This pick-up was easier than an actual U-Haul store. Quick, easy, and the truck was in excellent condition.
GARY HNice as the staff were, because this is not a real U-Haul center, there was little the staff could do to correct errors. U-Haul set this as my pickup location (for $40 discount), but because this is just a gas station, they did not have the extra equipment that was part of my rental. I had to go somewhere else. There were issues with the check out and, in the end, I was delay two hours in departing, which affected my drive that day. I will make sure to only pick up at proper U-Haul centers in the future, although I might come here if the *only* thing being picked up was a truck (no blankets, dolly, or anythingelse).
EDWARD FWas not open to return equipment during posted hours. Didn't bother to check equipment in until 5 days later and had added several hundred additional miles to equipment when it was checked in.
DANIEL WI think there should be a sign or something to indicate that the people in this location deal with U-Haul’s because I called this location to ask if we were in the right area (since this U-Haul location is just a gas station with two U-Hauls) and he was very unhelpful. The man kept giving us the address and would not explain that the gas station and auto shop were the ones who dealt with the u-hauls and he ended up hanging up on my friend and I. This is very frustrating to me because we were there extremely early and only wanted to make it to our reservation on time. After that, I came up to the concession stand part of the gas station and found out that the same man on the phone was there. He said that the auto shop is where I had to go and that a man should be there to help me out…. There was no one in the auto shop until 8:50AM. I was told the day before by a U-Haul representative that this location opened at 8AM so I made my reservation at 8:30AM. I had to push back my reservation because I didn’t want to have any penalties against me, despite me being on time to my reservation. I asked the concession stand man who deals with the U-Hails and he said the man is actually sitting in his car and pointed at a minivan. I had to walk up to the minivan and ask him if he could help me, but turns out he didn’t even deal with the u-Hauls, but he called the man who did and he said that the actual person will be there at around 8:50 (this is also the person who deals with the auto shop.) Once the auto shop man came, everything went more smoothly but he had told another lady they open at 9AM but someone else had told her they open at 8AM. This whole experience at this location was extremely confusing and frustrating. I will not be back at this location.
