First, I was unimpressed with how my drop off locations was changed at the last minute, via a text sent to me. And then switched to a location about 35 miles away from me (my designated drop off was only 2 miles away from me). After calling in and complaining, customer service identified the E Washington St location for me which was only about 5 miles away from me. Much better. But after arriving, it was hard to find someone there running the location, and dropoff seemed odd to me - no receipt and acknowledgement of drop off, review of the condition (to acknowledge it was in good shape and clean). I took a lot of pictures at the dropoff location just to make sure I didnt run into an issue later about this. This did not seem to me to be a good way to run the drop off, and was concerning. I did receive an email the next day via this receipt closing the rental. So all worked out fine, but overall this was not a great way to run this part of the business. May save Uhaul money doing it this way, but its not a customer friendly way, and if this is how its done in the future, I will be looking for another firm to rent from when needed. Unfortunate, as I like the folks in Apollo Beach and the convenience of their location for me.

First, the agent was late, then I was standing outside in the cold while he figured out everything and concluded the transaction on his cell phone. If he hadn't let me in the building to use the restroom the rating would have been lower. The trailer looked rough and ill-maintained. The door and locking device were difficult and not nearly smooth to operate. The exterior was a poor advertisement for U-Haul. It apparently was a victim of vandalism a while back where someone had taken something sharp and did X's all over the front and sides. From there the weather and time had peeled back the decals. The left rear turn signal was sporadically dim and normal. Silver tape was used in the front of the roof for weather protection. The trailer had been swept out, but leaves blew in through the open door. Even though the suspension was a little noisy, was not a problem for the trip. However, not a good look for U-Haul.
