It was a terrible experience picking up the trailer. I arrived at the location which was basically an 8x8 room. There were broken computers spread all over the floor. There were 5 or 6 Jamaican migrant workers crammed in the room and I had to rub elbows with them while tripping over computer parts to get to the counter. After the man processed my credit card, he pointed outside to where the trailer was. He wouldn't assist me with hooking it up. It was a car transporter. It was in very poor condition and I had to pick up a very expensive car with it. I couldn't imagine a female customer having to go into that location. I was scared and I'm a large man. I had nothing but frustration by my entire uhaul experience On July 8th the 20 foot truck I reserved was revoked and someone took my truck even tho I did not cancel my truck. Canadas ATM interact and debut and banks and Rogers were down for a day which caused issues. I was promised a different truck of 20 and unlimited kms upto 900km Theb I had to spend a week in hotel because of uhaul messing up On the weekend of July 15 I again went to get my truck and was informed a hour before pick up that it would be a 10' not a 20' So then was promised more kms and it was then unlimited. As I had to travel many times because of the truck size change. Then I see you guys billed me another 300 The Wayne's auto repair claimed I didn't clean the truck I had 3 single moms clean that truck. Swept the back and everything. It truly was a terrible experience trying to use uhaul and I don't see myself recommending uhaul to anyone or using them againStephanie S.

I was supposed to pick up the 9' cargo van at 9:00 am but nobody was there. After 20 minutes or so there were a few of us waiting. Finally we'll after 10:00 somebody showed. It put me about 1.5 hours behind schedule for the day. I will not likely rent from U-Haul again.Tom P.

reserved a truck for 11:30 AM pick up, I arrived and the vehicle was not there. The truck was not returned until 12:30 PM (1 hour late). As a result, I was not able to complete my move as planned and needed to rent the truck for 2 days vs. returning it same day. The customer service rep showed no empathy regarding the situation and I was forced to pay for 2 day rental. Terrible experience and poor example of customer experience.Frank S.

The representative arrived an hour late from the reservation time. I had to wait at least 30 mins outside. Also, I asked to move the drop-off time from 3 PM to 4 PM as I couldn't pick up on time. Instead, he moved it to 2 PM after I left. So I was charged a double amount because of that. This is the second time something like this has happened to me at this location. In the past, when I mentioned during pickup that the truck needed cleaning. After the drop-off, this location charged me the cleaning fee. I had to spend hours with Uhaul to correct the charges.Loveparteek T.

Received email after booking that my rental was changed to 24/7 pick up. Booked pick up for 7:30am. Arrived onsite. Logged into uhaul account and message stated that my booking was changed to â€œin person pick upâ€. Called uhaul and after waiting for 45mins I told that the truck was not ready for a 24/7 pickup and would have to wait until store opened at 9am. Store employee arrived to work at 9:15 was extremely rude and did not apologize for being late. He then told me I had to have the rental back by 12:30. I said I will be returning it 4 hrs from now. Also requested an appliance dolly that was not provided in the truck for us. Overall I would not use this location for booking or even uhaul for that matter.Matthew M.

Everything was great, the pickup location was great. Only problem was that the truck bed wasn't clean, had borekn glass all over inside it. I had to clean it, but the owner of the pickup location gave me a customer service discount and made everything right.Ryan B.

A 17yo co-op student was left to run location on their own. Billing was messed-up and I was charged double. When I inquired about it and asked it to be adjusted and a partial refund, the co-op student said she couldn't do it and I had to wait for the owner to return to fix and call me. I received no call. I went online and had a â€œchatâ€ conversation with â€œRobertâ€ who I believe to be maybe a 5th grade co-op student as I think he had a very hard time comprehending written speech. I got a ref# and said someone will call the next day, that was now over a day ago. Nice service👍 for your repeat client that has used you as a go to for anything to move. The female co-op student was polite and I don't hold her responsible. But I ask youâ€¦who puts a 17yo co-op student to run such an establishment, if a vehicle or trailer needs to be moved to make it available, who's doing it? She's not qualified, she doesn't have a licence to do so, or be insured!GORDON D.

Trailer looked like it had kitty litter in it and smelled like that too. I told the girl that she said "dont worry about it we will clean it when it comes back". Back trailer lights were not working on one side. Hitch was very difficult to latch on and take off. Parking lot super icy and no one there to help me put on my truck. when we called the owner he said "if you dont know how to do it, look on youtube." Attendant did not know how to work the system. Had to wait for someone else to come in for approximately an hour. Truck I had reserved was completely buried in snow. The fan also wasn't working so the vehicle had no heat. Luckily, there was another truck available that I had to dig it out of the snow. Made me very late for what I needed to be doing. I picked up a 6 x 12 trailer and when I went to lift it up it was very heavy. The tong weight is around 100 lbs. Too much for one person to lift. Perhaps you could start to add a cranking dolly on the new trailers.MICHAEL B.
I booked my uhaul to be picked up at 9am. The attendant did not arrive until 9:37am. He had an employee waiting outside as well. He apologized to the employee for being late but did not apologize to me the customer. The truck was dirty. I would recommend that they be wiped down before the next guest. Although the truck wasn't dirty with garbage it hasn't been vacuumed or properly cleaned in a while. In covid times this was below expectations. It also had a smokers smell indicating previous rentals have smoked in the unit and is unappealing to a non smoker. Outside of this the process was easy and stroudtech was helpful when I called with a questionKen D.
The guy tried to scam me. Asked me if I wanted insurance and I said no and he still put it on my bill. When I returned the trailer I asked him why that was on the bill when I already said I didn't want it and he said he would remove it for the payment. Payment was taken from my credit card today and the insurance charge is still in the payment.PETAR C.

My original pick up location was local. It was changed to the Innisfil address on Innisfil Beach Rd., one hr away. When I arrived there was no trailer. I had to drive to above location 20 mins away. Does not let you know that if you go over the km you will be charged above and beyond. $600 total bill for a day rental. Absolute bs. Not notified of How many km I can go. Not the guys fault running the business.. Will never use U-Haul again. Customer service is a complete joke. Told me tough luck, pay the bill. His name was John mazeral. The rental was a circus. I live 5 minutes from the Uhaul dealer at 62 Commerce Park Drive which is where my reservation was supposed to be picked up. When I arrived there was another customer leaving with the trailer I had rented. The person at the desk stated that this person needed a trailer for an emergency and I would have to drive 15 minutes to another location to pick up the trailer. When I arrived there was no one working at the Yonge Street location. I am 60 years old and I could not lift the trailer with my back issue. Fotunately there was another older gentleman who arrived for a similar trailer and we helped each other to hook up. About 2 hours after I picked up the trailer I received a mail to complete regarding the condition of the trailer. It would not open. I had to call customer service and tell them the trailer was in good condition and returned in same condition. I received an invoice today with an $8 insurance which I did not request. I felt bad for the guy who was in the office. Mistakes were made and trucks weren't where they were supposed to be. He got the brunt of someone else's guarantee that didn't work. I rented a car hauler trailer to bring my car home. There was a taillight missing. It pulled fine when it was empty and lightweight but found on my way home loaded, the trailer had no brakes at al. That particular trailer was pretty long in the tooth. Time for some attention.Michael T.

Store wasn't open when I came to pick up the trailer, had to wait 45 minutes, Trailer was pretty beat up but I could look past all of that if mechanically it was in good shape but once I had picked up a car I realized the brakes were not working on the trailer!! It would bang loudly on acceleration and deceleration like the brake mechanism was working but there was no brakes Plus one of the tires was completely bald. Brutal!Anthony B.

my pick up location was changed on me 3 times in 24 hrs, from 2pm to 4pm. I was told they close at 4:30 so I had to rush to get it as i had made arangements for 2 pm and had to rearrage my day. Then I was told it had to be back before 8:30 am as it was needed for another booking. I was lucky that the shop stayed open till i got there as they have a gated lot and Do not open till 9am. The 2 people I talk to on the phone were nothing but rude and very uncooperative about everything. The service has gone into the trash with alot of your locations. trailers are not maintained, dirty, missing parts. I cant believe you let some of these locations stay open, its a huge dump and the operators dont care.KRYSTAL R.
