Overcharging for false mileage
Torianna DIt was very confusing, they did not seem to realize I had the app showing me to pick-up the trailer at there location. No help lifting the trailer onto my hitch, not sure why the trailers do not come with a jack. The trailer had low pressure on one of the tires that needed inflated before loading.
Chauncey MThe owner spoke poor English and was very unhelpful. I had to wait on him to call another person and talk to him on the phone speaking in another language. Now that was not the problem, it was the unprofessionalism of the entire incident. And once we finally got the keys to the truck, we had to wait until one of his workers gather all of his stuff out of the back of the truck because he was living in the truck. He was grabbing plastic bags with clothes and other stuff. He still ended up leaving a shirt and some other trash in the back of the truck. In the inside of the truck, it was sticky everywhere because apparently the man had a large plastic cup of soda leaking out into both cup holders. They were completely filled with soda. When the man called himself cleaning it, he put a few paper towels in the cup holders to try to soak up some of the liquid. However, he didn’t even clean all of that up. He left some paper towels and some soda in the cup holders still. I was not about to touch anything that was left in there. It was totally unprofessional! I took videos and pictures, but your check in site would not let me upload them.

Rossdarlyn RI've rented from Uhaul several times over the years. This time, Uhaul kept changing my reservation pickup location I assume due to the reservation guarantee. I ended up picking up at the 1833 W Hill location in Valdosta, Ga and I've never had this kind of unprofessional experience at Uhaul. First, it's a convenience store, which I wasn't overly bothered by, but the guy at the counter had to call another person at a different store in order for him to complete the Uhaul check out process...on the phone. The person on the phone had the guy read my photo ID information to him and take a photo of it with his phone and text it to him. I wasn't overly comfortable with this. Honestly, I was really in a tight spot and needed to pick up the rental that day (it was nealy 5pm on a Thursday and had been scheduled for movers the next morning for weeks! If I had more time I would have left this janky establishment!) I told the guy on the phone that I would not be reading my credit card info off to him over the phone and he stated I didn't need to because it was already in Uhaul's system. Normally I'm asked about how many miles do I think I'll be driving the Uhaul, this guy didn't ask me that...he told me it was Uhauls policy to assume 100 miles (even for an in town rental) and authorized the rental cost and assumed .99 times 100 miles (reimbursable if not used at return - I only used 11 miles). When I recived the Uhaul it had just a little under half a tank of gas in it but the email I recieved said it had half a tank so when I returned it, I put it at half. The counter guy told me I "put too much gas in it." Seriously?! Had I not, I'm sure they would've tried to charge me for me. Overall, I'd never intentionally rent from this location. If I'm in a situation again where Uhaul reassigns my reservation to this location, I am definitely canceling it! Very unprofessional. Also, the guy picked up a can of Raid and started spraying it in the air when myself and 2 other customers were at the counter. Yeah...no.
Sara BReserved 26ft truck and it was not there when I went to pick up . Had to settle for 20ft and that put me in a bind . Truck was dirty and had marjiana cigarette in cupholder that had been smoked . Very unsatisfactory and will likely never use U-Haul again
Steven CDon't even know where to start on this location. Employee was rude, other customers were ridiculously rude. It was not at all an expectable location. The homeless folks in the parking area cussing us out and calling use "f..ing perverts" as we parked the truck was an added bonus.

Rita TAgain, language barrier!! And I had to unhook the 12' trailer by myself, as a cripple this was not right!! Would not have known this place was a U- Haul location except for the U-Haul truck (1) in the rear of the building. Had no clue what to do with the trailer wire connector I returned to him....... For the $459 dollars I spent, I would have expected better service

samantha hWent into this store and took over an hour to get the U-Haul because the person who doesn't even talk English had to call another person who also didn't talk English and the person was more interested in watching people who came into the store to make sure they were not going to steal from him than anything else. IF, and that's a big IF .. Have to rent another U-Haul, you can bet it won't be from this location.
Barbara MAt this location they are very rude. There is a language barrier and that makes things difficult. And my 4 year old nephew got sick and threw up on the ground in there parking lot. And he tried to complain about it! That was a baby he couldn’t help that he got sick. They need better customer service skills. Because I almost went off but I didn’t want to scare my nephew.

PAM WYall took my money after saying yall was going to give it back, not only that but yall told me uhaul could be above half a tank it would be fine to return it but when i got back their and left i had money coming off my card for a uhaul after the fact i paid over 150 for uhaul from beginning!
Rebecca DFirst our original location pick up site got moved to 25 miles further away. Original site was only 5 miles from my house. As we are on the way to a 5pm pickup I get a text saying our truck will not be ready until 7 or 8. We call UHaul customer service looking for another truck in local area, and the closest one is two hours away. They then tell me the local dealer rented out the truck at 3:30pm. We go back n forth before finally getting the truck around 6:30pm after driving all the way home and then getting a call to come back to get truck. Truck was clean and good, but this experience was not great. We had the reservation well in advance for 2-3 weeks prior. There was no compensation giving either for the error on the dealer or UHaul part. This experience has me questioning whether I will use UHaul in the future.

Karen UThe truck was pulled on the side of store. He came out and told us we had to do everything. When asked why he began to yell and get very rude. He said it was not his responsibility to put the truck, trailer,and dolly into the correct spot. He began taking pictures of the driver which I told him not to. When I went in to give him the key he said he didn't want it because we park in the road and we would move the truck to take the truck to another location. We ended up doing everything ourselves because I didnt want an extra charge on my card. He was very rude and disrespectful.

claude mI could hardly understand them. The main one was on the phone not in person. Then I had to rent the biggest truck just to pull a Escape. Very very bad experience.
Craig LThe person was friendly and helpful, as well as professional. I needed a dolly desperately, but this location had none available. I had to rent a dolly from an equipment rental company. The cost was 35 dollars per day. It was terribly inconvenient not to have at least one dolly available.

Kiora LThe attendant was VERY rude and condescending. I would have thought since I was the only customer there both at pickup and return, he would have been a little more appreciative. I originally had a pickup at another location but the rental was not returned there and that attendant, who was VERY apologetic and helpful, sent me to the Stuckey's location as it was one of the few locations open on Sunday.
