It's not about the location, i did the whole transaction through the Uhaul app. The only problem i had was trying for more than an hour to load the odometer and gasoline photos to no avail. In the end i messaged Uhaul customer service through the app and also by phone call, and they resolved the issue of not being able to finish my rental truck hand off. When I arrived, the clerk at the desk was dealing with a lot of people buying lotto so I had to wait about 30 mins. The clerk gave me a key and explained nothing to me and no paperwork. While driving the truck, it started to over heat and I had to pull over. When I popped the hood there was no antifreeze. I returned the truck and the clerk asked me what level was the gas when I was given the truck and how many miles I drove. This is unacceptable. All of this should have been noted when the keys were given to me. It's not my job to guess what level was the gas tank when I'm returning the truck and the clerk should know how many miles I droveEsilla C.

The attendant was terrible, he didn't know what he was doing. he skipped over me several times. I gave him all the information of my order, which was paid in full. after 45 minutes of waiting, he gave me the key to the truck & said its over there. i asked for a receipt & he said your good . the truck had 1/4 tank of gas. I returned the truck on 1/13/22 at around 3pm and gave the key to the 2 guys who were at the cashier. They told me that it's ok to leave the key with them because it is the manager who was not there at the moment who is in charge of receiving the vehicle online. Now to my surprise, I am charged an extra day! For what reason?! I called Sultan Petroleum and talked to a certain Abdul and asked for the manager but as per Abdul, the manager was not available. Please avoid these kind of transaction wherein U-Haul charges for extras as it own whim! Also remove the illegal charge on my behalf.Humphrey C.

At pickup there wasn't a dolly and I wasn't able to take it off my order. There also wasn't any help or ability to on the worker's part since he was the only attendant there and he was dealing with gas customers plus selling lotto. During drop off I asked about the dolly and was told that it would have been removed by the manager one HE closes off my bill but the app gave me an adjusted total based on the ending mileage. Again, I spoke with the attendant Arbaz to help me close out my transaction without getting charged a second time. He told me to just leave it, his manager will take care of it. I was not comfortable doing so since I had uploaded the pictures of how I left the van. The following day I received a call from a U-Haul rep asking if I returned the vehicle last night. Shortly after that's when I received my receipt via email with the charge for the dolly still on there. A few things I'd suggest is that the system is updated for unavailable items to be removed by the attendant at pickup to avoid being billed for items not received. Secondly, the ability to upload before photos doesn't work very well, it stays â€œuploadingâ€ and never does plus anything you put in is lost if you â€œdismissâ€ the process.Eleonore E.

Please be sure who represents you. The location and representative is very disorganized, untidy and discombobulated. Representative was unable to locate the reservation,even though given the the reservation number and my name. I had to call customer services support for assistance. The phone representative was immediately able to locate reservation and instruct the pickup location representative on the key number for reservations. Even then the representative, seemed confused. He give me two keys, then started that, the first key is blocking, my reserved equipment, so I should remove the one blocking to get the correct truck. The reserved equipment was filled with animals hair on the passenger seat, juice spill on the floor, smelled like urine. The equipment was not clean for my appointment. After leaving the location, I then realized that my card was charged, more than the reserved price. I would never do business nor recommend any one to do business with this represented U-Haul location.CYRONANEIL J.

My experience was horrendous! I should never have to speak to 4 people to get assistance. There is a lack of knowledge and the system is extremely dated. The entire mobile check out process was a waste of my time and really delayed my day. Get it together!!!!Sapphira B.
The customer service at this location is extremely disappointing, There's only 1 person and he's extremely rude, when you ask a question his response is I don't know call customer service. When I told him that's not the way you speak to people his disgusting response is I don't care. During the mobile pickup and check-in process there was no recommendation or confirmation on the cleanliness of the interior cargo area. After picking up the vehicle and leaving the pickup location, I discovered that there was garbage (twine, cardboard, styrofoam and personal items) from a previous user. U-haul now says I am responsible to pay a cleaning fee for another renters garbage.Jacob H.

I returned the car around 9:30pm far before 10:00 pm to avoid the extra charge of $20 and received verbal confirmation that I was good. However the extra service charge was not waived. The van was dirty and so damaged that the rear door would not open properly. A very disappointing experience not like what I experienced on a normal base.Markus W.

You must be sure to fulfill a customer reservation, and with that I mean vehicle size and time. I had made a reservation for a 20 footer for pickup on a particular date at 7:30 am. That reservation were made 3 weeks prior to the pickup date, when I got there the it was unavailable.I didn't get out of there until 10:00 am with a 26 footer instead. What a disaster!!!Rodolfo R.

The experience was horrible. You guys changed my 26 foot truck to a 20 foot truck the night before my move. I had to rent another truck just to make it work. So in the end I had to pay for two trucks, double the fuel and double the tolls. The worst.Francesco B.

I arrived to pick up my reserved 15' truck at around 11:45 am for my one-way trip from Brooklyn to North Bergen, NJ. "I'm just eating lunch. Give me ten minutes." He finishes his lunch.... The truck reserved for me had not been 'checked in' from the last time it was used, so the person working there had to check it in before he could give it to me. "Give me ten minutes." It turns out that there is some kind of technical issue with checking in the truck to close out the transaction of the user who had it last. "I need to call my boss." I wait and wait. Eventually, I suggest that he change my reservation to a 10' truck. We make the arrangements. Now I won't be able to return the truck to North Bergen (convenient), I have to drop it off in Newark (far less convenient; we don't own a car). "I requested a dolly for my truck, is it in the truck?" "Yes." "There's no dolly in the truck." "Ok. Grab that one." Finally, after 75 minutes, I'm on my way. The friend who volunteered to help me move boxes and furniture is with me, but he only has a limited time to help, and we spent 75 minutes at the gas station getting the truck. This meant that I had to do much of the packing myself. The truck pick-up foul-up was a major inconvenience. 0/10 would not recommend.Andrew K.

My pick up time was at 9am, I arrived at 8:45 am and had to wait until 9.25 am. Pick up should be much faster since we are reserving in advance. Also when I took the rental back, they charged my card the estimated amount and not the actual amount. Which was higher than the actual amount. Please check your mileage to ensure you are being charged the correct amount after rental.DESMONDD B.
