It was too hard to find out where we were to pick up our truck. We did get an email but it was the day before. We were getting anxious before that and had to just start calling people to find out and no one knew.Jude V.

What a disaster of a business model UHaul has. I had to drive 30 miles, one way, out of my way to pick the trailer up, I was informed of the inconvenience less than 24 hours of my pick up time, and that delayed my move by nearly 2 hours. Terrible customer experience! I'd rather buy my own trailer than to go through that non-sense again. Advise- Figure out how to price in a way to get the equipment to the location the customer chooses if you're interested in your brand staying competitive. Otherwise, the guy I picked the trailer up from was professional and courteous. It's a shame he has to be on the receiving end of annoyed customers who are provided a sub-standard service by UHaul.Robert S.

Your corporate services were very poor. We called 2 weeks prior and reserved a truck. However no one had a truck for us in close location for us. We had to travel almost 45 minutes to get the vehicle which added miles and gas consumption to the vehicle usage. It just felt like we were getting a run around to get a truck.karen E.

I would not recommend a Uhaul truck to anyone and I'll never rent one again either! The truck was only a 10 footer. The biggest available I was told. What I was not told, was that it had no ramp, no dolly, and was not high enough for much of my furniture. Then when the bill comes I find the mileage is .99 a mile. The tiny truck with no ramp made the move a nightmare! All I heard was complaints about the truck and everyone, including me, thought all Uhaul trucks came with a ramp & dolly. I'm sure I'll never hear from anyone about this letter. It's a shame that a company as large as Uhaul would allow their customers to be so disappointed....violetta S.

I had to travel 28 miles one way from my desired pick up location. Also the computer at this location had a problem connecting so it took 1-1/2 hours to finish the paperwork and get me on my way. The gentleman was very nice and apologized. I wasn't happy with the loss of time.Ronald S.
While this location was clean, courteous, and professional; the scheduling was a DISASTER. I reserved a 15 foot truck from Valley View Road Altoona. I was allowed to reserve it, but 18 hours before pick up I was told no truck would be available in Altoona. I would have to drive over an hour away to pick up my truck. (UNACCEPTABLE). When I arrived I was given a 10 foot truck instead of the 15 foot that I reserved (UNACCEPTABLE). To add to this disaster I was charged a fee for over mileage (12 miles over) considering my reserved pick up point was 17 miles from my home and where I HAD to go was 62 - I would think UHaul could have waived that extra charge immediately. I have rented from UHAUL twice in the last month - I will NEVER rent from you again - it has been nothing short of a nightmare.JOHN W.

I tried to rent this truck at Penn Run. This was less then a mile from my home but I had to drive to Northern Cambria to pick it up. That was 17 miles from my home. So why have a sight in Penn Run if you are not going to supply it?William C.

I thought the employees were excellent and the location was nice, but I do not like that I was planning to pick up the truck in Johnstown, PA and they moved me to Northern Cambria. This added an additional hour travel time to just get the truck. I also only found out about this change of location the day before picking up the truck, so it was to late for me to look into other options. I feel this was poor service on Uhaul and not the location.Christina A.

When we called and reserved the truck, UHaul should have made arrangements to bring the truck to the location where we called, and not drive a total of 65 miles out of the way (that went against us in our mileage allowance).LAURA V.

Please understand that time had been taken to carefully plan the exact pickup in the Somerset PA area well in advance to the planned trip only to receive a call on the day prior of the scheduled pick up 600 miles into the trip,that there were no trailers available in the area .
