onto the cost. When we arrived at the Venice location, they were â€œclosed until 3:20â€. We didn't actually leave with the truck until about 4:00pm, from Venice, which is miles out of the way. I had to add an additional day to my rental because of your inability to have a truck ready for me when and where you said you would. This cost me much time and money.TABITHA C.

Manager opened the store 20 minutes late. Could not get the password she was given to open the computer working. Fortunately a manager from another store was there to pick up a truck and was able to help me using his tablet. There were no moving blankets available which I had ordered. Had to follow the manager to his store where he gave me the blankets. Truck appeared to need service.JAMES S.

When I explained the truck was not cleaned out and everything was wet inside the cargo bed so much so that water was dripping from the roof and puddles of water on the overhead area and in the front of the cargo area...I had to wipe the complete thing , floor and walls included...the only thing offered was to bring the truck back and exchange it. I did check the truck before leaving the store, but had not noticed the water. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told he was too busy. When I returned the truck I stated I was the one who called about the wet truck and all I got was a nod of head from the girl at the desk. The person who had the truck before me should be charged the $25 and it should be given to me as that truck was totally cleaned by me...walls, floor and roof. Will not be doing business with Storquest again.Jackie R.

Staff did not know system. We chose this location due to the proximity and convenience we assumed we would benefit from. It took much longer than we expected it to. The staff was not well trained on the system. Everything was a big deal and we left there feeling uneasy about the process and if we should use this service again.Samantha P.

Individual who checked me in (rental) was great, individual who checked me out (return) was annoyed because I asked for a receipt - I was uncomfortable leaving the premises w/ no documentation - how would I have proven the dolly had been returned if there was a discrepancy? If she was busy, I would understand, but there wasn't another sole on the premises, and she was just leaning back, staring at the PC screen.Dale K.

1) Staff could not answer whether the CDW carried any deductible aNd, if yes, how much. 2) Also, they failed to examine the van for damage and seemed unconcerned when asked, 3) The interior had not been cleaned: gravel in the cab and cargo area and windshield was filthy. I tried to drop trailer at an alternative location much closer to where I was. A very large dealer in Venice, FL. Was turned away as "not accepting any trailers" and I had to drive the extra distance to the originally scheduled drop. First time I ever had that happen.Irwin B.

The truck I rented was unbelievable bad smelling. It smelt like a barnyard that wasn't taken care of. I rented it at 10:12 drove it to my home and decided that it wasn't worth it due to the terrible odor that is permeating and fou smelling and drove it back to U Haul. The total mileage was i believe 7 or 8 miles.Thomas W.

Before I went to this location, I went to another a bit closer to my home. When I got to that first location, I was told they only accept trucks. I was given directions to another facility close by. When I arrived at the second facility, the signage indicated that turn-in was straight ahead. Followed the signage looking for an office. Drove around the whole facility. Drove back to the front of the facility and saw a side door that appeared to possibly be an office...it was but was not apparent when driving into the facility based on signage. There was a sign on the door not to enter without a mask so I returned to my truck and put on a mask. When I entered, the staff was not wearing masks...noncompliant with their own policy. I was told to leave the trailer where I had temporarily parked. This seemed odd to me so I backed the trailer into a spot while blocking incoming traffic. I had no spotter, unhitched the trailer my self, and by hand, myself, moved the trailer into an actual spot. I went back into the office and asked for a receipt showing I turned in the trailer and they told me they'd email it to me. Bottom line, signage was confusing and personnel, although never rude, were totally unhelpful. My last few experiences with U-Haul have been marginal at best locating turn-in locations because they can't be seen from the street, limited operational hours, only take certain rentals, having to turn in rentals online. Over my lifetime I have used U-Haul several times with great experiences...until the last few times due to the issues I mentioned above. I will probably look into other available rental options next time I need a trailer or truck.Steven J.
